The natal chart shouldn’t be something that conjures up feelings of restriction or being boxed into categories, but something to look at and think, what can I make from this? What talents and quirks and virtues have I got innately in me? And what can I put out into the world?
It is the foundation, the roots, and from it, we bloom.
examine your intentions. don’t move, why are you here? is your anger self righteous or misdirected? are you holding yourself accountable? what are the consequences of your actions? are your feelings facts, are they a tool for you to win an argument? are your actions consistent with the love you say you have for another? what does love mean to you? is your language mindful of another’s illnesses and traumas? do you respect another’s autonomy and critical thinking skills? are your emotions enriching this conversation or damaging it?

The house your moon is in represents how and where you store your emotions. The sign represents how the emotions operate, how they are dealt with and expressed.

Carl Jung seemingly attacks abstract thinking in “The Undiscovered Self,” which contradicts our apparent western value of evidence-based statistics.
Concrete thinking supports the individual in his flaws and quirks, abstract thinking neglects the individual in favor of the mean.
In the age of absolutism, in the favor of structure, can we define what does not exist in plain sight? What appears beyond our five senses, what cannot be molded or fit into a box?
A human is not a definitive it. Constantly, we are molded and shaped both externally and internally. To be human is to be dynamic.
To be dynamic is to change, to face internal and external battles, to have a multitude of choices and paths before us, to risk change and challenge the darkness of our futures. After all, we can’t so clearly make out the details, the supporting characters and events of our lives.
Astrology, which reflects us but does not control us, is centralized by polarities. Polarities are, simplistically put, two opposing sides of the same concept. The six signs divide into 12, as with the houses. In other words, astrology is defined by contradictions.
The initial mistake we all make in pursuing astrology is when we ask to be defined. Inevitably, there will be two points that do not align nicely. And so we become confused, or write off astrology as inaccurate. It cannot fit into a box-definition. It is not static in meaning.
We are caught in abstract thought, in the statistics that exclude our unique selves. We are oversimplifying our own complexity, and thus performing a huge disservice to ourselves.
To see a ‘contradiction’ in the chart is to learn of those human concepts that prompt our self-growth, that hide our darkness, and that fester beneath our conscious selves.
It is in those placements, which are often found in square, opposite, and inconjunct aspects, we learn how we fight ourselves and what part of us refuses to heal.
Yes, because as a concrete individual living and breathing, learning and growing, we will never wholly find ourselves through cookbook descriptions of sun and moon signs.
It is, instead, those moments of rage and destruction, sadness and jealousy, where we find our internal fight. You may write it off as “unlike me” or “heat of the moment.” You will then, of course, be ignoring your own 'contradictions,’ and your greatest opportunity for healing and self-growth.
Allow yourself to flow from the box that contains you.
pisces placements act as mirrors for others. people project their sexual desires and fantasies on the pisces mars. beauty and romantic ideals on the pisces venus. pisces placements don’t feel like they have a firm footing in their life because they always take on the energies of those around them, they have a hard time undertanding who they really are.
