ATSV SPOILERS BELOW CUT
First off, We’re talking about the multiverse here. Things/ things that are normally considered “basic” may not be as basic in other universes. (saying this because of when she first entered earth 1610, i just think she was overwhelmed with emotions and didn’t know what to do there😭) obvious from the beginning of the movie, that she missed miles because of him being her only friend. I mean once Miguel shows up, she asks him if it’s possible to travel the multiverse.(deadass don’t see a reason for her wanting to travel the multiverse before that other then miles) soon after all the shit she goes through(😔) she finally gets invited to the spider society but she is put under all of these rules of not being able to go to earth 1610 BECAUSE OF MILES AND PROBABLY HIM BEING THE FIRST EVER ERROR/ ANOMALY IN THE WEB OF LIFE AND DESTINY. But she also couldn’t disobey those rules either as if she did, she would have been found out and been back to actually face her back. Which she stayed in that to avoid confrontating her dad after that. The only time, she’s actually able to see miles is when she gets put out on that mission and still it was found out. This is the part where she betrayed him though, but in her case its play it by the book or lose. I’m gonna be honest, she seems lost here. As in there’s no good way this could actually part. Simply gwen was trying to protect miles and herself, by doing what she felt was best inbetween.||
I think I’m actually gonna get off my ass & start applying, since the main problem I have with is states. I’m starting to feel like if I just do it atp, then it’ll just go along and i won’t be as stagnant as I am especially with feeling stuck about even entering a state.
Spider- Man Across The Spider Verse (2023)
it's what he DESERVES
What "putting shifting on a pedestal" is NOT:
Having an emotional attachment to your DR
Fantasizing about/romanticizing your DR
Having a hyper fixation on, special interest in, or an obsession with your DR
Wanting to permashift
Wanting to escape this reality
Being excited about the concept of shifting
Finding joy in shifting instead of living with a grim dark outlook on litterally everything ever
YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE STRONG EMOTIONS REGARDING SHIFTING. PASSION IS GOOD!
It is OKAY to have an attachment to your DR. You know why? Because it's a real fucking reality that you actually fucking live in. How is it wrong to be attached to your life and your loved ones? It isn't wrong.
What "putting shifting on a pedestal" IS:
Seeing it as above you or something you aren't good enough to do
Thinking only special or talented people can shift
Thinking you have to be perfect to shift
Thinking you have to "earn it" or become "worthy" of shifting
Tying whether or not you shift to your self worth and viewing any setbacks as personal failures
Thinking that it won't happen to you or that whether or not you shift is determined by how "lucky" you are
Putting shifting on a pedestal means that you think it is above you and that you are beneath it.
You are not grovelling at the universe's feet, you are not earning a trophy or a reward, you are shifting your awareness to a life you're already living.
You are already worthy of shifting and you shift all the time without knowing it. How could you possibly be incapable of something that you are already doing.
You're just becoming aware. Shifting is cool and all but it's not not so cool that you can't possibly be worthy, it's JUST awareness.
