D-1 until anniversary trip

“What happened?” Jin asks. He held his phone close to his ear as his father explained why they couldn’t make it to their house today. His parents were supposed to come home the day before you two leave for your trip. Unfortunately, Jin’s parents weren’t going to make it. 

“We just had some car troubles, it’s getting fixed by one of our friend’s son. We should be there tomorrow though. What time are you and Yn leaving again?” His dad asks. 

“Latest we can leave is noon,” Jin says. “Are you sure you’ll make it here before then? We have a plane to catch.”

“I’m sure, I’m sure. Well,” Jin’s dad says. “I’ll see you then. Bye.”  Jin laughs at his dad’s abrupt ending, hanging up the phone before he could even respond.

D-Day of anniversary trip!

“You have to be good when grandma and grandpa come, okay?” You tell Haneul. 

“When are they coming?” He asks, leaning onto the couch. 

“Later at about,” you check the time on your phone, it was about 8 in the morning.  “2 hours.” You look at your son who furrows his brows at you. You forgot he has no concept of time yet. “If we start watching Zootopia right now, when it finishes, grandma and grandpa will be here.” You explained. Haneul raises his eyebrows and his mouth went into an ‘o’ shape. “Yeah,” you giggled, knowing he understood it now. 

“We’re leaving before your siblings get out of class so you’ll be going with grandma and grandpa to pick them up okay?”

“Okay~” Haneul says, getting up from the couch and walking away.

“Where are you going?” You ask, getting up to follow him. 

“Let’s watch Zootopia in your room,” he says. “So grandma and grandpa can come.” You laugh at his reasoning as if that’s the only way they could come over. But you agree nonetheless.

The movie was coming to the end. Nick Wilde graduates from the police academy and he and Judy Hopps become partners. You check your phone and no message from your in-laws. 

They should be here by now. 

And so should Jin.

“Baby,” you say to your youngest. “I’m going to call your dad okay, just stay here.” He doesn’t respond but instead stares at the animated animals on the screen.

You walk out of your room, closing the door behind you, and before you can call Jin, he calls you first.

“Hello?” You say. 

“Hi noona,” you hear back. It’s Yeonjun, obviously not Jin. “I know it’s you and Jin hyung’s anniversary trip and he got caught up with a few meetings but he’s on his way now! Umm.. he forgot his phone though, he was in a rush since he knew he was late so I just wanted to let you know that he’ll be home soon and that I also will be stopping by to drop off his phone.” 

“Okay, thank you,” you say, “did he say anything about his parents?”

“His parents? No. Just that they should be home now,” Yeonjun responds. You could hear him going in his car. 

“Okay, well drive safe okay? No need to rush, we’ll see you when you get here,” you say. Just when Yeonjun ended the call, you heard the front door open. 

“Mom?” You call out, thinking it was your in-laws. They do have their own keys as they babysit the kids every now and then.

You walk to the front door to see your husband looking at you with a confused expression.

“No?” He responds.

“Mom and Dad haven’t come yet. Did they call you that they’ll be late?” Jin tilts his head to the side, feeling his pockets for his phone.

“O-”

“Yeonjun’s coming by to drop off your phone, he said you left it as you were rushing out,” you say, walking towards him to take his bag. “So they didn’t call?”

Jin shakes his head.

“No, I hope nothing bad happened though,” he says, running his fingers through his hair. He lets out a stressed sigh. 

“I’m sure noth–” Before you can finish your sentence, a high pitch scream comes from your room, startling the two of you.

“Is that Haneul?” Jin asks, running towards your shared room. 

He opens the door to find Haneul crying on the bed.

“What’s wrong?” Jin asks him, walking over to pick him up from the bed. “Why are you crying?” 

Haneul doesn’t respond but instead keeps crying. He points at you when you walk in.

“What happened?” You ask, reaching out for him. Haneul turns and hugs his dad’s neck tighter, crying into his shoulder.

“Is it because I left him in here for a few minutes, I–,” you say, trying to figure out why he’s crying. “He was just watching the movie.” You turn to the TV and see that the movie finished. 

He probably felt like you left him when you closed the door on your way out and didn’t come back right away. 

You walk up to him and rub his back, telling him you were sorry. 

Your phone then dings. “Yeonjun’s here,” you say. “Give him to me.” You reach out for Haneul again but he clings on tighter to his dad instead.

“He doesn’t want you,” Jin laughs. It was like the first time Haneul chose him over you. “I’ll take him with me,” he says, walking out to the front door with Haneul. You huff, crossing your arms over your chest. 

“Hyung,” Yeonjun says when Jin opens the door. “Your phone.” He hands the phone to your husband and Jin unlocks it to check if he got any messages from his parents.

“Your dad called, so I answered since I thought he was at your house and I wanted to let him know that you’re on your way but he called saying they’re going to be late. Their friend’s son wasn’t able to fix the car in time and so they’ll be on their way in about half an hour and so maybe depending on traffic, they’ll be here in about two hours.”

“Oh,” you say, walking in right behind Jin. 

“I know you have to be in your plane soon, so I’ll take care of everything,” Yeonjun says, reaching out for Haneul. “Go get ready, I’ll watch Haneul and I’ll pick up the kids.” 

“Okay one,” Jin says, holding Haneul tighter. “This is the first time Haneul is loving me like this, I’ll hold on to him a little longer. Two, if I struggle with my three kids alone, I’m not so sure you’ll be able to handle all three of them alone. And Three, Soojin would enjoy that too much and I wouldn’t.”

“Thank you Yeonjun, but Jin’s right. Our kids are a handful for one person, we wouldn’t want to trouble you with that,” you say, putting a hand on the kid’s shoulder. “Go ahead and go home, we’ll take care of this, don’t worry.”

“Jin,” you called. Haneul and you had made amends now and he was currently on the couch watching cartoons while Jin made food for the kids.

“Hm?”

“Everything’s packed and ready to go, we just need to pick up the kids, coming with?” You ask.

“Yeah, let me just finish this,” he says, putting the kimbaps in a bento box. “Haneul, go to mommy.” Haneul looks at his dad and turns back to the TV. 

“Haneul~” Jin calls again. He doesn’t budge.

“Haneul-ah.” One more time, Haneul yawns and that was the only reaction Daddy Jin got. 

“Haneul,” you call now. “Let’s go, we have to get your brother and sister. We don’t have all day.” 

“I want to stay here,” he responds, fumbling with the remote. You sigh.

“Well you can’t stay home by yourself– unless daddy stays?” You say, turning to Jin. Jin shakes his head.

“No, we’re all going. Come on,” Jin says, walking to the two of you. “Here,” he says, handing you the lunch pail he packed. “Come on,” he reaches down and picks up Haneul who was starting to cry again.

What is it with him today?

“I thought grandma was picking us up,” Soojin asks as she got into the car.

“Yeah, with grandpa,” Minseok follows. “Aren’t you two supposed to be on the plane right now?”

“They were getting their car fixed, they’ll be here soon so hurry up,” you say, as the kids rush in, getting their seatbelts on. “Eat this, daddy made them.”

“Did you reschedule the tickets by the way?” Jin asks. You turn to him surprised. 

“No. I thought you said you’d do it?” 

“No, I was making the kids’ food.”

“Well I was packing our things and putting them in the car.”

Jin sighs, raising his hand up to his head. You shake your head.

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll do it on my phone right now just focus on driving home safely,” you say.

“Can I come with you,” Haneul yells from the back.

“No, this is mommy and daddy’s trip,” you say. “This is the only time in the year where mommy and daddy get a few days of alone time.”

“But we want to come,” Soojin says, pouting along with her brother. 

“You can come another day,” Jin says. “Grandma and grandpa want to spend time with you three this weekend so you have to stay home.”

“But I want mommy and daddy,” Haneul whines, crying in the back seat. You can hear Minseok shushing him.

“It’s okay, they’ll be back,” he tells his younger brother. You felt reassured with your oldest as he’s the one who knows how to calm the youngest one. 

“Nooo,” Haneul cries. “I want to come with them.” He’s already choking on his sobs at this point. 

The rest of the drive home, everyone was silent.

Well.. you four were silenced by Haneul’s tantrum.

“Mom are you almost here?” Jin asks. He was on his phone with his mom and you two were getting impatient. Well.. more of stressing over the fact your plane was leaving soon and there would be traffic on the way there.

“Almost,” Jin’s mom says. “There was some traffic, but we’ll be there soon. Give us like five minutes.” 

“Okay, tell dad to drive safe.”

“Will do. See you soon sweetie.”

“Soojin!” You call. “Grandma and grandpa are almost here! Please come to the living room.”

“Okay so we’ll make it on time for our plane since we switched to another flight but we need to leave right when mom and dad get here,” you tell Jin. 

“Okay,” he nods. “Everything’s in the car right? You didn’t forget anything?” You nod your head.

“Vitamins, everything?” Jin says, sitting on the couch with his kids.

“Uhh,” you say, running to your room. 

You get to your room, and run to the medicine cabinet in your bathroom. 

“Uhh..vitamins,” you say to yourself, grabbing the vitamins. “What else? Oh yeah!– Shoot, I ran out.” You shake your head. “We’ll just get more later.”

“Yn! Mom and Dad are here!” You hear Jin yell. You can hear the kids screaming with joy and their grandparents doing the same. 

“I’m coming!” You say, throwing everything into your carry on before running to the living room.

“Mom, dad,” you say, hugging the two of them. 

“We are so sorry we’re late,” Jin’s mom says as you hug him.

“No worries, I’m just glad you two got home safely,” you tell her. 

“We have a few minutes and we have to go,” Jin says. 

“Okay, umm, you two know everything already so is there anything else we should mention?” You laugh, turning to your inlaws, then your husband.

“Umm, Minseok usually needs help with homework. He has trouble with multiplication. For Soojin, nothing much but sass but she shouldn’t be giving any of that to you two,” Jin laughs. “And as for Haneul. Just prepare for tantrums, often. And he’s going to want to go to his Auntie Sohu’s bakery but he needs to get away from that for now.” You were impressed. Considering you spend more time with the kids, Jin knew more of what to say.

I guess with plans not going the way it was supposed to, you were getting a bit forgetful.

Let’s just hope you didn’t or don’t forget anything else.

~Kim Namjoon Residence~

“Jin hyung wants us to go to his office later at 4,” Namjoon says, talking to Byul over the phone. “He and Yn got into an argument.”

“An ARGUMENT??” Byul yells. Someone hushed her, she was just leaving the library. “Sorry.” Namjoon laughs.

“Yeah, an argument over what gender the baby is,” he explains. “So he wants us to surprise Yn at his office, wearing the colors you think the baby is.”

“Oh how fun!” Byul exclaims, walking to her car. “It’s like a baby gender reveal party… but without the reveal part.”

“Yeah I guess so,” Namjoon laughs. “Hyung said that they’ll announce the new baby to the kids too. All of our kids actually, so I have to ask Moonji what she thinks the new baby will be without telling her about the new baby.”

“Just ask her if she wants a brother or a sister,” Byul shrugs. “Easy peasy.”

~24/7 Heaven~

“So what color are you going to wear?” Sohyun asks Yoongi. The two of them were in the back kitchen with Hana at the bakery. 

“Color for what?” Hana asks. 

“For the party we’re going to later,” Yoongi tells her. “What color are you wearing?”

“Is it a rainbow party,” Hana asks, looking over the cake Sohyun was decorating. She reaches out to touch the icing.

“Uhuh,” Sohyun says, lightly slapping her hand away. 

“I’m wearing yellow,” Yoongi says. Sohyun furrows her brows at him.

“Oh then I’m wearing pink!” Hana yells. 

“Team yellow is not a team,” Sohyun says.

“Why not?” Hana asks. “I’m team pink then!”

“I’m team pink too,” Sohyun says with a smile on her face. 

“I’m team no team I guess,” Yoongi shrugs, taking a cake from one of the fridges. “Is this the one we’re bringing?”

Sohyun looks back up at him and nods.

“It’s a little silly that we’re doing all this and we won’t even know for a few months,” Yoongi says, taking the cake to a table and packing it into a box.

“I think it’s fun,” Sohyun says. “Any excuse for a party and cake.”

“That’s true, I do enjoy these celebrations. I went shopping, by the way, before I came here.”

“For what?” Hana asks.

“A gift. For the party.”

~Hoseok and Sarang’s Room~

“I think it’s a girl,” Sarang says, picking out a pink outfit. 

“I want it to be a girl,” Hoseok says with a laugh. “Imagine two Soojins? How cute would that be?”

“Super cute,” Sarang laughs. “So should we just pick a pink outfit for Hope? How are we going to ask her what she thinks that baby will be without telling her about the baby?”

Hoseok shrugs. 

“Just ask her team pink or team blue and dress her up accordingly,” Hoseok says. And as if on cue, the door to their bedroom opens. 

“I’m bored– hey,” Huimang says. “Where are you two going?” She asks, seeing as her parents were getting dressed.

“Uncle Jin is throwing a mini surprise party for auntie Yn,” Hoseok explains. “And we have to be in two teams, pink or blue. Which team are you going to be?”

“You both are wearing pink,” Huimang points out. “So pink?”

~Park Residence~

“Purple??” Yuna says, making a face at Jimin. “It’s two colors Jimin, pick one of them.”

“But what if it’s both?” Jimin argues, laughing at the face his wife was making. “We don’t know if it’s twins.” 

“It’s not twins.”

“Who told you that,” Jimin says, squinting at her. 

“No one,” she says, “but I doubt it is.”

“Let’s make a bet–”

“Do what you want Park, but me and Gyu are wearing pink~” She says, walking away to go get Mingyu. 

“Oh come on! If I win, you owe me!”

~Taehyung’s Living Room~

“It’s definitely a boy,” Taehyung tells Bora. She shakes her head. The two of them were watching a show while Youngjae was in Taehyung’s room, taking a nap.

“Girl,” she says.

“I’ve known them for longer, I can tell if it’s a boy or girl,” Taehyung argues. 

“How?”

“The vibes noona is giving me is definitely she’s having a boy vibes,” he says with a little shrug. Bora scoffs at him.

“That doesn’t even make any sense.”

“Okay, well why do you think it’s a girl?”

“I don’t know, I was just thinking, if I were to have another baby, I would want a girl.” Bora explains, shrugging. “Simple.”  Taehyung smirks at her, wiggling his brows.

“You wanna have one with me?” 

Bora playfully rolls her eyes. “No.”

Taehyung pouts at her, turning around with his arms crossed, making her laugh.

“I mean, I would wanna have at least two with you,” she says. Taehyung turns around with a big smile on his face. 

“But right now, I think having you as a big baby is enough.”

~Sian’s Room~

“Sian, you wanna match with daddy?” Jungkook asks, holding up a blue sweatshirt. Sian was on the floor, playing with his iron man. 

“Yes!” He excitedly yells. “Where are we going?” 

“Uncle Jin’s work,” Jungkook says, kneeling down to put the sweatshirt on him. 

“Hey,” Rina says, walking into the room. “Team blue then?”

Jungkook nods, smiling up at her. He looks down at his son and covers his ears with his hands.

“What are you doing~” Sian says, frowning up at his dad, trying to pry his hands away from his ears. 

“Wouldn’t it be funny if hyung gets another son that’s twice as rowdy as Haneul?” 

“Is that why you’re going with blue? Because Jin’s team pink?”

“Duh.”

~Kim’s Residence~ “I have to go to the office,” Jin says, walking past you. You were sitting with Haneul at the kitchen counter. “You four should come with me.”

You nod. “Okay, what time?”

“We have to be there by four so let’s start getting ready so we can be there on time,” he says, already walking to the kids’ room. “I’ll get the kids ready.”

You and Haneul look towards the hallway, scrunching your brows. 

“We can get ready ourselves right?” you ask Haneul, he nods. You smile down at him, picking him up as you two walk to his room.

“Blue or pink?” Jin asks Minseok and Soojin. They both frown up at him. 

“B-blue..?” Minseok says in a questioning tone. 

“I want purple,” Soojin says, pointing to her purple dress that was behind Jin. He was standing in front of her closet.

Jin shakes his head. “Nope, blue or pink.”

“Purple.”

“Blue or pink.”

“Purple.”

“Soojin–”

“Why just those colors?!” she exclaims.

“Okay, let’s go,” Jin says, walking to the garage, after battling Soojin with what color she wanted to wear. Out of the two color option. She came out wearing the pink version of what Minseok was wearing.

“Daddy!” Haneul yells, running towards Jin and grabbing his hand. Jin looks down at him and his eyes widens.

“You’re wearing yellow.”

You walk up to him and nod. “Yeah, and you’re wearing pink… a lot.. of pink.”

“What exactly do you need to do?” You ask as you five stood in the elevator, going up to Jin’s office. 

“I just need to sign some paperwork,” he replies. He was carrying Soojin in his arms as she was a little sleepy on the way here. 

The doors opened and revealed Yeonjun on the other side. 

“You’re here!” he says excitedly. “Everything is ready in your office.” He tells Jin, giving him a quick wink. You didn’t know this obviously, but Jin had Yeonjun decorate the office and let your friends in. They were all in there right now!

“Say hi uncle,” you say, waving Haneul’s little hand at Yeonjun. You had him in your arms. 

“Hi Haneul, I haven’t seen you in a while,” Yeonjun says, reaching out to pet his head. 

Minseok runs to Jin’s office, about to open the door when Jin yells. 

“Y-yah!” he yells, running to his oldest. 

“What?” Minseok says. “I was just going to go in.”

“Yeah but we need to go in all together.” Jin says. “Babe,” he calls you over.

“We’re coming jeez,” you say, walking quickly towards him. Yeonjun is laughing behind you five as he follows along. 

“Go in, you first,” Jin says. 

“You’re being so weird,” you say, grabbing hold of the handle and walking in.

“SURPRISE!” 

You stumbled back a bit, surprised. Of course. Making everyone laugh.

Everyone was wearing pink and blue… well

You look at Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin. They were dressed in yellow and purple. You don’t think they got the memo. 

“Wh-at. What is this?” You say, confused, turning to Jin. 

“Gender not reveal party!” Jin says, raising the arm that wasn’t holding onto Soojin. “Clearly, team girl is winning,” he says, pointing at everyone wearing pink.

“Why are we having teams anyways?” Huimang asks. 

“Because,” Jin says. He leans into your ear and whispers. “Let’s announce it to them at the same time.” You nod.

“We’re–

 having a baby!” 

pregnant!” 

You laugh, slapping his arm. “We didn’t even say the same thing.”

“Wait, you’re having a baby?” Minseok asks with wide eyes. 

“Is this my birthday present?” Soojin asks with a smile, leaning over to hug Jin’s neck. Her birthday was in a few weeks.

“We’re going to have another baby??” Minseok asks excitedly, looking up at you. You lean down, hugging him. 

“We are, are you happy about that?”

“Yeah!” he says. 

“Gyu you’re going to be a hyung,” Jungkook says, poking Mingyu’s cheek. Jimin was carrying him.

“Or an oppa,” Yuna says. 

“Or both,” Jimin says. Jin furrows his brows at him.

“Another baby!” Moonji says, running over to you.

“Auntie Yn’s having a baby?” Hana says, running towards you too. Huimang follows her. 

“She is,” Jin says. “Look, they’re all team pink.”

“I’m team blue,” Sian says, showing his sweatshirt.

“My mom made me team pink,” Youngjae says, making Bora laugh.

“Hey, to be fair, I asked you if you wanted a sister or a brother. You said sister.”

Your eyes were tearing as your nieces and nephews were congratulating you, touching your belly, and giving you sweet hugs. 

“Look at Haneul,” Taehyung points. They all laughed as Haneul was looking around with a blank expression. 

“Haneul-ah,” Yoongi calls. “You’re going to be a big brother, how do you feel?” Haneul scratches his head. 

“He’s tired,” you say, laughing. “It’ll hit him later.”

“Well why don’t we wake him up with some…” Rina says, walking towards you with the cake. “Your favorite~ Auntie Sohu made it and Uncle Yoongi brought it.”

Suddenly, Haneul lifts up his head and smiles. Making everyone laugh.

“Cake is what makes him happiest,” Namjoon says, smiling over at him.

“I honestly didn’t think everyone would have such strong opinions on what the baby will be,” Yoongi says. “I wore yellow because I didn’t know.”

“I wore yellow because I didn’t mind if the baby was a boy or a girl, as long as it’s healthy,” Namjoon says. Byul pouts, leaning into his shoulder as she had her arms wrapped around his arm. 

“I’m wearing yellow,” Haneul says, pulling at his hoodie. 

“Yahh~ Team no team,” Yoongi says, giving him a high five. Haneul smiles, slapping his hand onto his uncle’s. 

“Are you ready to be a big brother Haneul?” Hoseok asks. Haneul nods, running towards him. “Aigoo, I can’t wait to see him with his baby sibling. He was still young when Mingyu was born.”

“Right,” Jimin says, “I can’t wait to see Mingyu with them.”

“Jimin, for the last time, it’s not twins.” Jin tells him. Jimin eyes widens and he points at his hyung.

“Hyung. If another one comes out by surprise, watch,” Jimin says, “You’ll be like ahh.. Jimin was right all along.”

“He’s stupid,” Taehyung says, “don’t listen to him. There’s only one and it’s a boy.”

“Agreed,” you say, “I have a feeling it’s a boy.”

“YES!” Jungkook says, turning to Taehyung and giving him a high five. “Team blue for the win.”

“Okay but all in all, I don’t mind what the baby is either, let’s get that clear,” you say.

“I know, I just want Jin hyung to be wrong,” Jungkook says, with that smile of his that drives Jin crazy.

Your friends had just left and you, jin, the kids, and Yeonjun were the only ones left. The six of you shared the cake together.

“This was fun,” you say. “I can’t believe you told our friends about our silly argument and made them choose a side.”

“I thought it would be fun, and that it would be a good way to tell the kids we were having another baby since we were sad we couldn’t announce it to all of them in a fun way like we usually do.” Jin feeds Haneul a bite of the cake. “I knew they would all join in, but I was more surprised that Yoongi and Namjoon still wanted to dress up even though they didn’t know which side to join. I wonder if they color coordinated with the yellow.”

“Team no team right?” Yeonjun laughs. He was wearing a pink tie with his suit. 

“I’m not even wearing a color so I guess I’m team no team too,” you laugh, pointing to your white jacket. Jin shakes his head.

“Yeonjun,” he says, reaching out. Yeonjun stands up and goes over to Jin’s desk and takes out a pink sweatshirt Jin prepared.

“Here, so you can join a team,” Jin says, taking the sweatshirt from Yeonjun. He hands it to you, making you laugh.

“But I’m team blue,” you say. Jin closed his eyes, hiding his lips and shaking his head side to side. 

“We already have two boys, we had a boy, then a girl, then a boy again. It only makes sense that this is a girl,” Jin argues. You and Yeonjun laugh at him.

“Like that’s how it works,” you say. “But fine,” you tell him, taking the sweatshirt from his hand. “Only because you did all of this and I had so much fun. I’ll join the pink team.”

“It’s okay hyung, everything’s going to be okay. Don’t worry about anything.” 

Taehyung’s words ran through Jin’s mind over and over as he sat in Soojin’s room, helping her with her math.

“Three,” Soojin says, answering the seventh problem on her paper. Jin shakes his head.

“No, why would it be three? Try again. Hyunmin has TWO apples but Sewan gives him TWO more. How many apples does Hyunmin have now?” Jin says, repeating the problem again.

“Uncle Yoongi says if you don’t know the answer, it’s always three!” Soojin argues, causing Jin to roll his eyes. 

“Don’t listen to him, he doesn’t like school. Hold on, let me grab some actual apples from the kitchen so we could do this visually.” Jin gets up from the floor, walking out of the room. He looks at you two’s shared room as he enters the hallway, seeing that the door is now open.

“Minseok, hand me my phone please,” you say. You were currently sitting at your desk, typing away on your laptop. You had a new client and a bedroom to design. The aesthetic she’s asking for is called Grand Millennial. It’s beautiful. She wants blues and pinks, and gold of course. She just sent you a pinterest board of furniture she likes and photos as to how she wants the room to look like. You typically do this with all of your clients, encouraging them to make pinterest boards on what they want to have in their homes. It makes it easier for you to know what they want and in the end they’re always happy with the outcome. 

You’re seeing a lot of paintings here that she pinned and you had the idea to recommend Taehyung to her. A customized piece would complete the whole look of her dream bedroom. She’d get both the look she wants and also a personalized piece. 

Now she wasn’t the only client. You have another one you’re working with but this one gives you a headache. 

This one doesn’t know what she wants, yet when you give her options she doesn’t like any of them. So right now you’re trying to get to know her so maybe you can help suggest some things that go along with her interests. 

But she takes about 2-3 business days just to reply to your messages. Also mentioned she’s not a phone call person so calling her doesn’t help when it goes straight to voicemail. 

You sigh, rubbing your temples.

“Minseok, did you hear me?” You ask, turning around. Minseok was in your room, sitting on your bed as he read. He said Haneul kept bugging him and wanted to be with you for some peace and quiet. This was before you put Haneul down for a nap.

Now you’re looking at an empty bed. No traces of your son but the book next to your phone on your side table. 

“Nevermind,” you mumble, getting up instead. He probably went to the kitchen or something to grab a snack. 

Once got up you suddenly felt dizzy. “Ah.” You have been working for a few hours straight, and didn’t eat lunch.

“O- ow,” you say, wincing as your head starts to pound. You close your eyes, holding onto your head with one hand and grabbing on to your bed with the other for support. Your legs were starting to shake and you tried to sit back down on your chair but missed.

THUD.

“Woah what was that,” Minseok says, turning to the hallway. Jin was looking as well when they heard a loud sound coming from one of the rooms. They were both standing around the kitchen counter. He was grabbing the apples for Soojin and Minseok was trying to get a tangerine from the same fruit basket.

“Haneul?” Jin calls, “Are you okay?” Haneul was down for a nap, but Jin thought he might’ve woken up or something, maybe even fell.

“I’m going to go back to mommy’s room,” Minseok says, running off.

“Okay, I’ll check on your brother.”

The two quickly walked to the hallway. Minseok went ahead of Jin while Jin entered Haneul’s room. 

“Haneul?” He says, walking into his room. Haneul was still asleep on his bed. “Huh.”

“DADDY!” Minseok yelled. Jin’s eyes widened as he heard the panic in his son’s voice.

He immediately runs to your room, his heart beating faster and faster. 

“Mommy’s not waking up,” Minseok says, kneeling next to you on the floor, shaking your arm. 

“What happened?” Soojin says, standing from the doorway.

“Minseok go get your brother, and Soojin go grab your jackets and put on your shoes,” Jin says in panic, hooking his arm behind your back and under your knees. He quickly picks you up, heading to the garage.

“Haneul, wake up!” Minseok says, shaking his brother, he runs around his room, grabbing a coat and his slip ons. Haneul blinks his eyes open slowly, turning to the side and watching his brother run up to him.

“Put this on,” Minseok says, pulling Haneul upwards. He hurriedly puts the coat on his brother and shoves his feet into his shoes. 

“Oppa hurry,” Soojin says, running to Minseok. She was already dressed, shoes on and a hoodie. “Here,” she says, giving him his own shoes and his own hoodie. 

Minseok hurriedly throws on the clothes and Soojin pulls Haneul off of the bed. 

“Let’s go!” She says, running to the garage while she dragged Haneul behind her.

“Come on, hurry,” Jin says. Running towards the kids and grabbing Haneul. Minseok runs in front of him and jumps into the van. You were sitting unconscious in the seat Soojin’s car seat usually is. 

“Soojin you’re going to sit in the back with Minseok okay,” Jin says, securing Haneul into his carseat. Which was next to the seat you were sitting in.

“Mommy,” Haneul says in a raspy voice. Poor baby, he just woke up and has no idea what was going on.

“Yeah, mommy is not feeling well so we’re going to take her to the hospital okay?” Jin calmly tells Haneul. “Are you two buckled up?” He asks his two oldest, moving his head to the side. They both give him two thumbs up. “Okay good. Minseok, here’s my phone,” he says, handing his cellphone to his oldest. “Call uncle Jungkook and let him know that we’re going to the hospital because mommy fainted. Tell him to let the others know and if any of them could come and help.”

“Okay,” he says, taking the phone from his dad. Jin quickly hops out and closes the back door and hops onto the driver’s seat.

“Is mommy going to be okay?”

You spent the previous night at your parent’s house while your dad stayed at the hospital with your mom. They wanted to make sure that everything was okay before they let her go. Your dad let you know that there’s food in the fridge and to eat when you get home. 

You weren’t hungry so you decided to get some shut eye… until midnight when you were suddenly hungry and ate every leftovers your parents had. 

Long story short, you came back to the hospital the following morning and you’re now in your mom’s hospital room, throwing up in the toilet. 

“Are you okay hon?” Your dad asks, peeking his head into the bathroom. 

“Ugh I think I ate too much last night,” you say, getting up from the bathroom floor.

“Are you sure that’s all? Nothing else?” Your dad asks you as you go over to the sink to rinse your mouth and wash your hands. “Do you want to get checked? We are in a hospital already,” he laughs.

“No, I think I’m fine. I’m just going to go lay down, I kind of feel light headed.”

“Okay sweetie, if you still aren’t feeling well by the time mom’s discharged, we’re going to get you checked next. Can’t be too safe. You probably caught something,” your dad says, walking to your mom’s side.

“What’s wrong?” Your mom asks you when you walk out of the bathroom. You shake your head, you didn’t want her to worry, she’s been through enough. 

“Nothing, I just ate too much last night right before I went to sleep,” you answer, sitting down on the chair by her. 

“Okay… I see.”

“Are you going to forget us again,” Soojin says as the four of them drive up to the school drop off. Jin scoffs.

“Yah, it was an accident,” Jin says, running a hand through his hair. “I’ll be working at our building today. So I won’t fall asleep and I will be able to pick you up on time.”

Soojin pouts, “I like it when Uncle Yeonjun takes us home..”

“And that’s why it isn’t happening anymore,” Jin says with wide eyes, turning his head back to look at her. “Daddy will be the one to pick you up until college. Okay?” 

“Fine,” Soojin says with a small eye roll, her older brother laughs at her.

“Okay, I love you both, be good,” Jin says, unlocking the doors and waving his hand at the kids.

“Can you at least bring uncle Yeo–” 

“Leeeeeeaaavee,” Jin says, pointing out the door, interrupting Soojin. His daughter huffs, crossing her arms over her chest as she gets down from the car. 

“Bye dad, we love you,” Minseok says, speaking for both him and his sister. “Bye Han-Han,” he says, tickling Haneul’s chin, making him laugh.

“Okay Haneul, you’re going to work with me today,” Jin says, driving off as soon as his two oldest gets to their friends.

“No auntie Sohu and auntie Rin today?” Haneul asks, already pouting. Jin glances at him from the rearview mirror.

“Nope, not today. Maybe tomorrow okay? Daddy has a lot to do,” Jin tells him. “You’ll see uncle Kookie later though.”

“Uncle JaaayKaaay~” Haneul says it the same way that Jungkook does it, nose scrunch and everything. 

“Yeah uncle JaaayKaaay,” Jin repeats.

“Okay, the first meeting is in ten minutes,” Yeonjun says, walking right alongside Jin. The two power walked to the nearest elevator. Haneul was running right behind them since his little legs couldn’t keep up.

“Daddyy,” Haneul whines, starting to cry. The two older men stop mid step, looking down at Haneul. Who is now kneeling down onto the floor and crying. Throwing a tantrum in the middle of the room. 

Haneul begins to start screaming, heads are turning towards them three now. 

“Aigoo,” Jin sighs, bending down to pick up his son. “What’s wrong?” If you were there, you would know it was because they weren’t giving him attention. I mean, I’d hate it if my two friends were walking ahead of me and leaving me behind, forgetting about me!

“You’re okay~” Jin says, bouncing Haneul in front of him. Hanuel screams in response, bending backwards. Jin smiles sheepishly and bows at the people who walk by, staring. “Shh shh,” he hushed. “He’s being so dramatic,” Jin says to Yeonjun.

“Umm sir, he is your son after all…” He replies.

“Are you feeling better?” Your dad asks you as you three get to their car. Your mom was finally getting discharged, so the three of you were leaving the hospital now. 

“I think so,” you say, hopping in the back seat. “My stomach still hurts a bit though..” you say, rubbing your belly. “I shouldn’t have eaten so much, so late last night..” 

“Maybe it’s your period honey,” your mom says, looking back at you from the passenger’s seat. 

“You’re right,” you say, coming to the realization that you haven’t had your period yet. You take out your phone to check when the last time you had your period. You had an app for it, especially since you take birth control as well, you keep well track of your period. Although now that you think of it… you should’ve had it already this month. 

“Dad, before we go home, can we stop by the store? I just need to grab something really quick.”

“Okay, moving on. As some of you know, I had a meeting yesterday with Mr. Lee,” Jin says, sitting in the boardroom and having a meeting with his fellow employees. “We’re good to go with our new building in Busan.” Everyone starts to clap and Haneul looks around the room confused, slowly starting to clap along. He was currently sitting on Yeonjun’s lap. 

“With that said, a few of you will be going to Busan to scope out the new area where our building will be,” Jin says, scanning over the employees sitting around the table. 

Haneul squirms out of Yeonjun’s hold, running to his dad.

“Are any of you interested in going?” Jin asks. “Or I can pick– Haneul, later,” Jin says, whispering that last part as Haneul tries to climb onto his lap. Jin looks over to Yeonjun and gives him the look saying ‘get him please.’ Yeonjun immediately gets up and runs towards Jin, bending down to pick up Haneul.

“No!” Haneul yells, turning around to give Yeonjun a dirty look. Haneul turns back towards Jin and tries to climb onto his lap. “I only want daddy,” he says.

“I’m sorry everyone, he’s been a little clingy lately,” Jin says with a slight laugh, picking Haneul up and placing him on his lap. “Let’s continue, does anyone want to go?”

A few people raise their hand up, Yeonjun writes their name down. 

“Perfect,” Jin says. “This will be next week, your transportation and hotel will all be paid for.” Haneul turns around and wraps his arms around Jin’s neck, standing on his lap.

“Haneul, can you sit down please,” Jin says, tapping his little butt. “Come on, daddy is working.” 

“Noo,” Haneul whines, hugging Jin’s neck even tighter and leaning on him. Jin sighs. 

“Okay, I think it’s time for a nap,” he says, looking over at Yeonjun. “I’m sorry everyone, we’re going to have to cut this meeting a bit short. I’ll follow up with you who volunteered to go to Busan later. By tonight you will get a message from me. For everyone else, thank you for your time, I’ll see you all later.”

Everyone says their thank you’s and gets up to leave the room. Jin sighs, rubbing Haneul’s back as he stands up from his chair.

“Go ahead and get some food to eat Yeonjun or whatever else you want to do, I’ll be up in my office. I’ll put Haneul down for a nap,” Jin says, bouncing side to side to help Haneul fall asleep.

“Okay, thank you sir. Would you like me to get anything for you two?” Yeonjun asks. Jin shakes his head.

“No, we’re good for now, thank you.” With that, Yeonjun walks out and Jin stays a while in the boardroom to try and soothe Haneul. 

“Haneul-ah~,” Jin says calmly. “We’re going to be here all day, please be good for daddy..”

You sat on the toilet (with the lid closed) waiting for the results. 

Can this really be happening?

You just got back from the store and are now in your parent’s house. You told your parent’s that you were just going to get medicine, which you did, but you really went for one other thing. 

*Dit. Dit. Dit.*

The three minutes were up and you were nervous to check.

What if…

“He’s sleeping so peacefully,” Jin says, standing over Haneul (who was asleep on the couch he had in his office). 

“I can go pick up the kids again hyung,” Yeonjun says. He was standing next to Jin.

“No, I promised the kids I’ll be the one to pick them up today. Can you just watch him while I’m gone? I won’t take long and he should still be asleep by the time I come back,” Jin says, scratching his head. Yeonjun nods.

“Yeah, no problem hyung. I’ll watch him.”

“Okay, thank you. I’ll be back in like fifteen, twenty minutes.”

“Hey you remembered us,” Minseok jokes as he gets into the car. 

“Of course I did,” Jin says.

“Where’s Haneul?” Soojin asks, looking at the empty car seat. “You forgot him! Mommy is going to be soo mad at you!” Jin laughs, looking back at them.

“I didn’t forget him, he’s sleeping in my office. He’s with uncle Yeonjun,” Jin tells her. Soojin’s eyes immediately light up at the sound of his name, making Jin roll his eyes. “Anyways, when we get there, we’re going to wake up Haneul and go eat something in the cafeteria. Then we have a shoot to go to, so we’ll be going to our other building.”

“Why do we have two buildings anyways,” Soojin asks, looking out of the window as Jin drives away from their school.

“One is our main location, that’s where my office is at and where all the office work takes place. Our other building is where all the studios are at for our clients to take photo or video shoots,” Jin explains.

“Can I have one of them when we’re bigger,” Soojin asks, kicking her feet against the back of the passenger’s seat.

“Sure princess. One for you, one for Minseok, and one for Haneul.”

“But that’s three, you only have two buildings,” Minseok says. “But I can share with Soojin or Haneul, I don’t mind.” Jin smiles as he hears what Minseok says, but by the look on his daughter’s face, Jin can see Soojin quirking up an eyebrow at her brother from the rear view mirror. 

“Don’t worry, you two don’t need to share. We’re opening up another location soon, Haneul can have that one,” Jin tells them.

“Good, because I want my own building,” Soojin says, crossing her hands over her chest. Jin laughs. They really are polar opposites.

The three walk into Jin’s office and Soojin immediately runs to Yeonjun, who is now carrying Haneul. 

“Is everything okay?” Jin asks as he hears his son crying, he walks over to his secretary, taking Haneul from him. 

“He woke up and started crying when he noticed that you were gone, I tried my best to calm him down.”

“Aigoo, Haneul-ah, why are you being so clingy to daddy lately huh?” Jin says, pressing kisses to his cheek. Haneul lays his head onto Jin’s shoulder and calms down. 

“I think you’re just going to have to carry him all day,” Yeonjun says. 

“I think so too. I would use a baby carrier on him, but I think he’s too big for that now..”

“Haneul misses mommy that’s why,” Minseok says, rubbing his little brother’s back. 

“Should we facetime mommy then?” Jin asks.

“Yes I miss mommy too!!” Soojin says, bouncing up and down. 

“Okay okay, we’ll call mommy first and then we’ll go eat,” Jin says, pulling his phone out of his pocket. 

It’s ringing and ringing

And ringing and ringing 

And ringing 

Still ringing

And no answer.
