Ancient Brahmana texts associate Mitra and Varuna with the two lunar phases and same-sex relations:

(Shatapatha Brahmana 2.4.4.19)

“Mitra and Varuna are the two half-moons: the waxing one is Varuna and the waning one is Mitra. During the new-moon night these two meet and when they are thus together, everyone is pleased."

Along with this Bhagavata Purana (6.18.3) lists Varuna and Mitra as having children through non-vaginal sex. The great sage Agastya and Vasistha were born from water pots after Mitra and Varuna discharged their semen in the presence of Urvasi. This account is similar to Gay couples having children through surrogate mothers in modern days.

Bhagirath is a prominent figure amongst Hindus. He brought the Ganga down to the earth from heaven which three generations of his ancestory tried but could not succeed. Ganga is also named as Bhagirathi in the honour of him. King Dilip of Ayodhya had two wives, Chandra and Mala but no children. He died childless. Then the sun lineage of kings would not have their heir and after few generations lord Vishnu had to incarnate in this royal family as lord Ram. After his death, his wives got worried because there was no heir to the royal lineage. They went to the family rishi Vashistha and request them to help them continue the family line. Vashistha gave them blessings that a son would be born to them. He then performed Putreshthi sacrifice which is perfomed to get blessed with a son . He then prepared a potion as the prasad of the ritual. He then gave this potion to Mala to drink and advised Chandra to approach Mala and have sexual intercourse with her with the bhava of a man. Hence bhagirath was from the union of two vulvas (bhaga)and named so.

Soma and Agni

There are several instances of homosexual or bisexual activity not always for deriving sexual pleasure. Agni, the god of fire is married both to the goddess Svaha and the male Moon god Soma with Agni having a receptive role in this relationship. Interestingly, another aspect of this story as advocated by ancient rishis was that there were two elements, fire (agni for sun) and water (soma for moon), determining the gender of a child.

Gender fluidity of Shiva and Vishnu

Both lord Shiva and Vishnu are major gods in Hinduism and one of their prominent avatars has included change of gender or fluidity in gender. Vishnu's female Avatar Mohini first appears during the episode of amrit manthan where she tricks the asuras into giving the amrit to the gods. She also charms bhasmasura and leads him to his doom. In his Mohini avatara he marries aravan the son of arjuna (god of transgender community) . Some legends of South also suggest that union of Mohini and Shiva resulted in the birth of lord Ayyappa.

The characteristics of Shiva have either been extreme masculine or extreme feminine . You will find many legends which tell the tale of times when shiva would change his gender in order to entertain and play with his wife Parvati. Also known as Natraja Shiva is depicted as the perfect balance between masculine and feminine energy.

Budh and ila

The way Budh accepted him/her even after knowing truth literally screams that gender is not a limitation when love is true

Ila the king of Bahlika while hunting in a forest accidentally trespassed Sharavana ("Forest of Reeds"), the sacred grove of the goddess Parvati. Upon entering Sharavana, all-male beings except for Shiva, including trees and animals, are transformed into female when Ila approached Shiva for help, Shiva laughed with scorn but the compassionate Parvati reduced the curse and allowed Ila to switch genders every month. However, as a male, he would not remember his life as a female and vice versa. While Ilā roamed the forest in her new form with her female attendants, Budha, the god of the planet Mercury and the son of the moon-god Chandra, noticed her. Although he had been practising asceticism, Ila's beauty caused him to fall in love with her at first sight. Ilā married Budha and spent an entire month with him and consummated the marriage. However, Ilā woke one morning as Sudyumna and remembered nothing about the past month. Budha told Ila that his retinue had been killed in a rain of stones and convinced Ila to stay with him for a year. During each month she spent as a woman, Ilā had a good time with Budha. During each month as a man, Ila turned to pious ways and performed austerities under the guidance of Budha. In the ninth month, Ilā gave birth to Pururavas, who grew to become the first king of the Lunar dynasty. Then, as per the advice of Budha and Ila's father Kardama, Ila pleased Shiva with a horse sacrifice and Shiva restored Ila's masculinity permanently. Despite his once again gained manhood budha and ila continued to be in love and though not as a husband and wife but as lovers stayed together.

Hinduism is not a religion which has highlighted sexuality or love relationships in details. Mention of relationships (Regardless of sexuality) has only been in detail if it played a major role in progressing the plot. Regardless of this fact we haven't shied away from acknowledging the presence of community and their existence. You may find it difficult to find this stories in real life as during the colonial period the British as well as some of our national leaders (Gandhi, Nehru) tried to erase them to fit in with the idea of modernization (as defined by the west).We literally had books like kamasutra and original Vedas where same sex couple and trans people were talked about normally but thanks to Colonialism many bastards in power altered them. I request everyone to reblog this and just fking rip apart the idea that LGBTQ community has never been a part of Hinduism or indian culture.

With the increase of alien characters in season 3, we are getting away from this being purely the Altean language. Unfortunately, there’s no real way of knowing what is and isn’t considered “altean”, so I’m just going to continue to use “Altean Language” as the tag.

Weblum - a giant space worm that eats dead planets, re-purposing the material into “the building blocks of new solar systems”. They produce the scaultrite mineral, used for Altean Teludav lenses.

Duflax - an Altean creature with a beak and webbed feet

Gruuvwart - a galaxy-sized poisonous toad. It’s inner ear contains a small island of earwax that can make 1 wish come true. Once there, the only way out is to use the wish to escape “Kind of a wasted trip” - Coran (comics)

Mangaadnii - A large green alien with wings reminiscent of a flying squirrel. They breathe electricity and destroy worlds. Voltron is smaller than a baby Mangaadnii’s finger (comics)

Nunvill - a purple beverage that purportedly tastes like hotdog water and feet. Other commentary includes “the nectar of the gods”, “makes a wonderful hair tonic”, and “settles the stomach and brightens your smile”

Quiznak - a swear word, similar in use to Fuck, crap, or hell (ie: “Oh quiznak” or “What the quiznak”)

Quintessence - a type of energy. Context from the world indicates that it is likely some form of Life/spirit energy [EDIT] It’s a real word! According to dictionary.com : noun1.the pure and concentrated essence of a substance.2.the most perfect embodiment of something.3.(in ancient and medieval philosophy) the fifth essence or element,ether, supposed to be the constituent matter of the heavenly bodies,the others being air, fire, earth, and water. Sincline ships - Lotor’s trans-reality ships. A nod to Lotor’s original GoLion name

Zaiforge Cannons - Very powerful Galra cannons. Commandeered by the rebels and the Blades of Marmora

Hoktril - a device from the alternate reality that is embedded in the back of the subjects head, eliminating their “will”. Basically turns them into mind controlled puppets.

Klygarg - a computer used to record logs. Used by Vakala and his partner

Gendocam - unknown technology. Pidge and Hunk were arguing over how to optimize it.

Vlexagane - unknown technology. Pidge and Hunk were arguing over how to optimize it.

Cryopod, cryo replenishers, and sleep pods have all been used to describe the same unit

Galra History and Culture

Kral Zera - both the torch like monument and the name of the coronation ceremony

The Archivist - in one in charge of the Kral Zera ceremony

Feyiv, one of the first planets they conquered, is considered their sacred land

Zaipirium Siege - an even in Galra history. The underwater Galra base from this period is implied to be very old.

The first emperor of the Galra was named Brodar.

Vrepit sa - Literally “the killing thrust” Refers to a point in history when Daibazaal was home to many warring races and the “Galra” gathered their fiercest warriors and struck at their enemies with a phalanx formation.

Blood emperor - Dayak refers to Lotor with this. The term hasn’t been used since before the galra were a star-faring race

Dayak - Lotor’s governess. She taught him History, customs, battle philosophy, the art of war, etc. Breifly taught Hunk.

Polen-Bol - “The enlightening pain”. Part of the galra philosophy that the body must be broken for enlightenment/learning.

The color pink is used to honor fallen warriors

The land of Oriande is the origin of Altean alchemy, but widely believed to be a folktale. It is located in the Patrulian Zone

Compass stone - a tool used to get to the magical realm of Oriande

The Sages of Oriande - aslo known as the Life Givers. They were the 1st Altean’s to unlock the secrets of Oriande, leading to the creation of Altean Alchemy

The Mark of the Chosen - The glowing of the Altean facial markings. Some Alteans are more magical than others.

The master in Shiro’s tragic™ backstory is named D’Jahno

Allura didn’t seem to know that Lotor was half Altean. Coupled with the memory scene with Haggar, it is implied that Lotor was born sometime after Haggar and Zarkon became corrupted. He is likely younger than Allura.

There's a new club in London, and it's all anyone can talk about.

Normally, Constantine wouldn't care, but the reports are...odd.

It's a club that no one knows the name of, and apparently the only way to be permitted entrance is to just 'follow the wind' and eventually end up there?

Whoever attends has the equivalent of a religious experience, and is never the same again. Sometimes they display PTSD, sometimes they go from shy and quiet to boisterous and super extroverted; it's an unpredictable scale.

But they all say they had the time of their lives.

It sounds like magic, honestly.

More concerning, there's also talk of drugs that no one knows the names of. Talks of people who had friends eat or drink at the club and found themselves unable to leave. People who go in and literally forget their name.

It sounds fae.

He...maybe admits he needs to look at before some fae court enslaves all of London.

So he takes to wandering the streets of London at night, just willing himself to find the damn place.

Also trying to find anything off or odd, and following unknown magic signatures that could be fae in nature.

After a month, he finally finds it.

Except it isn't fae.

It's a club in the Infinite Realms, only accessible through a constantly moving portal.

Which.

Is so much worse than the fae, for so many reasons.

First and foremost, there's definitely a lot more missing people he has to find and drag back to the mortal realm, if they're still alive. And sane.

Why is there a lot more people missing?

Because the portal is constantly moving, which means there's no way it's just been migrating through the backalleys of London.

This is confirmed when he meets eyes with a very exhausted looking Green Arrow, who has been missing for a good three weeks last Constantine heard.

Green Arrow tiredly lifts up a glass of something in a toast, beckoning Constantine over.
