I prolly gotta make an individual blog for IGNI!.....
Eh, I'll get it organized later.
For now I'm just gonna dump fandom stuffs here
What a great end to Art Fight 2024 (although I am late on the uptake to post).
I got to make 20 pieces of art, which is a significant improvement from my previous experiences, where I posted like 4-5 instead. I had a lot of motivation and good (?) work ethic / process to do that much, so I'm pleasantly surprised by the results!
Additionally, I was experimenting more to see how to streamline my work process, so there is a lot of experimentation regarding lineart, coloring, screentones, and compositions!
So here, I'll be showcasing all 20 of them, with credit to the characters' owners at the end of the post.

Scavengers Reign has arrived to Netflix! I caught this one on its previous HBO Max run and it is a beautiful, brutal masterpiece. I was riveted from start to end to see if the crash survivors could overcome the hostile environment they were stuck in.
This animated series focuses on the clash between human drama and the trials of survival with a focus on the natural world and its perils. Nothing is familiar. Everything is alien and strange and unexpected with masterfully rendered environments that intrigue and terrify. I would perhaps define this as scifi eco-horror?
It's not for the faint of heart, but if you have the stomach, go give this a watch! It deserves another season, but won't get one at Netflix if the
viewership doesn't support it. Go and let them know this is a keeper!
A trailer for the curious:
Heavily recommend doing a summary of art- it's a nice way to look back at your growth (esp if you have ones from previous years as well)
Saint in the Wires • seraph is the only member of our planned CAIN group that can't touch the physical world with their blasphemy, but they have other methods for violence :]
Three.
I want this man DEAD in the GROUND.
Oddly, gave me the image of Saint as a Hydra. Not sure how on or off brand that is.
Scug but also dragon flavourd
ideas, concepts and other designs under cut.
Arti was heavily based on western-dragon depictions and skywings in particular. They definitely look more like a dragon than a slugcat.
They're more kitty like in these sketches.
Originally I wanted to make dragon inspired designs for all the dp gang, but I'm indecisive about how to approach saint, and spearmaster stumped me. But I do have gourm concepts.
been listening to prime defenders
A real good game- but can be played real heavily. I recommend getting a feel for how dark your players are comfortable getting- and possibly include CWs/ get a good idea of your players’ hard nos and phobias. Boundaries aside, it’s a very good game that can sprout some excellent characters. I’ve mostly seen it run as one shots, which can be dramatic and can easily end in character death or cataclysmic failure if y’all like a trajedy. I’ve also seen some people try to run it as proper campaigns (thank you again to my wonderful DM friend [i’m sorry I never run anything man]) and that can bring out some real poignant and angsty character and relationship arcs. The seeds are laid in the ruins of broken men.
There’s also a CAIN official Discord, as well as a few channels for it in the LANCER Discord if you want more thoughts from more sources
But yeah- heavily recommend. I get to play my horrible son seeing good people die for no reason. It’s awesome.
anyone playing/running tom bloom's CAIN? i'm very normal about it & plan on running some sessions w/ some friendos & i wanted to get a feel of what others think about it!
