i started using thinner, more delicate lineart and more muted colors around the end of chapter 3. i want pious to feel like exploring a haunted gothic house in a lacy nightgown with a candle. quiet. a little spooky. romantic. i still love how some of these pages look
chapter 3 is also when i started freehanding the panel borders. it takes longer and looks "worse" but i honestly think its adds so much. one of the most important things ive learned about digital art is that u should take the time to make things look shitty on purpose i think its sooo easy to fall into the trap of thinking that making your art neater and more detailed = improvement but more often than not i think it just makes things look stiffer and less interesting
gettin’ rough!

Chapter Playlist Read updates a month early on Patreon! Pious also has its own website where you can read it uncensored!
I tried using a lot of solid blacks for the night scene in chapter 4 but I don't love how it looked. I think I executed it a lot better in chapter 5. But I do still like the washed out red and green color palette I used
Obedient puppy Read Pious: 🌞 https://piouscomic.com/comic/chapter-6-page-32/ I'm currently working on the thumbnails for chapter 7! The more support I get, the more time I'll have to work on that and the sooner I'll be able to bring you new pages 🙏 ⭐️ https://subscribestar.adult/hulder
In order to keep up with regular updates, I have to spend 2 or 3 days a week working on Pious. As things are now, I may not be able to afford to take that much time away from commissions.
Your support on Subscribestar would help immensely!

Silence Grey is a healer. He drifts from place to place offering his services and asking for very little in return. But he isn’t exactly as he seems. When nobody’s looking, he keeps the company of strange creatures and prays to a mysterious, hedonistic god. Proceed with caution, reader. Here there be monsters.
