my tbr is sitting at 22 books right now, and I don't know how I'm ever going to read them all because I keep buying more and more and more and more and more
I don’t make the rules but hot girls read books

I saw The Lumineers the other day (my favorite band), and I can tell you that post-concert depression is real
i want to be inconvenienced by you. i want to wait for you, i want to hold your things while you do something else, i want to make adjustments to my plans to make space for you. someone at your side who takes up no space and has no needs of their own is not a person, but a shadow. i don't want a shadow, i want you. i want my life to be altered by your presence in it. please, inconvenience me.
and then... *dramatic pause* …she took a nap!
There's a place
For everything soft,
Its in your gaze
The way you focus on everything
Leaves me amazed,
As you make harshness go away
Even if the voices around are loud
And the actions rash,
They filter through your lens
As blunted moments
Never making you flinch
For a second,
You're like an open door
Radiating light that touches the skin
As tenderly as it can,
Revealing so many places and ideas
That are picturesque
As if divinely touched and felt.
She used to gaze up at the stars
When mom drove her home at night
She thought everyone would know her name
And she'd never be put down without a fight
They said you can do what you put your mind to
But she was always scared of changing her mind
She didn't know the world the way she does now
That dreams like that were not for her to find

I just finished reading The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams, and
OH.
My.
GOD.
It was literally the most amazing book!! And possibly my new favorite?? It combined some of my favorite things, like words, language, feminism, historical fiction, and a beautiful story. The writing was different from a lot of what I've typically read before, and it almost felt like a classic book. It was about the life of a girl named Esme who grew up observing and then helping the creation of the Oxford English Dictionary. She starts collecting 'lost' words that aren't included, and that are typically used by and about women. It is kind of depressing at times, but I love it all the same. If you like words, historical fiction, and feminism, I highly recommend this book. Like, go read it right now. I love it so much!!

Hello! (except it's not like, Hello!!!, it's Hello. with more happiness)
Welcome to my blog! I kind of just got tumblr on a whim because I was bored. I thought I might as well post things because why not?
As you might guess from my username, I like poetry and physics. I will probably post poems that I write and ones that I just like. I'll also try to be funny, post random thoughts, and occasionally geek out about things.
In addition to poetry and physics, my interests are science in general, books/literature, too many tv shows (with crazy fandoms) to list, musicals, space/nasa, dark academia, music (my taste is all over the place), math, hank and john green, running, etc. If you are interested in anything like this, you might consider following me! I like to think of myself as a pretty cool person. (cause I'm sure my opinion of myself will convince you) (I don't know maybe it will)
Also I like parentheses.
Anyway, I don't know how regularly I will actually post, but I will try to do it as often as I can.
Thanks for your time! Have a lovely day!
