The very first time they finish playing with his daughter's dolls and plushies, Bakugo's heart melts and he can't hold back tears as his little girl approaches him, using sign language to say, "Thank you for playing with me. I love you, Daddy."

The girl is a little scared seeing her dad crying as it is an extremely rare sight. So, she climbs onto his lap, strokes his rough cheeks marked by many scars from the battles he fought, and signs at him, "Daddy, don't cry, I love you. I'll hug you, and it will be okay."

katsuki was supposed to hit the gym today. he really was. but the moment you wrapped yourself around him in bed, all thoughts of training went out the window.

“shit,” he muttered, stretching his arms above his head. “didn’t even work out today.”

you, still groggy but entirely unrepentant, grinned and nuzzled into his neck. “you worked out your patience.”

"yeah? and you worked out my ability to say no.”

you grinned wider. “exactly.”

even after every time he tried to move to adjust himself, you clung to him like a koala, nuzzling into his chest, whining about how warm and comfortable he was. and damn it, how was he supposed to leave when you looked so damn cute?

so yeah, gym? skipped. gains? delayed. but cuddles? so fucking worth it.

now, in the kitchen, katsuki is making up for it. sort of. with you sitting comfortably on his broad shoulders.

he'd already deadlifted you a few times while waiting for the pancake to cook, grumbling half-heartedly when you cheered like he was performing in the olympics.

"you're way too happy about this," he muttered, flipping a pancake with precision despite your weight balanced on his shoulders.

"that's because you're my personal chef now," you teased, playing with the strands of his hair like you were styling them. "and i'm basically remy."

"tch... the rat from ratatouille?"

"yeah!"

he snorted, shaking his head slightly to mess up whatever you were doing. "the hell you are. you ain't cookin’ shit."

"excuse you! i am the mastermind behind this whole operation, thank you very much. you're just my hands."

katsuki rolled his eyes, but he couldn't hide the smirk tugging at his lips. "yeah? then where's my little chef hat, huh?"

you gasped dramatically. "oh my god, we need to get you one!"

"like hell we do," he scoffed, adjusting his grip on your legs as he effortlessly lifted you up again, just because he could. you let out a small squeak, gripping onto his hair, and he chuckled.

"okay, okay, you're strong, we get it," you laughed, ruffling his hair. "now, my strong, muscular, incredibly attractive boyfriend—flip that pancake before it burns."

“i ain't lettin’ you control me," katsuki clicked his tongue but did as you commanded, all while holding you up like you weighed nothing. he should’ve gone to the gym today, sure—but honestly? this was way better.

"i practically do," you tug lightly on his hair, and to your delight, his head moves slightly in the direction you pull.

katsuki freezes. “...did you just try to steer me like a damn car?”

you laugh. “maybe.”

“hmph, you’re lucky i love you,” he mutters, adjusting your weight like it’s nothing. “but if you try to puppet-master me again, i’m droppin’ your ass.”

you grin, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of his head. “i love you too. and no you won’t.”

katsuki sighs, but you feel his shoulders shake with a quiet chuckle. yeah, okay, maybe he won’t.

Hero!Bakugou x Retired!Reader

He was used to this. The floor slightly scuffed where he stood everyday silently after he got back from patrol; completely enamored by you. You; blissfully, unknowingly dancing your heart out in the large home studio you got custom built, jumps in the air, rolls, leaps, breaking. You lived and breathed dance, movement was a part of your soul, and it never failed to completely enthrall him.

The way you moved so effortlessly, completely bending and spinning at speed and angles he couldn’t think of, almost waterlike. Like the river water swirling through rocks, carrying fallen flowers down the stream to a dam of twigs and sticks, the flowers gathering over time; an offering at a shrine, praising you, your beauty.

He won’t lie, sometimes it scared him, after all, nobody he knew could move so fluidly, he would have thought it impossible if not for you. Ever after you retired from your job as a pro hero, he always seemed to be scared for you, for hurting yourself; yet times like this remembered that you were ever so capable in whatever aspect you desired.

Retired. That's right. Once, long ago, Bakugou would have looked you in the eyes and broken up with you just for retiring after injuring yourself; it was unfathomable to his past self that any job apart from being a hero had any worth whatsoever, a waste of time. Yet you had breathed life into him, Captivated and lured him; siren-like. He couldn’t fathom leaving you, and after all his experiences he was grateful to have met you in the cramped UA classroom all those years ago.

He fell for you long before he asked you out, because you just lived. You lived so.. real. So authentic, so much like you were truly favored by the gods. Your work ethic, your empathy, your love; he was forever lucky for you.

You both had fought in the war together, side by side when death seemed inevitable. The both of you holding your heads up high and looking it in the eye as you fought, vowing you would end this war or it would end you.

You also were there for each other, together. He remembers those days, the days when after the war you would both sit in the showers fully clothed, drenched to the bone, your foreheads touching as you cried, laughed, reminisced. It pained him to remember those particular nights, ungodly hours of holding you in his arms as you sobbed in pain from old injuries, insecurity washing through you from your scars, and he remembers when you did the same for him. Just two unfortunate people helping each other through the aftermath of the impossible.

The impossible; what a funny concept. They didn't believe in you until you did do the impossible, but they didn't care after, letting the heroes carry the trauma and burden by themselves, only happy that they didn’t have to live in fear; no fucks about the people who lived the fear.

It never stopped you though. You kept the fire burning in you, decades after the war as you kept fighting and protecting the people of Japan. Until last year that was.

Last year, a particularly brutal villain attack; shattering your arm. You were fine now ofcourse, he wouldn’t accept anything else. But you decided to take yourself out the industry, you had done your part, and now it was your legacy for people to hold themselves up to. That's what you told everyone, but he knew you; you were the love his life, of course he did.

He knew it had to do with the fact that you disliked the industry. Even after everything that you went through, you had seen the truth of the industry and how heroes were treated. He saw how sometimes your eyes would gloss up while patching him up after a particularly rough villain attack, even if he pretended he didn’t. It was quite endearing actually; during the war, you had been so numb to any suffering, you had told him to get the fuck up and fight, you had popped his leg back in, ignoring his pained yells. You, a force to be reckoned with. Angry waves ruthlessly beating the rocks littering the coast. You had done so much for everyone; it wasn’t fair to force you to keep fighting.

That's why he supported you when you decided to retire, why he stood his ground and defended your name in rooms you weren’t in, why he loved you, why he watched you dance every day after patrol in secret.

Well not really. You always noticed him - you had been the top hero for the better of two decades; it would be shameful to your legacy to not know your surroundings. Yet you always stayed silent, putting on a show for Bakugou when he looked especially sad. You knew he was being transported somewhere else everyday while watching you, the way his eyes glazed over, and tears pricked at his waterline. But just like he didn’t mention when you cried you didn't either.

Sometimes you wondered what he thought about. Did he think about the same memory everyday? Or was it something different each time?

It didn’t matter. If him watching you ‘secretly’ doing what made you happy made him happy, you wouldn’t mind indulging him and putting on a show.

omg after reading your last request it made me think of my own. Katsuki x reader who is the older sister in her household. basically on top of the readers hero studies, she has to still be a second mother for her many siblings and is burnt out.

You were supposed to have a nice date with Katsuki, you had been stressed and he said he’d take you out to help you both take a break from hero work and your studies.

you told him to stay outside so you could change real quick but you said that unaware of what was gonna meet you on the other side.

As you walked in and took off your shoes you were greeted by your younger twin brothers Kyo and Tsuyoi wrestling, your little sister Hiyori crying and your angelic baby brother yuro hugging his blanket on the sidelines just watching.

You wanted to cry, the one day you thought you could share with your boyfriend was now ruined. “Hey break it up you two.” You deadplanted grabbing both ten-year-olds by the back of their shirts but that didn’t stop them from trying to throw themselves at each-other.

“He started it y/n!” Kyo yelled pointing to the other boy that looked like a copy. “No it wasn’t!” Tsuyoi defended but you shut them up before they had any other words to throw.

“I don’t care who did what where’s mom?” Looking between the two waiting for an answer. “Shes asleep, she said she needed to take a nap.” Kyo sighed trying to squeeze out of your hold.

You were at a defeat, she worked another night shift at the hospital and you couldn’t just wake her up, but you were gonna have to tell Katsuki you had to cancel.

Walking out the door and shutting it behind you, he raised his gaze confused. “Thought you were gonna change?” He tilted his head, “I can’t suki, I need to watch my siblings. My mom worked the night shift and is taking a nap.” You fidgeted with your fingers trying your best to avoid his look.

“That’s fine? Your siblings love me.” He gave a smug smile. The disappointment you were expecting never came, you were only met by him giving you another solution.

“Are you su-“ the door you were leaning on opened to all your siblings peaking out to see who their sister was talking to.

“Hey it’s Bakugou!” Tsuyoi shouted flinging the door open. “Hey squirt.” He said ruffing the kids hair as he waved to all the rest of your siblings who thought foundly of him.

“See they love me.” He said even smugger than before with a matching smirk. “Hey I wanna show you the new video game I got!” Kyo said grabbing onto his hand dragging him into the house giving him just barely enough time to take off his shoes.

The rest of the night was surprisingly the most relaxed you’d been in a while, all of your hero studies you pushed yourself through no longer crowding your mind and to your shock Katsuki was weirdly good with your siblings.

Despite you having more brothers Katsuki never failed to include your little sister into whatever the boys were doing.

“You surprise me kat.” You whispered trying to not wake the 4 sleeping bodies that were against and on both you and Katsuki. All of you had sat down for a movie and boom they were all fast asleep.

“What do you mean?” He said still managing to have at least an arm wrapped around you.

“You’re so good with them, they don’t even like me that much.” You rolled your eyes with dramatic jealousy. “Dunno, I just want them to think I’m cool I guess.” He shrugged at the confession he thought was obvious.

“That so.. sweet.” You gave him a soft smile and laid your head on his shoulder, doing your best not to wake the sleeping yudo on your lap.

“Thank you, for helping me.” you rub your cheek on him trying to show some affection. “I can’t kiss you so I’m resorting to this don’t think I’m weird.” You tried to defend. “You’re still weird.” He laid his head on top of yours. “Shut up.”
