Nikolai's mouth went dry. He knew. He knew the truth in her words.

"I get dirty looks and wandering hands. I get down for the king, so they can take all the liberties they want." Her face turned into a grimace as if she could taste the foulness of her words.

some guy tries to get handsy with Zoya and Nikolai gets a harsh reality check on society's double standards.
