- reader is an average person - literally, they're not a vigilante by choice, of course, though even though they don't take part in the vigilante life, it doesn't mean they don't help.

- reader is such a life saviour, especially after a particularly grueling patrol always coming in clutch with hot chocolate they made for everyone in cute matching hello kitty cups because they're girlie pop .

- reader always helps patches everyone up - giving everyone deserved head pats, especially to poor dick because he always goes too hard on himself .

- despite not being a vigilante - reader knows about who they are and what they do - kinda hard not too when Jason is crashing in the loving room couch with a black eye.

- despite having not being as tech savvy as Barbra and Tim , the reader always sits with them - always engaging them in the latest gossip, which helps time pass by faster !

-every morning, Cas and readers literally does hot girl yoga sessions in Cas' rooms because why not ? And of course, they're both giggling about how last night on patrol Damian totally didn't slip and fall when he grappled onto a rooftop.

- every morning before they get ready for school , all the girls are huddled in Stephanie's room, and they're all picking out what matching sweaters they're all repping to school and they're doing each other's eyeliner while Chappel Ronan is blasting in the background <3.

- During lunch , Tim and the reader and a couple of other friends are gathered around a lunch table playing uno - Tim literally always changing up the rules when he's losing which earns a playful smack from reader lol.

- after school , Damian and the reader both at the park playing with Titus in the park and feeding the nearby ducks in the pond . One time Reader fell in the pond and Damian couldn't stop laughing at them for a whole week.

- Jason and reader are always trying to one up each other on who can run up the stairs faster ( fun fact it's neither of them it's actually Alfred ) and they're both always grumpy when he beats them both because wdym an old man is faster than them -.

- reader and Duke always do homework together every night - both literally confused - literally the blind leading the blind because neither of them understands what their homework requires of them.

- dick and reader ends off the night by watching a random series like love island together and both gets way too political on who should end up with who and if either watches an episode without the other ITS BETRAYAL .

- reader and Bruce unironically text and communicate with each other in cringey memes, which only they find funny at this point -

- reader who helps Alfred with menial chores because they wanna spend time with him and plus Alfred is always spilling tea about his missions back in the day like wdym Alfred flirted with the Queen of England once -

- so all in all, despite not being a vigilante , reader is integrated in batfam's life so much so their literally dubbed the favorite sibling .

- like the one day reader spent the day with a friend's, Damian, Duke, Cas and Tim showed up and crashed it because they missed them so much . Reader had 12 missed calls from Bruce , 50+ messages rom Dick accusing them of not loving him because they abandoned him , a video sent from Jason of him eating reader's hidden stash of sweets and a message from steph saying she's stealing reader's hair curler .

- Alfred literally brags about reader like their the only grandchild he has 😭😭.

Overall, chaotic family shenanigans and overall batfam loves reader too much .

summary: due to Bruce distancing himself from reading and seeing other women - batfam has to watch their mom willow away.

For the twenty-five years, Bruce and Name have been married together - Alfred has never seen Name so withdrawn - so detached . He watches every morning how Name's frail body maneuvers around the kitchen making her own breakfast -

God knows how many times he's asked that stubborn woman to allow him to cook for him but she has always refused him with a quiet smile and a wave of hand. He watches her glide around the kitchen- a woman of once poise and grace reduced to her fumbling with simply holding a cereal box.

Alfred could never pin point where it had all went wrong in their marriage - they were both high-school sweethearts- their marriage was beautiful- he'd know because he had honored it himself. To see them so distant aches his heart.

Alfred knows Bruce has a mission - to save Gotham- a mission that seems ever lasting - a mission that had consumed him entirely to the point it took him over . It took away his relationship with his kids and his own wife .

Alfred would always shoot him disapproving looks when he sees Bruce being too flirty with Talia and Selina - he blesses Name's heart for loving Damian all the same like she has with all her other kids but Alfred notices since then she is virtual never in the same place with Bruce.

She no longer goes to galas anymore , no longer makes public appearances - maybe its because Bruce always had a different arm candy every other night. It's gotten so bad that even the kids started realizing this - Damian , upon realizing his birth had broken down in Name's arms one night - pleading with her to love him - that he's sorry for being born.

Alfred remembers Name cradling the young boy in her arms all night and assuring him he's the best thing Bruce ever made and that she would never blame him for Bruce's actions. Since then - the young boy has always stuck to Name - every morning, he'd affectionately hand her daily medicine and would always help her wrap a shawl over her shoulders.

Tim and Bruce began arguing - particularly because Bruce starting leaving the massive work of W.E for Tim to handle- it came to a head one night when Name and Bruce argued for two hours straight. He remembered how raw her voice was when she yelled at Bruce for overworked her poor son - that he's young and deserves to live and experience his teenage years.

Bruce had argued that Tim had wanted this - that this was what being Robin was about. Jason- god knows Jason and Bruce doesn't get along - ever since what happened to Joker but they argue even worse when it boils down to Name .

Jason was a child primarily raised by Name - she taught him to trust and showed him everything he knew - down to ironing his shirt to tying his shoelace - Name was the mother Jason never had and God could damn for all he cares but couldn't stand to watch Bruce treat her like she was an option because she wasn't - not to him or his brothers.

Jason always made it a point to call Bruce out for his own hypocrisy, himself and Damian always teamed up against him, especially when he was being too flirty with Selina or some random eye candy.

" I suggest you back off harlot , my mother might not kill you, but I will " - Damian when Bruce and Selina were flirting together on patrol.

" I don't give a fuck if ma begs me not to put a bullet in your head , the next damn time I see you talking about her like that I won't hesitate to skin you alive " - Jason when he caught some arm candy bragging to her friends how the 'Bruce Wayne' took her out on a date in front of Name.

God if anyone argues more with Bruce in this household was Dick - Dick was their first child and a child whom lost everything and yes Bruce may of made him robin but name made him dick grayson - bless that woman's heart for having to deal with his tantrums and outbursts when he was younger -

But that woman despite not birthing him was his mother - the woman who literally hugged him everynight to go to bed , the same woman who made his suit for prom by hand and also the same woman he goes to for advice and comfort - safe to say when he heard what Bruce was doing - they argued non stop-

" For god sake, Bruce, you're destroying us - you're destroying our family, and you don't even care." - Dick when Bruce had called you useless because you couldn't walk up a stairs anymore.

Someone from the outside might think they're dramatic, but ever since Bruce started distancing himself from Name and going out with God knows who , Name has fallen into a deep depression - a type of depression that ensnared them in their deep claws and deprive them of what little happiness and energy they have left.

Most days , Name sits on a swing outside and just exists- barely eats , barely talks anymore - how can they ? How can one fathom to be happy when their own spouse is out cheating on you with different people and to make matter worse the public condones it - even more so enables him.

Always publishing some new article of which new model or actress can become worthy of being Bruce's wife as if she doesn't exist. Alfred swallows as he watches her tonight - they're sat stiffly in a velvet love seat , a faint smile on her face, Damian is resting his head on their shoulder, showing them his latest art piece while quietly talking about his day.

Behind her, jason embraces her in a backhug , head resting on her head - his hands sometimes play with the loose strands. Tim quietly sits beside her , his hand holding her free hand - now and again he'd squeeze it . Dick is sat next to Damian on the love seats' arm rest as he prepares her nightly medicine.

Even if the public and her own husband loathes her, name still has the love of her kids and Alfred as always. Suddenly, the large oak doors of the living room are pushed open - the vibrant warmth interrupted as Bruce steps inside .

Damian quiets - everyone looking at Bruce except for Name - she has taken it to state at her hands. " It's time for patrol" Bruce says grufly . No one responds but reluctantly leaves Name side , Jason side hugs her one last time before leaving .

" Yeah, whatever you say, geaser," He says as he shoves Bruce out of his way to go to the cave . Damian glares at his father , " Hopefully, things are taken seriously on this patrol " he insinuated- knowing eyes glaring right at his father disapproving.

Bruce ignores them and stares at name, " Make dinner before we leave " he orders before promptly walking away. Name says nothing - too numbed out a long while to even react. Dick and Alfred himself curses him while Tim is glaring at the closing door harshly .

" Ma I'll order us something don't stress yourself " Tim assures her while ordering Uber eats for them on his phone . Name doesn't say anything but sends him a small smile. " I can't believe I raised that boy," Alfred murmurs as he shakes his head in disappointment .

Bruce may not realize it now but it's too late to fix anything - too late to pull his wife back in and live the happy life they once had - its too late to repair their broken family since the glue that's stuck them all together is fading away .

She carries the hurtful and agonizing memory of brutally losing her mother and the painful memories of being neglected by her supposed 'adopted' family. Reader takes it upon herself to make something out of herself by becoming a CIA agent .

After three painstaking years of making a life for herself in Russia - reader is finally feeling life life is worth living til her family comes hunting her down - determined to piece it back together.

-> Dmaian Wayne is a new member of his father's ward and is struggling desperately to find himself and earn his part in this family. One day after he gets into another screaming match with Grayson and his father - Damian seeks refuge in the forgotten parts of the mansion and stumbles across reader's old room - here Damian feels so attached and understood as he pours over the remnants of readers left behind past . Determined and fascinated - Damian searches for her - strangling along fellow other family members who (later) become intrigued with reader.

Part Three of Help Yourself

In the years 1947 - 1991 , The United States of America held a long , grueling political war with the Soviet Union, a war that caused massive propaganda to become widespread and ravaged the economic health of both countries. The American civilians of this era held great anxiety of the possible fear of America becoming a Communist state while America's government try to prepare themselves in facing a possible nuclear war. One of these preparations birthed project Widow.

Project Widow involved ten candidates at each succession , all from various ages , the oldest a child can be was eight years of age project started. All ten candidates were selected based on several profiling traits : having been orphaned , no genetic defaults , perfect health , good communications skills & the ability to adapt to a situation quickly.

The Widow program trained these ten candidates to the age of thirteen , candidates are drugged for the first years of the program- to remove any and all influence of the outside world and instructors were told to 'bond' with them . During this fragile time , candidate are taught to die serving the government is the best honor one could have - candidates are groomed to serve their government with outmost loyalty.

Their tween years are spent honing their skills - brutal training begins - and separates the weak from the strong . Candidates found failing more than three tests are disposed off immediately . Candidates are put in various simulated scenarios ranging from drowning in one's own blood to being beaten to death . Candidates are taught to be prepared for anything no matter what.

At ages thirteen comes the biggest test in every candidate's life - the test of choice . Each candidate is given a choice - save a child and kill their mother or kill the child and save their mother . In the event a candidate hesitates in this exam , they would be disposed off immediately , if the candidate chooses wrong , the candidate would have one of their eyes removed - a symbol of failure and would be shunned for the rest of their training . Only when the candidate makes the right choice - the candidate can finally graduate - becoming the symbol , a beacon of hope for their beloved country . Although the political war has ' long ended ' due to a 'peace treaty' , the government still funds this wonderful project in the hopes of creating strong soldiers .

Though over the years the graduating candidates has slimmed drastically , many successions leading often to zero graduating candidates . The government pushed harder - the desperate need for a Widow is even stronger as powerful parties such as , the Justice league , were becoming powerful and popular rapidly. Their control slipping . Thankfully , in 2015 , one successful candidate graduated with extraordinary results , earning them the title , ' Widow '

Choked sobs echo through the desolate alleyway , the man coughs and chokes on his own spit as he desperately cries out in anguish. The attacker is relentless as she presses her sword deeper into the man's back , his crimson blood spilling over himself and her black stilettoes.

"Spill " she demands him , eyes fixated on his anguished face - eagerly waiting for him to break - just like how a spider watches in careful , planned patience as the bug entangles himself in her web. " I-I don't know what you are talking about ! " The man pleads. She smiles as she pierces her sword right through him - the man screams loudly - his body immediately flails about in response , her sword lodges itself even deeper.

" If you speak I will help you " she offers readily , her helmet hides her greedy smile and eyes filled with promised death . " It's the Joker - he - he was the one that ordered me to take those files , I-I swear " the man manages to choke up. She only hums in response and crouches down to him , meeting him and eye level , " Thank you " she murmurs too softly . The man was taken aback but feels himself feeling at ease maybe she would help him after all - was his last and only though before she slices his head off his body in practiced poise.

She stands up to her full height and begins to sheathe her sword , " The government thanks you for your service " she murmurs like a practice prayer. Like the black widow , she too leaves her mangled prey on the web as a pretty display as disappears away into he bleak abyss of Gotham awaiting for her next prey.

summary : in a family filled with intriguing members of their own right , duke has a particular interest in a certain vigilante in the family that everyone seems to overlook . this interest leads to the family to spiral into obsession .

When he was first introduce to the Wayne family , Duke was overwhelmed , everyone was so talented , so special and unique and came from such - complex backgrounds , it was hard to ever find something or anyone dull in the family . Duke had his highs with the family - from patrol , to movie nights every Saturday , food fights on Monday mornings because of course Jason had to rile up Damian but he had his lows - particularly the fact that he was the only sole meta in the family .

Something so minute shouldn't affect him , I mean come on isn't badass that he's in a family that can accomplish so much with sheer willpower without powers ? Though , it hurts every time he sees Conner teach Jon how to use his super strength without hurting himself in the process . He seethes in envy every time he witnesses it because he swears it ensnares him in a painful grasp - reminding him that he's the bystander in this family and that he's the only odd one out.

He shakes away the chill that runs up his spine and returns his focus back to the scene in front of him , a young woman is desperately trying to yank her purse away from some lacky burglar. ' Easy' Duke thinks to himself as he effortlessly swoops down from the rooftop he is perched on and landed on the thug . " Leave this poor woman alone " Duke commands as he pressed his legs onto the burglar's back. The burglar growls and pushes himself off the floor - practically making the woman scream . Duke immediately goes to jump away and reassess the situation when the burglar spins around inhumanely fast mid air to face the vigilante .

Bewilderment and confusion was all Duke felt but regardless he goes to land a sucker punch to the burglar's mask face when suddenly the burglar takes out a bomb from his inner pocket and throws it at the woman behind them. The woman screams as the bomb makes a beeline towards her and Duke wants to scream in frustration at how utterly stupid she's being and the fact that the burglar has outplayed him.

Suddenly , a figure clad in black with red accents jumps in front of the lady and catches the bomb effortlessly and throws it aside like it was nothing. Duke takes this time to sucker punch the burglar into the floor while he was distracted with the bomb's dentation , causing the man to groan in pain . While Duke is handcuffing the burglar , he eyes the figure in the corner of his eye handing the woman her purse before approaching him.

" Thank you ..... " Duke trails off as he watches the figure properly . He notes that they adorn a black body suit but has a red spider symbol in front near their chest . They adorn black helmet that covers the entirety of their face , only showing the user's dark brown eyes.

"Widow "the figure answers before leaping away from Duke . " Wait ! Who are you , I've never met you before !" exclaims as he extends his hand in attempt to reach out to them . " Just stay safe kid you don't know what you're doing " the figure says , directing a glare at him before they vanish.

That afternoon , Duke returns back to the mansion , he slumps against the kitchen table , the weight of patrolling all day and the situation of meeting a strange entity named ' Widow'. Alfred gently pats him on the back and serves him a plate of snadwhiches.

" I take it that today's patrol was exhausting Master Duke" , Alfred asks him as he begins to wash up wares in the kitchen. " You have no idea , met some weirdo who called me a kid like what the hell " , Duke complains as he takes a bite of the sandwich . " Weirdo ?" Alfred questions as he dries a plate. " Yeah some named Widow " Duke replies . Alfred drops the plate.

He feels every muscle on his body tense at the mention of her name , a name that may have been a bygone memory to many but not to him never him . Duke scrambles out of his chair and approaches Alfred . " Hey are you okay ?" Duke asks as he holds the elderly man by the hands. Alfred tries - he tries to talk but is too shocked to say anything - he fears this is a dream , a cruel dream that god bestowed upon him as a punishment - a reminder of his failure .

"Widow - are you sure they said Widow ?" Alfred asks the boy frantically , panic old eyes watching Duke's intently. Duke stumbles back but answers , " Yeah that's what they said why does it matter ?" . Pin drop silence fills the manor as Alfred registers Duke's words. Alfred crouches to the ground , his hands run along the jargoned edges of the broken plate - the rough feeling grounds him , reminding him that all of this is real .

" It matters because that is your sister young master " Alfred forces out. Silence consumes them again . " What ?" Duke questions as he holds onto Alfred tighter. For the five years he has lived with the Waynes - no one never mentioned a Widow or a sister not ever so why is it now that he finds out that he has a sister and one that he has not heard or known about.

Alfred can feel warm hot tears running down his worn cheeks as nostalgic memories of him making a younger you a hot chocolate in the afternoon as you sit in the same chair as Duke had , coloring whilst simply blabbering about your day. He recalls how every night , he can feel your tiny figure sneaking into his bed to hug him with your stuffed bunny You were practically his daughter .

He also remembers that you weren't particularly liked by the Wayne family , at the time only consisted of himself and Bruce - a younger much fragile Bruce that had no idea how to raise a kid - a kid that was just put into his custody because their parents got too drugged up and k*lled themselves in the living room.

The situation wasn't ideal , Bruce was immature , till learning how to navigate his own feelings , his own anger , his own loss and so were you , a small , fragile thing that didn't quite yet understand why mommy and daddy were being put in a box .

He also remembers that tragic day - the day he lost you - . It was like any ordinary day , he dropped you off at kindergarten and watched you run to your teacher , excitedly showing her a drawing you made. He watches you smile and wave him goodbye as the teacher escorts you to your classroom. Alfred does what he usually does , returns back home and begin his preparations when he receives a call from your teacher . He remembers the dread , the sheer panic , the bone chilling anxiety that consumed him when he picked up that call to hear your teacher utter the words

" two government officials barged in class around recess and they took ( name ) I'm so sorry I tried to stop them - tried to grab the tiny thing but they had her really tight and - and they left "

Reader is your resident friendly vigilante at night that swoops in and saves you from potentially jay walking into a moving car and your average high schooler in the day.

Reader's vigilante has many dubbed names, but their popular one is " scythe " since the vigilante is always seen grasping a large black scythe in their hands - drapped out in a black body suit with a matching black helmet .

Reader is known to save any wandering child in Gotham inferno of hell . Their vigilante persona is known to hunt down any danger that opposes these innocent children.

This particular gains the interest of Batfam - particularly - Red Hood as he - undeniably understands the hardships of any child left on the streets to defend themselves . He has personally seen the reader's vigilante self hopping off from building to building - too engrossed with either hunting another potential threat or simply saving a kid - though that doesn't mean Jason isn't a fan .

He fully supports you - hell, he's a bit of a fan boy, especially when he heard you saved a group of kids from Riddler from Crime Ally. He has a little keychain of your vigilante persona on his motorcycle keys.

Now personally , Tim and Dmaian are fans of your civilian self - you and Tim share a history class together, and it's always so refreshing seeing someone so invested in his own nerdy niche - he swears when he's debating on Napoleon's war strategies with you in front of the whole class he's flirting -.

Like it's not every day he gets to argue with a cute girl about if Napoleon's attempt to take over Europe was a success or a massive flop.

Personally, Damian likes the fact that you are as big of an animal lover as him - especially after one particular afternoon he was waiting on Tim , who of course was taking his sweet time to come - when he spotted you in the School's garden pouring water from your own water flask into a little container for a stray to drink out off. His mouth twitched up at the sight .

Like that's so cute of you awww -.

Bruce and Dick only knows of you through Tim's dinner rants of ' a cute girl in his history class told him his debate of Canada having a better navy than the US is ridiculous 'and so on and also tad bits of Damian telling them about how he saw a cute girl in his school pet a squirrel .

So safe to say they think you're so adorable and cute, like, awwwwwww . Bruce is fighting every instinct to not adopt yourigt then and there, though it's hard when Dick and Damian keep insisting that it's a good idea
