Homestuck Updates Return In 8 Days! Before They Do, Read My Theory On What Vriska’s Return Means For

My reaction to the finale of Homestuck.

Essentially, the stages of grief (excluding acceptance). In no particular order.

Looking through your archive and I would just like to congratulate you on being correct about G-Cat and Tavrosprite fusing. Magnificent call.

Also, on a random note, it's nice to see another relatively new Homestuck Theory blog out there getting attention and reblogs from people. :3

Between all of the attention and the end of Homestuck imminent, I’ve been pumped lately to work on more theory posts! I’m REALLY running out of time, though, haha! I hope to have a new one out by tomorrow, so look forward to that! ;D

Anyone who likes Homestuck should see Interstellar.

It's awesome and has a very Homestucky feel. A similar premise, things that screamed each of 12 aspects, and ...well, I don't want to spoil anything. I legitimately thought "THIS IS HOMESTUCK" throughout the entire film.

Plus, the fact that it stars Matthew McConaughey—as essentially an Heir of Breath/Mage of Blood—is absolutely delightful. (JOHN JOHN JOHN)

I could blab on and on about all the Homestuck parallels. Maybe I'll do that some point and put spoiler warnings?

But no seriously, go see Interstellar; it's really good.

Aspects as Auxiliary Verbs

*For Space/Time, Will is non-conditional and future-tense. For Heart/Mind, Will is conditional (i.e. “if”).

Space: What is (the present). Time: What was (the past) and what will be (the future).

Light: What must be (is too probable/important). Void: What must NOT be (is too unlikely/insignificant).

Hope: What could be (is possible). Rage: What could NOT be (is impossible).

Heart: What would be (based on inner desire). Mind: What would be (based on decision and rationale).

Blood: What should be (is owed). Breath: What should NOT be (isn’t owed).

Life: What could be (is capable/allowed). Doom: What could NOT be (is incapable/not allowed).

Notice the similarities between the perpendicular aspect pairs:

Thanks, everyone, for your support for the past year and a half! It’s been a wild ride!

At this point, I’m not sure what the fate of this blog will be. I’m still disillusioned by Homestuck’s finale, although I realize an epilogue is in the works. I might do some character analyses, non-predictive theory posts, classpect stuff, or other posts, but we’ll see. I do still have some asks I need to answer. (Thanks for your patience on those.) I’m considering adding in some non-Homestuck content, perhaps applying classpect analyses to characters from other works, to keep it tied to HS.

At some point, I intend to read Problem Sleuth. (I know, I know, I’m behind. XP ) Maybe I could comment on that and sort of... pseudo-live blog as I go? I’d also like to re-read Homestuck now that it’s “finished”, and see if I can glean anything new. (Plus I want to make note of what’s been left unresolved.)

What would you guys like me to do? What content are you interested in seeing on this blog?

Aspect Keywords

The 12 Aspects all mean significantly more than their literal meanings. Supposedly, collectively, they encompass all of reality.

Here are some keywords that can be used as substitutions for the actual Aspect names. Not only are they useful for understanding the Aspects themselves, but they’re also useful for classpecting purposes, for understanding the meaning of a Hero Title.

When paired with my Classes Chart, these Aspect keywords provide broad, basic, simplified information on what a particular role might do.

Hmmm im just wondering did Davesprite really need to die in the Alone!Jade timeline? It kinda felt like he was collateral damage in the whole thing- Since Typheus was only aiming to wipe out John and LOWAS

Actually, Typheus may have been aiming for Davesprite, as well. I think the reason he needed to die is because the Davesprite from the Game Over timeline survived and will play a more important role.

Considering Jaspersprite tagged along when John brought LOWAS into the blank void yonder, I imagine Davesprite and possibly the other sprites came as well. I mean, they were all last seen together on LOTAK before that point.

If Davesprite did tag along, Paradox Space would need to balance his existence by dooming his alt!self, just as it did with the John and Roxy of the current timeline. 

Why one Davesprite over the other, though, I’m not sure. Maybe so John will be able to relate to him better? We’ll have to see. But yeah, I’m certain Davesprite is fine.

Here's a chart of all the classes, both Standard and Master.

My goal was to define, describe, and categorize them as efficiently and accurately as possible, based on my understanding of the classes. I based as much as I could on canon information, while inferring the rest.

Some clarification: I am aware Hussie essentially said any gender can have any class (i.e. female Princes). I don’t like the idea of gendered classes, anyway, and I think it’s needlessly restrictive, not to mention sexist and stereotyping.

However, my chart reflects what’s been depicted in comic, based on what Calliope states, looking at the characters’ classes and gender distribution, and then making some inferences based on Hussie’s penchant for balance and based on class names and god tier outfit designs.
