I am so sick and tired of finding fanfictions that look interesting, and going in hoping for GN readers, only to be figuratively slapped in the face with a female reader. It sucks as someone who isn't comfortable with she/her pronouns or titles when you see that in a fic without expecting it.

Please just make it clear. I am so tired of getting excited by a fanfiction, only to be hit the face with a fem reader- there's nothing wrong with fem readers. But please, just make it clear. I'm tired of this.

Hi, so this has just been floating around my head all day long and I need to share it with someone.

So, like, the Traveller comes from another world, right? Right. We all know this. But like??? No one ever said what world they came from. And, moreover, they never said what era that world was in, right? Like, even if time travel wasn't involved, I imagine that different universes progress differently, right? So basically, where I'm going with this, is imagine a traveler who's just... A gen z or millenial. And they just make all sorts of meme references constantly and no one knows what the FUCK they're talking about. Like:

Traveler: Beesechurger.

Kaeya, a little drunk and crying: What does that mEAN?!

Diluc: For the last time, those are pigeons.

Traveler: Why are we here? Just to suffer?

Jean: No we're having a meeting. Are you okay??

Zhongli: Oh. Uhhh, 69.

Traveler: Oh! You know what that means!

Zhongli: It means I have 69 mora, I don't know what you want from me here.

And then, Venti, who knows just as much as the others, gets in on it and has the traveler teach him their ways bc he just thinks it's hilarious

Zhongli has never owned any pets in his life. Too busy. Now that he's "mortal" he has more vacation time

He finds a little white cat outside the parlor all dirty and crying. Ofc he can't just leave the poor thing??

He washes her up and talks to it like it's another human. Saying things like "you're quite filthy little one, did you roll in the dirt?"

Afterwards he has some nice fish laid out for the cat, like some high quality fish because such a fine young lady deserves a wonderful meal. The cat sits on the far end of the table with a little tiny fancy bowl to eat out of out. He thinks of her as a special guest, not really expecting to keep her.

It starts pouring and Zhongli feels bad sending her out now so he keeps her overnight. The cat finds it's way into his bed and curls up on his chest. Shes all soft and warm and the purring is so soothing.

The next day he sets up breakfast for her and continues to talk to her, asking her how breakfast is and listing the ingredients and their importance to flavoring the dish. It genuinely feels like he's happy to talk to the little cat.

Long story short, he can't bare to part with her so he ends up keeping her. He spends every waking moment trying to come up with a name. I'd say realistically he'd come up with a special name with a beautiful meaning, but my self indulgence wants to say he named her Miss Milky bc she had a little milk beard once and it made him laugh (I really dont want to go looking for names ok).

Yes, you have to put the "miss" in front of the name bc you have to be respectful to the young lady; it's part of her name.

Miss Milky goes EVERYWHERE with him except outside the city; it's too dangerous for her there. She either follows him or is carried around. He goes to an important meeting and miss milky is in his lap, purring and smiling a cat grin.

Pays way too much mora on her. A single toy costs enough to have several different dishes at the most expensive restaurant. Miss Milky is absolutely spoiled with the best. Plus zhongli has never owned a cat so he wasn't exactly sure what she'd like so he got everything that was recommended to him.

She sleeps with him too. All the time. Usually cradled in his arms, laying on top of his chest, or nestled in the crook of his neck. She does have a nice cat bed but hardly uses it. Zhongli has gotten used to sleeping on his back now.

Literally spends time with her?? Someone invites him to dinner and he denies saying he already has plans and it's just him taking a stroll with miss milky like he promised when he left.

Does she get cute little accessories? Damn right. She has a cute little collar with a bell and a bow he puts in her fur on special occasions. When winter comes she also has a little hand knitted sweater that probably costs more than you could afford..

Do not mess with his cat. You'll die. A dog barking at her? Zhongli does not abuse animals but he can strike fear into it with once glance. You just some bum insulting a man for loving his cat? Calling her a pest? Don't even come back to his parlor or associate yourself with him ever again.

Zhongli is the meme of the samurai holding a sword protecting his cat. That's the dynamic.

Diluc

He has to be sure you’re not a threat to Mondstat before he even thinks about forming a platonic relationship with you, let alone a romantic one

Diluc isn’t sure what attracts you to him, probably the thrill of danger. The act of placing his life into a person who could snap him like a twig

Every brush or your fangs or scratch of your nails is a reminder of his fragility compared to your superior strength. 

He’s into it way more than he’d like to admit and you know it.

Your days are often spent sleeping, and usually Diluc will sleep the mornings with you sleeping, afternoons and evenings are strictly business time to him

If you help out with his Darknight Hero rounds he’s more than happy to have you about. And he loves seeing your raw power tear through Abyss Mages forcefields quicker than he can with his vision

It’s funny watching Diluc skirt about questions about your past, especially once you’re in a relationship. Though unlike other vampires, you’re more open to sharing your secrets with Diluc than others.

Diluc being a secretive person himself doesn’t speak of your own vampiric abilities

Diluc is the original hypeman in the shadows. Anything you do is immediately met with praise, especially when it comes to your vampiric abilities;

Turn into a bat or other animal mid battle to move the battle to your advantage after he’ll just tell you how cool the move was

Turn into mist to fuck with the abyss mages like they do everyone else? Hell yeah payback bitch

Teleport into an abyss mages forcefield to take em down? Number 1 hype man right here

Diluc will compliment you on all the cool things you did on the walk back to the winery and man seeing his face light up his the best thing

You can guess this is what he was like before his fathers death, this cheery smiley man. It’s a shame you don’t get to see it more

Zhongli

Zhongli knew there was something different about you, something not human and once he finds out about your vampiric status everything kind of melds together. The reason why you are never seen on lovely bright days

Though the fact you’re seen at all during the day is something to behold actually and the first question to leave Zhongli’s mouth is ‘why can you go outside during the day?’

You explain that you’re a particularly old and strong vampire, rivalling some of the youngest gods in age. You had once had a coven but many of it’s members but your kind had been hunted to near extinction by archon loyalists who saw you all as blasphemous 

Sitting at the table with other historians is always so much fun for both of you, especially with your contradicting opinions on the geo archon. Though your opinions aren’t necessarily bad but it’s more like you see them in a different light considering your age and knowledge of the world

Zhongli enjoys talking to you about divinity. So much so that you think that Zhongli is constantly dropping hints that he is the Geo Archon himself

You don’t question him but instead drop hints back at him that you know, small things that makes him question internally about it.

Its not often you or Zhongli go about fighting, the two of you much prefer to sit, drink tea and have a good chatter

Though the centuries of battling shows when the both of you are thrown into battle, you often bounce off of each other with ease. And with the added flare of your shapeshifting abilities your enemies will always perish

Around Liyue Harbour both you and Zhongli are friendly with the kids, often treating them to popsicles or games of tag and hide and seek. Despite the fact that the two of you don’t look a day over 30 many of the children give you sweet nicknames with any kind of relation to grandparents

The other vampires you have left you will visit often, usually when Zhongli is visiting his adepti. Seeing your children thrive in all corners of Teyvat without the security of a nest of vampires is admirable. Its no wonder they have survived this long

While you’re not as lively as the younger vampires both you and Zhongli cause your fair bit of trouble and have the most fun you can possibly can have

I wrote a lil something with high Kaeya a little while ago: here!

Anyways! Kaeya doesn’t often show it but he is under a lot of stress…All the time

He has a lot of relationships with criminals where information is traded, he has to do all kinds of work for the knights and handle civilian problems aside from knight duties! Everyone tends to think he’s a slacker but he always has a lot to do

So the guy has very little free time! So when he’s high, he tends to just…Space out and relax! He deserves it

He’s content to slouch into his couch cushions and stare into the fireplace for hours with a tired smile on his face. He’s the definition of ‘no thoughts behind those eyes’ when he’s like this and you know what? Good for him

If you’re there with him, he’ll either fall asleep on your shoulder or zone out while listening to you talk. Or both

Because he’s a captain, he has to uphold his image though so this is a super rare thing 0-0

Diluc:

Coughs a LOT, complains about the smell and overall doesn’t approve of smoking in the house but if he does join in…

He’s a very loud, affectionate drunk and can be some what similar when he’s high

Very clingy but gets bored easily, he’ll get up to wander around and then come back to sit with you. Then he gets bored so he gets up again to walk around. Then he misses you so he comes back to sit again. This will go on as long as you allow it

If you get annoyed and finally tell him to sit his ass down he’ll sigh very dramatically over and over which is even more annoying

He gets cravings too but then after a cook makes whatever he wanted he takes two bites and decides he doesn’t want it anymore :/

I love him…But he isn’t cut out for this lmao

Zhongli:

Zhongli is even more talkative than he usually is but lacking his usual formal filter

He sounds more tired than usual but his stories have a lot more detail than they did last time you heard it

He’ll literally spill all of his secrets to you since it’s just you guys. Archon orgies, playing pranks on vison wielders, throwing boulders at Venti, he’ll tell you all about it all while laying half on the floor, half on the couch

He might remember telling you, he might not. Hell, who knows if you’ll remember? Either way, he turns into a comedian when he’s high

“-So that is what I said, I made sure that…That stupid airhead of an Anemo Archon stopped writing profanities in the clouds when I wasn’t looking. I threw that boulder from Qingce Village to…Do they call it Springvale now..? I think they do. Either way, apparently I created a crater of sorts over there. It’s a sizable pond nowadays, the townspeople love fishing there”

Baizhu:

As a herbal pharmacist, I’m sure he’s smoked plenty of herbs before so Baizhu is experienced!

He’d probably be the one guiding you along to make sure you are not only safe but having a good time too

He doesn’t smoke a lot at once, just enough to feel relaxed

One of his favorite things to do while he’s high is going to listen to the storytellers by the Northland Bank. He’ll take a seat in the back and listen! He isn’t totally there, he mostly zones out but it’s fun! He’ll probably want to take you there too

Otherwise you’ll be in the back of the pharmacy together with whatever herbs you want at your fingertips. Don’t worry, the Fatui can get more for him whenever he wants ;) shh
