intern stim headcanons

because everyone in psychonauts is neurodivergent (tim schafer told me himself, not clickbait)

adam: the obvious one is his yoyo! he has a bunch of fidget toys but the yoyo is his favourite, he really likes the weight of it and the way it buzzes as it's spinning. he also fidgets with his fingers a lot, tapping his thumb against his fingertips/knuckles in a certain rhythm or running his fingers over the hems and cuffs of his jacket

raz: vocal stims. obviously he talks to himself out loud all the time, and he loves certain words with a good mouthfeel (funicular!). he also likes full-body stims like stretching, handstands/cartwheels and bouncing/rocking in place. he doodles during lessons to keep himself focused, and he flaps when he's happy or excited :)

sam: big into pressure stims. she will wedge herself under the couch cushions with 3 weighted blankets on top of her. she'll get people to lay on top of her because she craves The Squish. also likes chews and certain scents, like smelling her hair. and spinning!

norma: has a lot of bad habits like picking at her skin/nailbeds and biting her nails, grinding her teeth, pulling out her hair - especially when she's stressed. less destructive stims include fidgeting with her glasses, and she likes certain textures too, especially knitwear or anything with defined seams

morris: audio stims. will listen to a song on repeat twelve hundred times and not get bored because it tickles his brain in the right way. he also likes tapping/drumming rhythms, with his hands or whatever is within reach. vocal stims, talking but also humming and singing! he loves to sing. fidgets with his hair a lot too, likes combing it or running his fingers through it but if anyone else touches it He Will Die

gisu: will stim/fidget with literally anything she can get her hands on. the badges on her bag strap, the buttons on her shirt, pencils, screwdrivers and other pointy tools that she should probably be more careful with but the sharp pressure feels really good and she's not pressing hard enough to break the skin, relax. she also loves to jump and move about! i think she enjoys levitation as a sensory experience

lizzie: popping her joints, and just generally stretching. visual stims - raz introduces her to slime videos and she is HOOKED. doodles a lot too, especially on her arms (she used to use pen but since learning how to do the figment tattoos she usually just messes with those). she also likes pressure/weight and texture + temperature stims, which her bracelets and earring are good for.
