Giovanna Amati (July 20th, 1959, Italy) is an Italian racing driver, best remembered as the most recent woman to have entered a Formula 1 World Championship race. From a wealthy background, she started her racing career in Formula Abarth series before moving up into Formula Three between 1985 and 1986, later competing in Formula 3000 (1987). In 1992, Giovanna became the fifth woman to drive in Formula when she signed for Brabham.
