Finally got around to making my finale bingo card!
Original blank template by @traceexcalibur.
Edited to clarify some information regarding classes and gender. As a note, I’m pretty sure I made this chart either before Hussie made the statement on female Princes, or before I was aware of it. I’m still keeping the chart as-is, though, for now.
Here’s a chart of all the classes, both Standard and Master.
My goal was to define, describe, and categorize them as efficiently and accurately as possible, based on my understanding of the classes. I based as much as I could on canon information, while inferring the rest.
(For clarity, “–” denotes Active, and “+” denotes Passive.)
(Note: If chart looks distorted/shrunken, right-click and View Image.)
Special thanks to bladekindeyewear, dahniwitchoflight, infinitywhale and probably others for their insight and information, helping me understand the classes and aspects. I couldn’t have made this chart without them.
Some clarification: I am aware Hussie essentially said any gender can have any class (i.e. female Princes). I don’t like the idea of gendered classes, anyway, and I think it’s needlessly restrictive, not to mention sexist and stereotyping.
However, my chart reflects what’s been depicted in comic, based on what Calliope states, looking at the characters’ classes and gender distribution, and then making some inferences based on Hussie’s penchant for balance and based on class names and god tier outfit designs.
Today marks 1 ½ years since I started this blog, and also this is my 100th post!

At this point, I’m not sure what the fate of this blog will be. I’m still disillusioned by Homestuck’s finale, although I realize an epilogue is in the works. I might do some character analyses, non-predictive theory posts, classpect stuff, or other posts, but we’ll see. I do still have some asks I need to answer. (Thanks for your patience on those.) I’m considering adding in some non-Homestuck content, perhaps applying classpect analyses to characters from other works, to keep it tied to HS.
At some point, I intend to read Problem Sleuth. (I know, I know, I’m behind. XP ) Maybe I could comment on that and sort of... pseudo-live blog as I go? I’d also like to re-read Homestuck now that it’s “finished”, and see if I can glean anything new. (Plus I want to make note of what’s been left unresolved.)
What would you guys like me to do? What content are you interested in seeing on this blog?
If you've enjoyed Summerteen Romance, go check out the web comic Paranatural. It’s by Zack Morrison (firstnamezacklastnamemorrison), the same guy who wrote and co-illustrated Summerteen Romance and has also done a bunch of other comics for PXS.
Paranatural is one of the best comics I’ve ever read. It’s about a group of kids who can see ghosts and spirits, and they use superpowers to fight harmful spirits. (Okay, that description isn’t entirely accurate, but that’s the simplest way to describe it.)
Everything about Paranatural is fantastic. The plot, characters, humor, facial expressions, dialogue, pacing, foreshadowing, art, world building, alt text, everything. It’s hilarious, clever, action-packed, and even tugs at the heartstrings. Every single character, including (maybe especially?) the antagonists, is likeable and entertaining.
Here's a preview:
I cannot emphasize this comic enough. Homestuck may be the comic I’m most obsessed about, but Paranatural is my favorite. Go read it; it’s amazing!
I struggled with the same concept while formulating this theory, because Calmasis from CoTL sounds more like Caliborn than anything else. Basically I’m thinking the actual Calmasis will be the true union of Caliborn and Calliope, possibly even the Caliborn who made “HOMOSUCK” and is about to face Yaldabaoth.
Consider what Art!Caliborn says:
THE ATROCIOUS HATERS AND WEAK CHILDREN WILL SAY THAT I AM A MONSTER. THAT I AM THE BIGGEST BAD GUY. AND THAT MY EVIL CRIMES NEED TO BE STOPPED USING TANTRUM PUNCHES. BUT NO. I AM JUST A SIMPLE ARTIST.
I HUGELY INSIST. THAT I WALK THE PATH. NOT OF A VILLAIN. BUT OF AN ARTIST!!!
I mean, I think it’s pretty clear Art!Caliborn is not the one whose soul is trapped in Lil Cal and eventually becomes LE. And Calmasis’ description of “antihero and chief antagonist” indeed easily describes Art!Caliborn. So maybe he ends up fusing somehow with some form of Calliope, and that union forms Calmasis.
Regardless, tons of evidence supports an Alt!Calliope + Gamzee + Davepeta fusion, and I really think I’m on to something here. Whether or not they’re actually Calmasis (or form part of them) doesn’t really matter. I mostly chose to call them Calmasis as a placeholder name, for lack of anything better to name them. (Notice how I said, “For now, let’s call this fusion Calmasis.” Emphasis on “for now.”)
I mean, hey, maybe their fusion ends up being Zazzerpan? Or maybe they end up fusing with Art!Caliborn, too. We don’t really know. But for now, they need a name, and Calmasis seemed like the best one.
We already know Lord English is a fusion of the souls of Caliborn, Arquiusprite, and ½ Gamzee.
But what if there’s a Calliope counterpart? A fusion consisting of Alt!Calliope, Davepetasprite^2, and ½ Gamzee.

When people try to determine a mythological role (or "classpect"), they often tend to focus on only one class and one aspect that fit an individual. Possibly two if they subscribe to the inversion/subrole/duality theory. That is, they focus only on the Hero Title and possibly its inverse.
But really, if the 12 aspects are meant to encompass all of reality, and the classes are how one interacts with an aspect, wouldn’t that mean every aspect has influence on an individual, not just one or two of them? That would mean an individual consists of every aspect and class.
I theorize that there are 12 different roles (or classpects) that fit a person—6 unique pairs of roles—comprised of each standard classes and each aspect.
I call these 6 pairs a Classpect Profile. The primary pair is the Hero Title and subrole.
Example profile:
Significance of a Classpect Profile
Essentially, a Classpect Profile helps you gain a better understanding of yourself and how you might affect reality, beyond one or two aspects.
If you’re having difficulty determining your precise Hero Title (and subrole), solving your Classpect Profile can help you discover it, through process of elimination.
A Classpect Profile also provides Hero Title options! For whatever reason, you’re not fond of your primary role, you can choose an alternate role as your Hero Title. Not a fan of the Bard codpiece? Or maybe you have a “gender-exclusive” class opposite of your gender, and you’d prefer one that matches. Maybe your session needs a Space or Time player. Maybe your session has players with overlapping classes or aspects, and you want everyone’s to be unique. Whatever the reason, now you have alternate possibilities!
Determining which roles comprise a Classpect Profile
First, it requires a full understanding of what each class and aspect means. It also requires a lot of introspection, self-reflection, and self-understanding. There are many useful tools and resources to aid you in the process.
In my next post, I’ll guide you through a step-by-step process to solve your Classpect Profile.
About your Beforus First Guardian post, I think it's super cool but impossible, as the A1 session never had an ectobiology lab meteor in order to create a first gaurdian, or the players themselves for that matter, which is why they had to scratch in the first place.
Oh, interesting point. Hmm…
Although, if that’s the case, wouldn’t the same be true of the Alpha Kids’ session? Yet they managed to make GCat.
I mean, I suppose they could have used the ectobiology equipment from the Trolls’ meteor, but…
I don’t think it was so much that the Beforus trolls lacked an ectobiology lab as it was that the trolls originated from the post-Scratch (Alternia) session instead of the pre-Scratch (Beforus) one, so they needed to scratch in order to ensure their existence.
This is what Doc Scratch said on the matter:
Though they could not recognize it for the bad omen it was, this session was not the one in which they had been spawned. Such is the symptom of a subtle glitch affecting certain sessions, an error designed to trigger an unfathomable cascade of misfortune throughout paradox space. This glitch is the calling card of the one I serve.
It says nothing of ectobiology equipment or lack thereof, just in which session the trolls were spawned.
Also, Beforus would have had a first guardian regardless, because:
Every planet destined for intelligent life has such an entity meant to protect it, and facilitate the planet’s ultimate purpose.
So yeah.
So hey, I made another blog: pixie-styx-mix.
There’s only a few posts on it now, but it will serve as a combination blog for personal stuff and reblogs related to my fandoms and interests. So if you like Homestuck, Steven Universe, Undertale, Paranatural, Disney/Pixar, Nintendo, and/or psychology, or if you want to learn more about me, feel free to follow. (It mostly just has the first three subjects.)
Meanwhile, I will continue using this main blog for original posts involving theories and speculation. ...At least I plan on it. ^_^;
what say you that Kanaya's and Karkat's visit to Echidna will still end up be the same choice being asked of them? Jade's quest require resolution post-scratch, John's quest ended up factoring things that APPEAR to be outside sburb's programming (retcon powers), so perhaps Echidna of the troll session was asking a task of Kanaya that's only resolved across 3 sessions(!) so it appeared impossible to her?
Could be. Echidna may very well give both Kanaya and Karkat a second chance to rectify their previous actions. Kanaya, the same “impossible” task as before, which she may accept this time. Karkat, the opportunity to set right his previous mistake of rushing the frog breeding which resulted in the kids’ cancerous universe. (Which wasn’t entirely his fault, but he certainly blames himself for it.)
Maybe Kanaya and Karkat will sendificate the Genesis Frog to Jade in the past. (That still needs to be resolved.) Maybe they’ll breed a second Genesis Frog, so there will be one that becomes the Cherubs’ universe and another that becomes a universe for a new instance of Paradox Space.
If there ends up being two Genesis Frogs, maybe one of these frogs is the “perfect” one from the Trolls’ session that they never found and bred. Echidna could certainly help them with that, and it could easily relate to an “impossible” task that would also be resolved across multiple sessions.
Oh... OH...! OH SNAP!
THE SWEATY MUSCULAR GHOST APPEARS OUT OF NOWHERE.
It’s Arquiusprite! Lil Cal contains the souls of Caliborn, Arquiusprite, and (half of) Gamzee! THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE, YOU GUYS!
