Damian: Death row guy. I want the case.
Tim: How do you even know about him? You don't have access to the Batcomputer's mainframe.
Damian: No, but "partypants" does.
Tim: You stole my password?
Damian: Tt, hardly counts as stealing. It's a pretty obvious choice.
no because the absolute stunning beauty of charles’ racecraft isn’t his aggressiveness or natural speed, it’s his intelligence and incredible ability to read a situation. he let max pass him in turn one those two times because he knew exactly where he needed to place the cars to use his drs to re pass as efficiently as possible. he predicted what max’s moves would be and what he would try to do and instead of just shoving him off he controlled the situation and gave him an inch - no more, no less, just enough. he wasn’t going to yield but he didn’t have to because he knew that even max had his limits and by battling in the way he did he didn’t give max any opportunity to put him in a situation where he might have needed to. he could be exactly on the line but never, ever crossing it, aggressive without being dangerous and also incredibly clean without looking like an easy target. that was all achieved in the first race of a new generation of cars and against the reining world champion after being unable to fight at the front for two years. to lead a race after so long and keep calm and consistent is one thing, but to have such an analytical, tactical mindset as well? absolutely astounding. charles has come back to the front of the pack as twice the driver he was in 2019 and even then he was fantastic. they should be scared.
Hermione Granger,
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, directed by David Yates and written by Steve Kloves & J.K. Rowling (2010).
But Draco secretly loves it. He wouldn’t have it any other way.
Edit: I was a bit exhausted. I forgot to mention that this piece was based on @lumoslyra’s drabble that she wrote for my previous work. She mentioned that Draco always sings nursery rhymes to Scorpius.
