Thought of the day: Discussions of whether or not Rhaegar was a bad husband and father to Elia Martell and her children should have nothing to do with your speculations about Lyanna Stark. There is enough uncritical evidence in the summation of Rhaegar's canonical actions to tell us that he was not a good man towards Elia, Rhaenys and Aegon. Lyanna was a teenage girl, and has nothing to do with how Rhaegar, a fully grown man and the Crown Prince, mistreated his wife, and the mother of his children. Lyanna isn't responsible for Rhaegars bad choices.
This has caused great debate among my math friends so I think it needs tumblr's input

Hey a reminder to all salaried employees in the US that as of today, July 1st, you need to be making at least 43,888 per year or else your employer needs to pay you overtime at a rate of 1.5 per hour over 40 worked, as you are now non-FLSA exempt. On January 1st 2025 this number will increase to 58,655 per year. Don’t let your employer cheat you.
Schrodinger: Okay, I think there's an issue with the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics. Here's a thought experiment to demonstrate why its understanding of "observations" is problematic. Suppose we put a cat in a box with a sample of uranium, a geiger counter, and a hammer rigged to smash open a box of poison if the geiger counter detects any radiation. After an hour, there's a 50% chance the cat is alive. But according to the Copenhagen interpretation,
Tumblr: I'm gonna cut you off there. That's horrible, I would never do that to a poor defenseless cat. It's so easy to avoid putting a cat in a box with radiation and hammers and poison. You've deliberately constructed an extremely avoidable situation and then asked people to consider it inevitable. Why aren't we asking ourselves what institutions had to fail for the cat to end up in the box in the first place?
Schrodinger: ...
that’s a whole man.
This has been in my head for a week.
No, I do not know how to make a meme.
