Who is Nico?

Each of the nine bishops match up with a pattern on the Blurryface cover. (turned the bishop’s image to the left. East is up now.)

Keons - HeavyDirtySoul // Savarver - Tear In My Heart // Listo - Ride // Lisden - Polarize // Reisdro - Doubt // Vetomo - Lane Boy // Andre - Fairly Local // Nico - (supposedly Stressed Out) // Nills - Goner

The names are random chunks of lyrics. Example: Sacarver is taken from “she’s a carver”. All the bishops do follow this rule, all but Nico. There are no lyrics in Stressed Out that make “NICO”.

So the the first time a spotlight was shed on Nico was the cheetah gif with the phrase “U STILL DONT KNOW HIS REAL NAME DO U?” hidden between the letters N I C O in the place of spaces. We still don’t know Nico’s real name.

My two theories are:

1. Nico is hiding his true name for some reason.

2. Nico is replacing an old bishop. (Perhaps he overthrew the previous bishop. Or the old bishop died/stripped of his title and Nico was elected as the new bishop. I don’t know how Dema’s politics work lol)

I am very interested as to why Nico is called out specifically in “Nico And The Niners”. What makes him more significant than the other bishops? The only other bishop that has been name-dropped is Keons. Clancy wrote about Keons in a positive light, and the other eight he considered to be ruthless. (this could be due to Keons brainwashing his personal region or he’s possibly just not as bad of a leader as the other 8.Clancy seems to be too enlightened to believe Keons to be good if he really isn’t)

Nico may be especially ruthless and a bit of a leader among the bishops. (whether he is a new bishop or has been around a long time will be an interesting detail in the story.) That’s why Tyler addresses them as “Nico and The Niners” instead of just The Niners. Nico is leading them in the chase.

I am not sure if the cloaked man in the Jumpsuit video is even a bishop. He appears to be a direct representation of Blurryface. From his black fingers and face paint. The veil literally blurring his face, and of course the red cloak. If he is meant to be Nico (Stressed Out), we could take the line from the song “My name’s Blurryface” and perhaps that is Nico’s true identity?

Probably not, but it’s something to think about. I have gone through all the lyrics of Blurryface and none of the songs explain Nico’s name. So whether Blurryface is just Nico or a combination of all the bishops’ control would be very intriguing. I’m a believer that Tyler doesn’t portray Blurryface, but simply portrays himself “possessed” by Blurryface. So that cloaked figure might be the real Blurryface in the flesh.

Hopefully we can get more lore and letters to satisfy us till October 5th. I absolutely love the way they are telling this story and I can’t wait to read what everyone else has to say. Please add any thoughts you have! I have so many but the puzzle still isn’t complete! (totally call me out if you have plain and simple answers to any of this. I’m dumb and miss things in plain sight.)

I'm going to explain the theory that Jinx is not actually dead

(I know this is long, I promise it's worth it)

This starts in chapter 8 of season two.

We see Jinx in the prision, she's devastated, lost, defeated, and wants things to end. And we see the first interaction she has with the voice of Silco. In this interaction Silco tells Jinx that "killing is a cycle" and that it would continue. But Jinx says she's "done running in circles", meaning: she wants to stop this cycle. To which Silco says:

I'm Going To Explain The Theory That Jinx Is Not Actually Dead

And later, when Vi goes to visit Jinx, and Jinx tricks Vi and escapes the prison. Vi then asks her what she will do, Jinx answers:

And now Jinx knows the way to break the cycle, is by leaving.

Next time we see Jinx is in episode 9. She is still in the same mood as before, and now she cuts most of her hair off and burns The Last Drop

Burning down The Last Drop and letting go of her hair shows this closure. Later, she tries to kill herself, which is her way of "walking away" to "break the cycle".

But then Ekko shows up, saves her, and they go to save Vi and the others together.

At this point, Jinx wants to stop the killing and wants to leave, but she will always want to save Vi ("I'm always with you. Even when we are worlds apart").

But she still wants to break the cycle. She still needs to let go.

So, as she saves Vi from Warwick with the monkey bomb explosion, she escapes and leaves Piltover.

And we get a hint of that in the final scenes of the show when Caitlyn is going through her mother's database. She finds a blueprint of the hexgate tower and finds secret air ducts in the place where the explosion happened.

We also see her holding a part of Jinx's bomb.

And after seeing the blueprint she has this look. Like she's thinking "is it possible she survived?"

And in the very last scene we see one of these things that is flying away from Piltover.

Which reminds me of Season 1 Episode 1:

She has always wanted to ride one of them.

Maybe, this is her new way of walking away, instead of dying.

And the two frames are almost exactly the same, it couldn't not be a reference to that s1 moment.

And I know this theory may sound dumb but, why would they show us Caitlyn looking at those blueprints then? Every scene, every frame in Arcane is carefully designed. The team is very good, they wouldn't just show it for no reason. It wouldn't make sense. Especially because they have only 9 episodes of 40 minutes each (except 9 which has 50) to develop everything that happens in season two. And there are A LOT of things going on, they don't have time to spare. If they chose to show us that, it had a very important meaning.

Also I think it's kinda bad If Jinx just dies, I wouldn't like that ending, at least not like this.

Surviving IKEA

Never enter near closing hours.

Do not mispronounce IKEA product names. What you summon will haunt you.

Do not trust the arrows.

Walls shift and new ones appear out of nowhere.

Avoid, at any cost, staying after closing hours.

Do not ask employees for directions to the exit. Most of them have been trapped inside the building ever since they signed the contract. These once happy and good people have grown spiteful. Do not trust them. They want you to stay.

Make the bed after trying it out. It makes them less angry.

In case you are trapped:

Find John. He has lived in the store for six years, unnoticed.

Avoid eye contact with employees roaming around.

Hide whenever possible.

The ghost families living in the showrooms won’t betray you.

Do not steal any pencils. It will give away your position.

Avoid walking through the bed area. The creatures sleeping there won’t appreciate your presence.

When music from the 30s starts blasting through the speakers, Walter, the handyman, has noticed you and wants to drive his screwdriver through your ear.

Run.

He often shouts jokes chasing you followed by the laughter of IKEA personnel echoing throughout the store. Never let your guard down.

Open as many wardrobes as you can. Some of them are magic portals. Pray that you find one in time before he finds you.

Only go through a portal when absolutely necessary. What you find on the other side is often not pleasant.

If there is no other option, try pronouncing the name of the IKEA furniture closest to you. The ground will start to shake. Prepare yourself for the worst.
