Sometimes I wonder if an old sprit or god it would make a lot of sense as akechi seems to get his detective skills a good bit from his guardian sprit same with aiura so that could be were Saiki got some of his abilities tho it doesn't seem to be the case with Toritsuka but we can assume it's that way for Saiki based of how are lil ghost boy talks about it I'm not really familiar with Japanese spirits tho so I'm not quite sure what it could be

there's this one episode where reita's spirit leaves somewhere and kusuo asks : are you gonna be fine without ur guardian spirit?
