It's literally damage over time, I am bedridden---weak. Blehhh
I must hate myself something fierce because I thought it would be smart to eat ice cream. I'm lactose intolerant and I would like to write my fanfiction now please and thank you. I swear I do this type of shit every day and I never learn.
"Maybe it'll work out this time" no, shut up phoseo, it won't
hmmm, the more you know. I don't see a lot of the fics in the worm tag on ao3, tbh a lot of the stuff that i filter out of my searches would probably annoy people
note that this poll is meant to represent romantic (though not necessarily sexual) ships, not your favorite QPR. If you like, say, Aisha/Alec or Lisa/Taylor as strictly platonic partners, but only in this scenario, then please don't pick it as your favorite ship!
Other less popular taylor ships (like Taylor/Alec) are not included in this poll, I will be posting a second poll with Taylor-specific ships later
make sure to tell me what you think and why you think it!
now, hypothetically, how does one find a "beta-reader"
the fic isn't written yet, still working on the outline, but I feel like I'm going to need earlier feedback than hoping for comments when I start to publish it
is there a store to get one, or do I need to go on a quest to acquire, the beta-reader? hypothetically
I've a note document on my phone that I scribble in whenever I have either a new idea or an expansion to an existing premise within the document. It's organized by a line of space between individual ideas with a basic description line at the top designating either the fandom(s) involved or if it's an original work.
Some of them are literally just something like "[fandom] vampire au, there's something here, figure it out later"
only sort of related to the wip meme that's going around, i'm curious, now: how do you, personally, organise your wips?
this does not feel like a poll kind of situation—it's a 'just reply or reblog and add to the body of the post' kind of deal. please feel free; i'm genuinely curious.
So I went through almost all of Raya Lucaria today, I think theres some items on cliffs and rooftops I still need to get, but I'm just gonna circle back in the future. Some notes:
1. The Iron Virgin past the Red Wolf boss is super creepy and uncomfortable, I did not enjoy being grabbed by it even though it did low damage relative to my 40 vigor healthbar.
2. I really really don't enjoy Putrid Corpses or any of their varietals, the less I have to deal with them the better. I dont know if its some kind of zombie phobia, I'm fine with skeletons, but the corpses scare the crap out of me, especially ones that continually respawn (i.e. Impaler's Catacombs).
3. Both of the bosses in the Academy were pretty easy at the level I'm at (mid 60s), and I genuinely enjoy fighting the puppet enemies, they're so interesting.
4. Between the Academy and Stormveil, the legacy dungeons carry the classic Dark Souls vibe the most imo. Vast ruins slowly being reclaimed by time, filled with the twisted forms of the previous denizens.
5. The Sorcerers are easy to cheese, Longbow+Stormhawk arrows is good (though now I need more feathers from Stormveil).
Not really sure what I'll do next in the game, I definitely don't want to move to the Altus plateau too soon, and I intend to go for the Age of Stars ending, so I suppose I need to work on getting into the Carian Manor? A challenge for a while from now, ought to shift back to other hobbies with such a distinct rest point.
Back at it again with another Parahumans fandom question.
Just thinking about something for a fic I'm writing that sort of applies to the setting at large, did Columbine happen on Earth Bet? Because from what I can tell it didn't. The Columbine shooting was the catalyst in the US to get increased surveillance and security in the school system which led to all the security cameras in the hallways and on campus in schools of all levels.
The reason I think this didn't happen on Earth Bet because if schools like Winslow were using security cameras then the extensive bullying campaign Taylor was on the receiving end of would have stopped way sooner. But even if it hadn't, she was shoved into her locker, objectively, and hallways in schools are generally where cameras are most frequently, so if there was a camera in that hallway then it could've been easily determined who put Taylor into the hospital. I guess the fact that that doesn't happen means that either 1. School shootings such as Columbine never got national attention like in our timeline or 2. Winslow is so corrupt and underfunded that it can't meet DOE security standards in a public high school.
I know there's some fanon about how corrupt and evil Principal Blackwell is, but security cameras provide a certain objectivity to events that theoretically should have been easy to obtain during the investigation as to what happened? I dunno, thoughts just spiraling.

top researchers in the lab still finding out more on how shitty and miserable eidolon's life is
It's such a fantastic feeling to have your creative work and effort recognized by someone you respect and admire. Nothing else like it, honestly.
