izuku midoriya has never done anything reckless in his life, in fact, he is the safest person anyone could know.
don’t get me wrong, he will throw down his life to protect people (even though he can’t even pack a punch), but when it comes to day to day lifestyle? he does not play a single thing risky.
which is why when he suggested to sneak into the science lab to carry out some research, your eyes nearly bulged out of your head.
“shush, we are going to get caught!” izuku panicked as he started jotting down observations in his book, some fluid you could not bother to pay attention to when he listed the chemicals he was sloshing together now oozing out of a skinny tube.
“i literally did not even say anything.” you deadpanned, sitting next to him as he kept looking over his shoulder as if he was committing a felony.
“look!” he sudden blurted out, a bright smile warming his face with eyes that were slightly crazed with knowledge, darting around his experimental contraption.
in all honesty, you didn’t even know what you were looking at. you studied maths and while science was slightly up your ally, you did better in a calculation than a scientific observation.
so, you pretended to understand, nodding sweetly and humming, causing izuku to blush furiously as he looked at your gentle smile.
always so understanding, you were.
izuku had always thought you were nothing short of breathtaking, of course, he never said this outloud, with the fear of ruining the friendship, and hell, you both have been friends for a while, even back when katsuki was a big bad bully (not much has changed in your opinion).
regardless, he’s chosen to keep his feelings to himself, a lovely mystery that tormented his heart and his freckled cheeks for every time he looked into the abyss your eyes held, or you helped him with a ridiculous math problem or even when you both walked to the dorms together.
“ah!” you suddenly screamed, frantically moving away from your desk as far back as possible.
“what?! is there a teacher?!” izuku panicking alongside with you, despite his heart of gold, he was a chronic panicker.
“no, even worse, a spider! oh my goodness, it looks.. green?! hell no!” you shouted, ignoring izuku’s desperate pleas to keep quiet and calm.
“it’s fine, i’ll take it out!” izuku reassured, looking around to locate the spider.
‘there!’ he thought to himself as he found it on the corner edge of the desk, placing his hand out while using the other to softly scoop it up.
he smiled to himself as he brought it closer to him, seeing the way your face relaxed and you started walking up to him slowly, gratitude shown explicitly in your expression.
he loved it.
he felt like your protector, provider, like your man.
it was stupid and extremely outdated but he couldn’t help but fall into those uber-clique roles when he fantasises about being with you.
i mean, was it so wrong to want to be your man?
your hero?
just then, he felt a sharp pang from his hand, provoking a sharp shout to escape his lips.
then, a rush started to flow from his palms to all over his body, it felt like his insides were on fire but also slightly cool. it was as if he was injected with lukewarm water that was flushing his veins.
then, it just stopped.
“are you ok?!” you ran to him worriedly, swatting the spider away from him and stomping its poor body as it landed on the ground as you looked into his eyes with care.
is it weird that he loved it?
“i mean, i guess, yeah. it really hurts tho.” izuku dramatically pouted, yet poor little you was too worried to understand that he was simply exaggerating just to experience being doted on by you.
“come on izuku, ill pack up for you and clean you up. you’re so silly, always wanting to help that you forget to take care of yourself.” you cooed.
izuku’s face flushed a bright red as you spoke, feeling your hand caress where the bite was, your soft fingers added warmth to his hot bite.
“y-yea, that would be nice.” izuku shyly smiled.
i guess getting bitten by a spider was worth it, izuku thought to himself as you looped arms with him.
his mind forgot about how the spider was weirdly green, how the bite had abnormal aftereffects and even how his bite marks had traces of green.
he didn’t know it yet, but soon, his only secret won’t just be his overflowing feelings for you.

.𖥔 ݁ ˖ 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: You and Izuku spend the day at an amusement park, riding roller coasters, playing carnival games, and sharing sweet moments. When you both stop for a snack, a simple, unexpected gesture leaves your heart racing faster than any ride.

The bright lights of the amusement park twinkled like stars as laughter and cheerful music filled the air. You and Izuku walked side by side, a comfortable warmth between you despite the cool evening breeze.
“This place is amazing,” you said, looking around at the towering rides and game booths. “I don’t even know where to start!”
Izuku chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “We could start with something easy, like a game? I-I mean, if you want to!”
You nodded eagerly. “Only if you promise to win me a prize, Midoriya.”
His eyes sparkled with determination. “I’ll do my best!”
After a few (adorably failed) attempts at ring toss, Izuku finally managed to win you a small, plush All Might. He handed it to you with a sheepish smile.
“For you,” he said, his face already turning red.
You hugged the plush close, grinning. “It’s perfect.”
As the night went on, you rode every ride you could, from the gentle Ferris wheel to the stomach-flipping roller coasters. When you finally decided to take a break, you stopped by a cotton candy stand.
You ripped off a piece and held it up to Izuku. “Here, try some!”
He hesitated for a second before leaning in and taking a bite from your hand. His lips accidentally brushed against your fingers, and suddenly, the air between you felt warmer than it had all night.
Izuku’s eyes widened, and he quickly covered his mouth with his hand. “S-Sorry! I didn’t mean to—”
You giggled, reaching up to wipe a bit of stray sugar from the corner of his lips. “It’s okay, Izuku. You’re cute when you’re flustered.”
His face turned a deep shade of red, and you swore he looked ready to short-circuit. But instead of pulling away, he smiled—soft and genuine.
“I’m really happy we came here together,” he admitted.
You felt your heart skip a beat as you squeezed the plush All Might in your arms. “Me too.”
As the night ended, you rode the Ferris wheel one last time, watching the city lights in comfortable silence. And when Izuku shyly reached for your hand again, you let him.
It was, without a doubt, the best amusement park trip ever.

It was gloomy that day, the rain had hurtled towards the angry crowd of civilians formed at the front of U.A. Everyone was angry and confused, some felt betrayed and others tricked. They didn’t want him here, fearing for their safety at the thought of the boy with a target on his back. They screamed and yelled, children cried, teachers tried their best to pacify what had started to become a mob.
You thrashed in your mother's arms, a trembling in your lower lip as you tried to claw your way out of the suffocating embrace. "Let go!" You cried, turning to stare at your mother– desperation clouding all rational thoughts in your mind.
“It’s too dangerous! Calm down!” Your mother scolded, fingers trembling against the sleeves of your sweater, trying to hold you as close as possible– out of harm’s way, just as any mother would. Just like she would when you were younger and would waddle into her room clutching your blanket, wiping at the fat tears that rolled down chubby cheeks. She wanted you safe, in her arms, where you couldn’t be harmed by scared citizens protesting for their safety.
But you couldn’t let her. Not this time.
You had to get to Izuku. It repeated like an alarm, loud and insistent as Uraraka’s speech lingered in your ears. You didn’t care if it was dangerous. It didn’t matter to you. As long as you could reach him, touch him, hold him. None of it mattered.
He was probably crying– you know he was. The two of you always held a small knack for knowing when the other was upset, even as children that played in the warm rays of the sun, beaming and giggling happily. “Please! I have to get to him!” You begged, jerking this way and that. “It’s Izuku, mum!”
And then a kid ran past you. He was small and had a red hat, and red sneakers that looked like Izuku’s– a lady cried out after him, “Come back!” You nearly stopped to stare, but you had become acutely aware of the fact your mother had loosened her grip momentarily to look over her shoulder to identify the voice.
That was your opening.
You slipped between her fingers, fleeting like a leaf in the wind, an apology in the back of your mind as you pushed your legs into a sprint. The rain splashed under your thundering feet, droplets hitting the bare skin of your legs, but you didn’t care. It wasn’t a priority right now. He was.
Izuku with his green eyes and unruly hair, with his cute little freckles that you always loved. Izuku with his heart of gold and sweet smile, always ready to lend a helping hand. Izuku, who had stopped your world the day he left that letter on your door, shrouding it in a cloud of darkness.
As you shoved your way through the crowd, your heart squeezed as the sight of him became clearer and clearer to you. He was standing now, fat tears rolling down his freckled cheeks as the kid from earlier and a lady with bunny-like features wrapped their arms around him.
“Izuku!” You had barely a second before his name ripped itself out of your throat in a raw, desperate cry.
His gaze turned up to you, green eyes wide and confused as he registered your presence mere metres away from reaching him. A whispered call of your name fell from his lips, quiet and wavering– more tears streaming down his face.
There was no time to prepare before your body slammed into his, sending him stumbling back a few steps as your arms curled around his shoulders in a tight embrace, squeezing him tight. “Zuku.” You sobbed, fingers curling into the dirty and tattered fabric of his suit. “Oh god, Zuku. I– I didn’t know where you went after I found that letter. I was so worried and then there were the rumours– Are you–”
Another whisper of your name fell from his lips, big hands resting at your waist and pulling you closer. “I– I’m okay. I’m sorry.” God, his voice. It was still so warm even after all he’s facing.
You pulled back, just enough to press your forehead to his, eyes squeezed shut– savouring the feeling of him. “Don’t apologise.” You muttered, tears still roaming down both of your faces. “Just… just stay here.” Don’t go. Stay here with me, where it’s safe. You wanted to say, but you knew his departure was inevitable. He would leave you, again. And you’re not sure he’ll return this time.
So you held him closer, lips inches away from each other as you both soaked in the warmth of the other’s embrace. And for the first time in awhile, it felt like the sun was shining once again.
best friends!

Note: I honestly love how this story turned out other than how it ended as I know that I could've come up with a better ending or even make it longer than it is. But since I was kind of on a time crunch with trying to get it done by today as I worked on it last night, I didn't have the time to make the ending better than what it is.
Anyway, I hope you guys like it and enjoy!
The moment that you realized that your feelings for Izuku Midoriya had changed from liking him as a long-time friend to something more was when he had saved your life while fighting a villain with Super Strength.
You were holding your own against the villain for a good while until you were distracted by the civilians nearby.
That had caused the villain to grab you by the throat and lifting you up into the air.
You struggle against his grip on you, but to no avail.
"Seems like this'll be your final fight, lil hero." the villain chuckles menacingly.
You're about to reply with something snide, only to get interrupted by the villain getting punched in the face, hard.
With the villain not holding you by the throat anymore, you gasp for air as you fall to the ground.
After a moment, you catch your breath, and once you do, you look up to see Izuku standing in front of you in between you and the villain.
"Izuku..." you whisper as you stare up at him.
You saying his name seems to catch his attention as he turns his face so that he's looking back at you.
"(Y/N), you alright?" he asks you, clearly worried.
"Yeah... I'm alright." you respond with a nod just as you see the villain get back up to his feet. "Thank you for that, by the way."
"You're welcome," he says back to you, all the while giving you a smile that makes your heartflutter.
"Well, well, well," the villain says causing both you and Izuku to turn to him again. "if it isn't the future number 1 hero."
"Seems like you were expecting me." Izuku says to him.
"Well, obviously," the villain chuckles, his eyes moving to look from Izuku to you. "I figured you'd come to (H/N)'s rescue like you always seem to."
"Is that so?" Izuku asks and you see his fists clench in anger.
"Well then, you got your wish." he continues as black and green wisps of energy start appearing around him.
"Izuku," you call out. "Let me help you."
"No (Y/N)," he says, his eyes not leaving the villain.
"You need to get those civilians out of here and get them to safety."
"But-" you try and protest, but he cuts you off.
"Just go!" he commands to which you obey all though you don't want to just do nothing against the villain, even though without Izuku getting here when he had, you would've been a goner by now.
You grunt as you get to your feet, your body sore and achy. "Just be careful, alright?" you question as you stare at Izuku's back as he prepares to fight the villain.
"I will, I promise." he nods, his green eyes meeting yours.
With him promising that he'll be alright, you make your way over to the civilians who have been watching nearby, telling them to follow you so that you can lead them to safety, leaving Izuku to take care of the villain.
Izuku’s got your heart, but he’s still too afraid to give you his.
Notes- quirkless au, late teens/early twenties, mentions of of sex, mentions of drinking, angst, hurt no comfort
In a perfect world, you wouldn’t have met Izuku Midoriya at all.
That’s what you tell yourself, wrapped in the soft covers on your bed for the umpteenth night, crying your eyes out
You wish you never met him.
You wish he never looked at you the way he did, like you were something rare, something special. You wish he never kissed you like a promise he never intended to keep. You wish he never held you on those sleepless nights, whispering secrets he swore he never told anyone else.
You wish you never went to that stupid fucking party.
Almost a year ago now, your coworker, Ochako had invited you to a housewarming party for the new apartment she’d gotten with her girlfriend. A casual night, board games, chatter, charcuterie, and the most beautiful pair of green eyes you’d ever seen.
You felt captivated by him, he was beautiful, and so respectful in a way that had you swooning.
You wish you were casual about it. You should have looked away. You should have smiled politely and kept your distance. You should have let him come to you.
But you didn’t. You went to him. That was your first mistake.
You introduced yourself, and he said your name like he was tasting it, like he wanted to remember the way it felt on his tongue. And you let yourself believe—for just a moment—that maybe this was something more than just a fleeting connection at a friend’s party.
Izuku was magnetic, but not in the way you were used to. He wasn’t the loudest person in the room, didn’t demand attention with arrogance or charm. No, he drew you in with his quiet intensity, the way he listened like your words meant something, like you meant something.
And God, you fell so fast.
He asked for your number st the end of the night. You’d giggled about it with Toga and Ochako for hours after the party ended, replaying the moment over and over in your head. The way he had smiled—shy but certain—the way his fingers brushed against yours when he took your phone.
Maybe he’d text you. Maybe he wouldn’t.
But God, you really, really hoped that he would.
He texted you the next afternoon.
Hey, I had a great time talking to you last night. Hope you got home safe—though I wouldn’t mind an excuse to see you again soon.
It wasn’t too much, not overly confident or pushy. But it was enough to make your stomach flip, enough to have you rereading it a few times before finally typing out a response.
From there, it was easy. Conversations that stretched late into the night, playful teasing that made your cheeks warm, moments where he’d say something just suggestive enough to make your heart race—only to follow it up with something sweet that left you wondering if you were imagining it.
Texting turned into lunch, lunch turned into dinner, dinner turned into something more.
Late-night drives, parked somewhere far from the noise of the city, R&B humming through the speakers as you lay side by side beneath the stars.
You remember it vividly—wrapped in blankets, the cool night air nipping at your skin, but the warmth between you keeping the chill at bay. Lingering glances, soft touches, murmured compliments that made your breath hitch. The way his fingers traced idle patterns on your wrist, like he was memorizing the feel of you.
And then—the brush of his lips against yours.
It had been slow, tentative, like he was giving you a chance to pull away. But you didn’t. Of course, you didn’t. And when he finally kissed you—fully, deeply—it felt like the beginning of something.
You told him things you’d never told anyone else. You trusted him.
God, you loved him.
And you knew—you just knew—that he loved you, too. He had to… right?
So you told yourself to be patient.
Because he had told you things too. About his childhood, about nights spent listening to his mother’s quiet sniffles when she thought he was asleep. About how much she had sacrificed, how hard she had worked. He spoke of her with nothing but admiration, and it made you beam, knowing how deeply he loved her.
But you also knew what he didn’t say outright.
He had never seen love done right. Not between parents. Not between partners.
You couldn’t blame him for that.
Maybe he was scared.
Maybe if you waited long enough, if you were soft enough, patient enough—he would see what was right in front of him.
Maybe he would finally choose you.
He never made you question if he wanted you—not at first. He was attentive, thoughtful in a way that made your chest ache. He remembered things you mentioned in passing, sent you pictures of things that reminded him of you. When you were together, he looked at you like you were important.
And maybe that’s why you ignored the signs.
The way he deflected whenever your friends teased about you being his girlfriend. The way he never posted you, never introduced you as anything more than a friend.
The way he kissed you like you were his, but never actually said you were.
And now, almost a year later, you were still just something to him. Never nothing, but never quite enough.
You should have walked away months ago.
But you didn’t. And that was your second mistake.
Still, you let it slide. Again and again.
Because when it was just the two of you, it was easy to believe.Easy to believe that the way he looked at you meant something.
Easy to believe that the soft way he said your name, the way his fingers lingered on your skin, the way he pulled you close when he thought no one was looking—meant something.
The thousands of pictures of you on his phone. The little heart next to your contact. The way he touched you—gentle, reverent—like you were something precious. The way he whispered in your ear, soft and low, moaning your name like a prayer, pressing kisses to your skin between murmured praises. It had to mean something.
Didn’t it?
And then one night, it all came crashing down. A party, a few drinks, a conversation you weren’t supposed to overhear.
“She’s not my girlfriend,” he had laughed, voice light, casual, unbothered. “We’re just… y’know. It’s nothing serious.”
Nothing.
You had stood frozen in place, stomach twisting, head spinning. And that was the moment you finally understood.
He was never scared.. even if he was
He just never planned on choosing you.
All those nights, all those moments—had they only meant something to you?
You wanted to storm out, to scream, to demand an answer. Instead, you turned on your heel and slipped away before anyone could see the way your hands trembled.
You ignored his texts that night. Ignored the calls. Ignored the way your heart clenched every time his name lit up your phone.
But the worst part? You knew it wouldn’t last.
Because no matter how much it hurt, no matter how much you wanted to walk away—
You weren’t ready to let him go.
You kept telling yourself you would stop responding, that you wouldn’t let him back in. You deleted his texts, turned off your notifications, even scrolled past his name when it popped up. But every time, your finger hovered, your heart betraying you, like it always did.
And when you finally caved—when you answered his call a few days later, voice shaky, but determined to be calm—he acted like nothing had happened.
“Hey, you okay? I’ve been thinking about you. Sorry if I was distant the other night. Just been dealing with some stuff, you know?”
Dealing with some stuff?
You wanted to scream. You wanted to ask him how he could say that, how he could act like he hadn’t shattered something inside you with that one offhand comment. But you didn’t.
Instead, you let out a long, shaky breath and said, “Yeah, I’m fine.” And he believed you, of course he did.
You hated yourself for it, but you let him believe it.
Because when he looked at you with those wide, earnest eyes, when he pulled you close like you were everything he needed in that moment, it was impossible to remember why you should walk away.
You were so tired of trying to be strong.
It wasn’t fair. You had given him everything. Your trust, your heart, your time—and all he’d given you in return were moments of fleeting affection. But you couldn’t stop. You couldn’t stop loving him, even when you knew you shouldn’t.
And maybe that was your biggest mistake of all.
A few more weeks passed, and you fell back into the same rhythm, the same cycle. You’d push away, only to let him pull you back in with a soft text or an unexpected visit. Each time, the same promises without words—those lingering glances, those half-smiles, those gentle touches that said you matter to me but never I want you.
It was always on his terms, always when it suited him. He’d reach out when he was bored, when he was lonely, when he needed someone to listen, someone to be there without asking questions. But when it was time to take things further, when it was time for him to actually decide, he pulled away.
It was late one evening when it hit you the hardest. You were sitting on the couch in his apartment, both of you talking about nothing in particular—just the usual casual chatter you’d gotten used to. Then, out of nowhere, he paused, his fingers grazing the back of your hand. “You know,” he said, a soft chuckle escaping him, “I really don’t know what I’d do without you around. You’re like… my safe place.”
His words should have made you feel warm, should have been the affirmation you’d been desperately searching for. But instead, it felt like a dagger to your chest.
A safe place.
Your heart sank. You wanted to ask him why—why you couldn’t be more than just that, why he didn’t want you the way you wanted him. But you didn’t. You never did.
Instead, you swallowed your pain, gave him a tight smile, and muttered, “Yeah, me too.”
That night, you left his place earlier than usual, the familiar weight of disappointment pressing against your chest. You wanted to tell yourself that you were strong enough to let him go, that you deserved more, but each time you thought about it, you felt the pull of him—his warmth, his laugh, the way he made you feel like you were the only person in the room.
But the truth was undeniable: He wasn’t ready for what you wanted. And you weren’t going to keep sacrificing yourself for a version of him that didn’t exist.
So you stayed away. You tried to.
falling back into the rhythm was easier than you’d care to admit, the way he whispered your name, the way his touch still felt like home despite everything. You kept convincing yourself that this time would be different—that he would change, that he would see you, really see you, the way you’d always wanted him to.
But the cracks were still there, even if you ignored them.
The empty promises were still there, buried underneath the soft kisses and late-night conversations. He would kiss you with the same urgency, whispering things in your ear that made your heart race, but when it came time for something more—something real, something lasting—he pulled away. You could feel it in the way he hesitated, the way he’d get distant when things felt too serious.
It wasn’t fair. You knew it. You were supposed to be stronger than this. But each time he came around, you let him back in.
You were lying in his bed, tangled in sheets, and even the quiet stillness between you felt heavy—like it was all just too much to ignore anymore. His fingers traced patterns on your skin, but his touch felt distant, almost absent. You could feel it, like a cold draft in the air, the way something unspoken was hanging between you two.
“Are you okay?” he asked softly, though you could hear the edge of uncertainty in his voice. He was waiting for you to tell him everything was fine. You knew he was.
“No,” you said quietly. “I’m not okay.” “I think we should stop this. You keep doing this, Izuku. You keep pulling me in and then pushing me away, and I’m done pretending like it’s okay.”
He opened his mouth to speak, but you weren’t done. You weren’t going to let him hide behind his words this time.
“11 months. 11 months of this… this back-and-forth, this whatever we’re doing,” you continued, your voice growing stronger, fueled by the hurt and the anger you had buried for so long. “You tell me you want me, you kiss me like I’m the only one, you act like I’m the most important thing in the world—and then you disappear. You tell people it’s not serious, like I don’t matter. Like I’m just temporary.”
His mouth opened and closes then he starts, his voice barely above a whisper, “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“I never wanted to hurt you,” he repeated, as though trying to convince both of you.
“11 months, Izuku,” you spat, voice trembling with both anger and hurt. “11 months of back-and-forth, of you acting like you wanted me. I trusted you. I gave you everything, and you’ve just kept me at arm’s length like I’m some kind of… option. Like I’m just here when it’s convenient for you.”
Izuku’s face fell, guilt flickering in his eyes, but you were too far gone now. Too far from the illusion of him ever being the person you needed him to be.
“Y/n I swear I don’t want to hurt you,” he said, his voice tight with emotion, reaching out to you. His hand hovered near your arm, but you pulled away. “You have to know that. I care about you so much. I really do.”
“You care? You never gave me anything more than sweet words and empty promises. You kissed me like you loved me, like you needed me, but then when it came time for something real, you’d pull away. Every time.”
He grabbed your wrist, his grip soft but firm, desperate. “Please, don’t do this. I don’t want to lose you. I just… I don’t know how to be the person you need me to be. I don’t—”
“What the hell does that even mean? You don’t know how? I’ve been here, trying to be patient, trying to show you that I care. I’ve been fighting for us and for something real, while you’ve been pretending you don’t want it.” Your voice cracked, but you held back the tears. “I gave you everything, and you couldn’t even give me one thing in return.”
He flinched at your words, but you didn’t stop. The dam had broken, and you had no intention of holding back anymore.
Tears threatened to spill, but you held them back, refusing to break down in front of him. “I can’t do this anymore,” you whispered, voice raw. “I can’t keep being your safety net, the person you turn to when you feel like it. I deserve more than this. I deserve someone who doesn’t just talk about wanting me, but shows me.”
“Maybe I’ve been stupid. Maybe I’ve been trying to make something out of nothing because I thought you might change. But I’m done. I’m done letting you play with my feelings.”
You stood up, grabbing your clothes, your hands shaking as you tried to keep it together. “I’m done with this. I’m done with you.”
Izuku sat up, clearly struggling to find the words to fix it, but you couldn’t stay. Not anymore. You gave him one last look, shaking your head. “Goodbye, Izuku.”
And this time, you walked out, not looking back.
You wouldn’t make the same mistake again.
A/n- I just wanted to write for Izuku differently.. I like to think that boy knows nothing about love and its foolish tendencies! he does not have positive examples of romantic love! No I’m not projecting a personal experience! Shut up!

You’d been driving around in your black car, dressed in your black blazer with your white button up and tie. Your radio had been very quiet recently, and with the new number one hero, it wasn’t surprising.
Your stoic expression remained that way, even with the peace that settled over your area, your features stayed stern.
You were enjoying the quiet, and the sunset. You glanced out your window, your mind racing with several thoughts as you did so.
Your moment was cut short, however, when your radio went off.
“Lieutenant L/n, there’s been a homicide. Can you meet on 32’nd street ‘n Ridge? Pro hero Deku called it in.”
A sigh left you as you grabbed your radio, responding with your firm and tired voice “I’ll be there. I’m in the area” you sighed as you put your radio on its hook on your dash.
Annoyance twitched at your eye and you grabbed your pack of cigarettes laying on the center console “of fuckin course he did” you mutterwd as you put a cigarette between your lips and grabbed a lighter, sparking the flame to light your cigarette.
.~•*
It didn’t take long before you pulled up on the scene. Cop cars and pro heros littering the yard with ‘CRIME SCENE’ tape lining the perimeter.
You stepped out of your car with your cigarette between your lips. You took a long drag, savoring the burn of the nicotine against the back of your throat.
Your shoes meet the grass as you walk up to a group of officers and the damn hero himself. Ignoring the bitterness for the mop of green hair and tall physique, you turn to the officers.
“What’s it looking like?” You mutter, placing your pack of cigarettes in the inside pocket of your blazer.
The officer sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. By her distraught appearance. You can tell she’s a rookie. “U-uh..I-it’s a kid..ma’am” she manages to choke out over the nausea in her throat.
Your expression remains the same, but you feel a sickening anger in your stomach. “Right.” You turned to Deku, your expression stoic as you removed your cigarette from your lips. “And you called it in?”
Deku’s expression was tense, a bit distraught, like the officers. “Yeah. I responded to the call from my agency, but by the time I got here, the perpetrator was actively leaving. His quirk let him get away..” he gave a tentative nod to finish his statement, trying not to seem as down as he felt.
You sighed, cigarette smoke leaving your mouth and nose “right. So you didn’t get here fast enough?”
Your comment caught Izuku off guard. His shoulders stiffened and he opened and shut his mouth for a second, before his shoulders slouched and he looked down “No, I didn’t, lieutenant.”
You hadn’t meant to snap at the pro hero, much less the number one, but when there was the death of a minor you were dealing with, it made you more irritable than you already were.
You sighed and turned “alright, whatever. ‘M goin in.”
“Hold on a minute, Y/n” you heard a gruff, familiar voice speak to you. You almost groaned out loud as that chuckle approached “Now’s not the time, chief.” You turned to view the chief of police, Saiko.
Saiko smiled at you, he’d given you a lot of training before you decided on homicide for your field. He was almost a father figure to you. “You haven’t even heard what I have to say, not very different than how you were as a rookie.”
His electric blue eyes rested on you, and you finally turned to look at him. He was a tall, broad shouldered man with deep brown hair and bright blue eyes, worn slightly by time but with an old man’s humor in them.
You sighed and flicked the ashes off of the tip of your cigarette “yeah well, I’ve definitely got the head on my shoulders to warrant such actions” you commented, not really serious.
Saiko chuckled gruffly “Cmon kid. I need you to hear me out on this. Deku here said he saw the perp, you need him.” He said as he placed a hand on Izuku’s shoulder, who’d been standing there awkwardly, very much sensing your animosity towards him.
Your eyes widened ever so slightly “What? You want him to help me?” You asked incredulously, almost dropping your cigarette.
Saiko only nodded, grinning with his scruffy mustache “that’s exactly what I’m saying.”
The three of you stayed in silence before you opened your mouth to protest, however you were quickly shut down by Saiko’s warning look.
You clammed your mouth shut and gritted your teeth together. Great. Now you had to work with the big crybaby of a number one hero. Lucky you.
“Fine.” You mutterwd as you grabbed Izuku by his arm “Cmon Deku.”
Izuku stumbled as the two of you walked into the house. His stomach churned with the smell of blood in the air.
The two of you walked through the house, your cigarette sligjtly masking the smell of blood and stale dust. The house was messy as all hell, clothes, food, furniture, news paper- it was all strewn about like a hurricane had gone through the whole damn house.
Your eyes flitted about the room, and Izuku cleared his throat “s-so uhm..Mrs. L/n, ri-?”
“Ms.” You corrected sharply “and its Lieutenant to you. Or detective.”
Izuku stiffened, correcting his posture as you napped at him. He felt a bead of nervous sweat prick his forehead. He cleared his throat and nodded “Lieutenant L/n” he mumbled.
You sighed and shook you head before turning to walk down a hallway.
This was gonna be hell.
Some weeks later .~•*
It had been roughly a few weeks since you and Deku began working the homicide case Saiko put you two on.
It hadn’t been as bad as you thought. It wasn’t great by any means, but it definitely could have been worse.
You and Izuku often met in quiet diners or ended up in your car, looking over evidence and going over suspects and family of the victim. He was even there for some interrogations, acting as an intimidating figure.
The case was moving along as it should, collecting tips and information and going over everything throughly.
However, what you didn’t know, was how amazing Izuku was with you. You were beautiful. So strong and intelligent with a stoic demeanor that made his heart flip in his chest.
He knew it was stupidly since you had some weird thing against him, but he couldn’t help it! I mean, had you even seen yourself!?
He saw how hard you were working to solve this case. The bags under your eyes giving you away, and it did worry him. How could your mind stay so sharp if you were always so tired?
Today, the two of you were going to spend an entire day together. Izuku’s heart raced at the prospect. He shook his head as he stood in line at the coffee place, his cap on along with his glasses, with his head tucked down so no one recognized him.
Izuku grabbed two coffees, leaving and getting in his car. He places the cups in the cup holders and drove out of the parking lot.
As he drove, he thought. It wasn’t just you that was propelling him every day. He wanted justice for the victim. Izuku had always had a very strong sense of justice for what he thought- no- knew was right.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened as he thought about the girl whose blood had been shed and he frowned.
The two of you were going to solve this case.
.~•*
Izuku walked into the police station, a small smile on his face as he warmly greeted the officers. “Y/n is in her office” one of the officers called, making Izukus cheeks flush as he smiled “great! Thank you!”
He walked down the hall, before spotting your open door. Izuku lightly knocked and peeped his head in the door. “Hey” he greeted softly.
You looked up, cigarette in one hand and files in the other “Deku.” You greeted with a nod. Your eyes eventually landed on the coffee cups in his hands and you raised a brow.
Izuku looked down at his hands before brightening “oh! I brought you coffee! I hope you like it!” He walked over and placed one of the cups on your desk.
You looked at the coffee with slightly raised brows. He thought of you? You looked up at him before taking the coffee “thank you” you mutterwd before sipping on it.
Izuku waved off your thanks, muttering something under his breath shyly. Internally, his heart was racing. You hadn’t given him any sass or a bad attitude like you usually did! Was this progress?
You glanced up at his face and sighed “Sit”
Maybe a little progress?
Izuku nodded and quickly sat in front of your desk, to which you sighed “not there, how are you gonna read files like that?” You muttered. You gestured to the spot next to you “over here”
Izuku’s eyes widened and he felt an embarrassment crawl up his cheeks in the form of a blush. “Oh- right- sorry” he quickly scooted over to you, moving his chair to sit next to yours.
His heart fluttered a bit as your cologne hit his nose. It wasn’t perfume, it was cologne. Musky with a hint of citrus.
You began to talk about some potential suspects, gesturing to different pictures. He nodded along, trying his best to focus, but his eyes did flick over to your lips every once in a while.
You glanced over, your lips parted as you locked eyes with him. Izuku hadn’t realized how much he’d been leaning in until he saw how close your lips were to touching his.
The both of you lingered, before you looked away and he leaned out of your space “sorry! Sorry-“ he quickly stuttered, fully expecting you to snap at him.
You however, sipped your coffee and blushed a little, hiding it from his gaze as you looked away “it’s fine.” You mumbled, feeling a bit docile today.
Huh..
Weird.
.~•*
Later that day, the two of you were driving in your car. You had Izukus window down a bit, and your elbow on the lip of your car door. Your slender fingers on the wheel as you drove.
“I think we’re on the right track. Just like with-“ your speech was cut off by a stomach growling. You looked over to Izuku, who was red in the face.
“Oh- crap-“ he chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, and you didn’t know if it was his sheepish rambling he did after his realization, or if you were just in a good mood, but you glanced over at him, not only did you smile a little, but you laughed.
His eyes widened at your chuckle, and his heart pounded in his chest.
He’d never seen you smile before.
Never heard you laugh before.
But he could really get used to that sound.
.~•*
Time seemed to fly by, and day by day, you warmed up to Izuku, even regarding him as ‘Midoriya’ every once in a while. The two of you had grown further in the case as well, and you were so close to solving it. You’d narrowed down the list of suspects to 2 men, and the evidence was wracking up.
You and Izuku had been busting your asses to solve this case, and things were going smoothly despite the setbacks- and there were a few.
Both of you started to spend more time together, grabbing dinner, lunch or coffee more often. You really lightened up to Izuku, and he you. Except, you kept getting this weird pulling feeling when you were around him.
You didn’t understand it, he just looked so different to you know. His sense of justice and determination to solve the homicide on your hands, his curls, his laugh, smile, his boyish cheeks with freckles and dimples..
What was this feeling..?
.~•*
As of now, it was dark, the two of you in your car parked in the parking lot of a closed down gas station. You each had take out in your laps. You were telling some random story from high school, the window open as you smoked lazily with your cigarette.
“Christ- yeah. His name was Danny, and he was a total ass.” You chuckled, a sound Izuku could never get enough of.
He smiled and laughed a bit, some rice stuffed in one of his cheeks “yeah! With what you told me, he sounds like it!” Izuku agreed with a bit of a mouthful.
You gave him a look and snorted before rolling your eyes “Christ, swallow your food.” You glanced at the sauce on his lip and sighed “you’re so messy”
He blushed and quickly wiped his jaw, chuckling after he swallowed his bite of rice. “Ah! Sorry!” He smiled sheepishly. Damn that boyish smile and his stupid cute curls and-
You shook away those thoughts before sighing.
Izuku hummed before smiling softly down at his take out that you bought his mind pacing in his head as he tried to think of what to say. “Thanks for buying dinner, lieutenant-”
“Y/n”
Izuku blinked as he stared at you for a second “e-excuse me?” He mumbled, his brain a bit lost. Were you correcting him?
“Just call me Y/n.” You said calmly, though your hands were clammy. Your eyes glanced over to Izuku. He was red in the face and smiling softly.
“Got it..Y/n” he murmured to you with a gentle tone.
You looked over at him, and he looked over at you.
The streets were silent..
The world seemed to stop as the two of you gazed into each other’s eyes.
Izuku placed his elbow on the center console and leaned in closer. You followed suit, not in control of your actions as you cupped his cheeks and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.
You and Izuku stayed in that kiss for a moment, his hands coming up to gently cup your cheeks.
As your lips parted, your eyes slowly fluttered open and your hands gently moved down to his neck.
The two of you just sat there, before you looked away from him. “Sorry..I don’t know what came over me” you muttered, to which Izuku shook his head and smiled softly down at you “d-don’t apologize.”
You glanced at him, before the two of you pulled away.
Oh boy..
More months later.~•*
Since the kiss in the car, the two of you had been less professional outside of work. Using first names and being a bit affectionate with your words and actions.
That wasn’t all of the good that had began to come from him..
.~•*
You had been in the courtroom with Izuku and the rest of the prosecution team. It’d been months since the two of you had been paired together for this case, and now you were sitting in the courtroom about to convict the two men who took a life of a teen girl.
You were tense, Izuku noticed. You’d been so worried about gathering the evidence, organizing everything perfectly to lock them up for life with no possibility of parole. You’d been smoking so much more recently.
He gently placed his hand on your bouncing knee, making you look at him and his soft smile.
You sighed softly and looked up as the judge and jury came back to the room.
The judge sat down and let out a sigh. After a bit of talk, he cut to the chase.
“For the murder of Sakiea Kento, the two of you will be serving each a life sentence, along with 37 years for destruction with evidence, with no possibility of parole.”
A weight lifted off of your chest and you smiled softly, clapping with everyone else in the courtroom.
Izuku smiled and gently gripped your knee “you did it.” He whispered over to you.
You simply chucjled and shook your head, standing with the rest of the crowd and Izuku. “We did it” you corrected.
He smiled softly, his chest swelling with affection and relief.
They brought justice to the victim.
.~•*
The police station was holding a party to celebrate the long case coming to an end. Izuku however, couldn’t find you anywhere.
He stepped out onto the roof and hummed softly as he saw you standing there. “Y/n..?”He called out.
You looked over and sighed, fatigue and something else in your eyes “Midoriya. You should be down with the others.” You mumbled.
Izuku rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly “ditto. So what are you doing up here?” He walked over to you and leaned against the railing next to you.
“Thinking” you replied softly, your hair fluttering gently in the breeze as you spoke. “About the girl…I wish there was more I could do.” You admitted.
Izuku nodded and rubbed his arm “you did everything you could. You couldn’t prevent her from being killed..but you brought her justice..that’s all that matters in the end.”
You glanced over at him with a tired look “she was a child” you muttered, a tear slowly welling in your eye.
Izuku stiffened before cupping your cheek “hey- hey hey hey- don’t cry..” he thumbed away your tears with his calloused fingers, sighing softly.
You let out a shaky breath and looked up at him.
Your eyes told hin everything. He leaned down and softly kissed your lips.
You gently cupped Izukus cheeks and let out a soft sigh into your kiss, a soft hum of pleasure leaving her throat.
Once the two of you broke from you kiss, you smiled. You turned and looked away from his face, before pulling back. “Damn you and your lips.” You muttered.
He smiled as he watched you grab your pack of cigarettes. He put his hand over yours “you should try and quit smoking, you know.”
You glanced down at his hand, then at the cigarettes. A warm feeling rose in your chest as you sighed and smiled.
“Yeah..you’re right.”

the first time Izuku meets you, he's so nervous he can barely speak, stuttering and fidgeting as he tries to introduce himself.
you catch his eye during training, and he notices how effortlessly you handle your quirk, making him instantly admire your skills.
his heart races when you ask for help with a training exercise, and he takes the opportunity to geek out about hero tactics and strategies, revealing his passionate side.
izuku can't help but doodle about you in his notebook, sketching little scenes of you both saving the day together.
he gets flustered whenever you compliment him or praise his progress, cheeks turning a deep shade of red as he tries to downplay his achievements.
whenever you’re around, he subconsciously activates his quirk a little harder, wanting to impress you with his newfound strength.
You end up as partners in a training simulation, and he panics, but ends up being surprisingly effective under pressure, showcasing how well he can think on his feet with you by his side.
as time goes on, izuku finds himself crushing hard on you, feeling the excitement but also the pressure of his feelings, especially since you're both training to be heroes.
he starts to notice the little things—how you laugh, your determination in battles, and how you encourage your classmates during difficult times, making his heart flutter.
rhe more time he spends with you, the more he admires your bravery and dedication, leading to moments where he can't help but cheer for you during your training sessions.
he tries to find excuses to spend time with you outside of training, suggesting study sessions or helping you with your quirk, while secretly hoping you'll see him as more than just a friend.
one day, he accidentally slips up and admits how inspiring he finds you, leading to a series of blushing and stammering as he realizes what he’s just said.
after saving you from a dangerous situation during a training exercise, he realizes just how much he cares about you, leaving him flustered and unsure how to express his feelings.
he begins to draw little comics about you two, showcasing both of your heroic adventures, using them as a way to cope with his growing crush.
once you both confess your feelings, izuku becomes the sweetest boyfriend, constantly checking in on you, making sure you’re okay after training, and encouraging you to reach your goals.
he always wants to share his notes with you, discussing new strategies for hero work, making it feel like you’re a team both in and out of the classroom.
dates often involve casual outings where he awkwardly tries to impress you—whether it's at a café or a hero training facility—but he ends up just being himself, which you adore.
he still gets flustered whenever you compliment him, but he starts to learn to accept your praise, making him feel more confident as your partner.
during fights, he’s always on high alert when you’re around, ready to use his quirk to protect you, often shouting, “don’t worry, I’ll save you!” even if you’re perfectly capable of defending yourself.
he loves planning surprise training sessions just for the two of you, using it as a way to bond and grow together while also being productive heroes.
late-night study sessions turn into moments of shared laughter and deep conversations, where he feels comfortable enough to share his dreams of being a hero by your side.

give this man to me rn i'm so srs
☆Cw: one use of "her", Mina calls you girl once, embarrassment, fluff, humor, rookie!prohero!deku
"Izuku, dude, no offense, but how did you land that?"
Izuku turns to Denki, looking just as lost as he does. There's a little flush on his cheeks and a wide eyed expression on his face. The boy looks like a confused baby dear, which truly only adds to Denki's confusion.
"Your guess is as good as mine."
"Teach me your ways." Denki says, comically whipping out a notepad from his pants pocket. "Did you grovel? Cry? Feed her a love potion but disguise it as juice so that she would drink it, but have no clue what it was?"
"N-No of course not!... And I'm pretty sure that would be illegal anyway..."
Denki shrugs, "Hey I don't know your life. You could be into some weird shit on the down low, you seem the type!"
Izuku responds with an eye roll. If anyone 'seems the type' it's Mineta and Denki himself. They turn back towards you instead of continuing the conversation. You're still in the same position you were in before; fully leaned over the back of the couch, legs closed with one slightly hanging in the air, while the rest of you is inside Mina's personal space giggling at something she's showing you on her phone.
You're in some cute little outfit that Izuku helped you pick out, a rare case, since Izuku still wears almost exclusively punny t-shirts and sweats. The only reason he helped is because it's your first time meeting his friends and former classmates, you just wanted to make sure the outfit wasn't too little or too much. This is not to say he was much help.
Izuku feels almost entranced by you, and you're not even looking at him. You haven't glanced his way since Mina took your attention, actually. Izuku could start pouting if he wasn't too busy ogling your backside. He's so busy he misses the picture Denki snaps at the enraptured look on his face.
"C'mon man, let's go raid the snacks before Kaachan forces us to leave the kitchen."
Denki's arm around Izuku's shoulder shakes him out of his stupor and he nods in agreement, not really having heard what he said at all. He allows Denki to lead him to the kitchen with only minimal glancing behind his back, just to get a little more time to soak in your image.
But he doesn't expect your eyes to catch. He has no time to prepare for the heat in his pink cheeks to spread to his ears, no time to prepare for your smile to make his heart thump in his chest. It makes him lightly stumble in his steps and turn to face forward again, feeling incredibly embarrassed.
"Oh, Izu! Can you come back for just a sec?"
Izuku breaks out of Denki's hold with not a single lick of hesitation, embarrassment be damned. His world shortens and zooms in when you talk, the feeling of embarrassment, as well as Denki's voice, becomes muffled in the face of it. None of that matters if you're the one who needs him.
"Look at this picture Mina has of you!"
It's the picture All Might took of him before he bulked up. The one where he's dirty and sweating and crying after trying to haul a fridge across a beach. Izuku thinks he might die. Where did she even get that picture?
His face must say a lot, because both you and Mina burst out laughing. You're trying to reassure him, but you're laughing so hard you're struggling to gain a breath to string words together. If the floor swallowed Izuku whole right now, he would be grateful. It was a terrible idea to bring you to meet his classmates, especially a gossip like Mina.
"Oh, baby no, don't look like that!" You gasp, placing a hand on his shoulder. It's not nearly as comforting as you're trying to make it be.
"Izuku you look like a total loser, good thing you gained some muscle there, pipsqueak!" Mina chortles.
"Oh stop it! He doesn't look like a... Loser... I think it's cute!"
"Keep telling yourself that!"
Izuku has never considered the merits of getting hit by a bus before, now is a better time than ever to start.
Your arms wrap around him, and he instinctually hugs you back. You press your still smiling face into his chest, and turn towards Mina, still a little breathless.
"It's okay Izuku, I'll protect you from Mina's mean words." You giggle.
Mina is quick to start booing you, but Izuku doesn't miss the picture of him being sent to an unsaved number in her phone. Oh she's going to get it next time they spare together, and he will make absolutely sure it is soon. She doesn't get to run away from the enemy she has created today.
"Whose side are you even on, girl?" Mina huffs playfully, turning back to her phone and sitting back down on the couch.
The party goes smoothly after that, mostly because Izuku doesn't leave your side for the rest of the night. He refuses to let any of his other classmates show you blackmail. Even when you go to the bathroom he stands right outside the door, waiting for you to come back. At one point during the night Katsuki told him he looks like a stray puppy, and before he could deny it, you responded, "it's cute, part of his charm". He elected to ignore the way it made his chest puff out.
He likes to believe you think of him less as a puppy and more of a guard dog. He will not be confirming or denying this with you.
Before long, the party is over. Despite the little mishap with Mina earlier, he's satisfied. You were both fed well, and you very clearly had a good time with his friends, so he considers the night a success. He knew that you'd been nervous about the whole thing, his reassurances hadn't done much to sway you, but you had a great time. Just like he said you would.
As he's pulling the car out of the driveway, you turn to him, a mischievous smile spread across your face. Izuku hopes you don't notice how heavily he swallows when you look at him, your expression is making him nervous.
"Mina sent me that picture of you."
The car lurches as he slams on the brakes. "She gave you her phone number?! Noo she's gonna show you how much of a loser I am!" He whines, putting his head into the steering wheel.
"Izu, my love, you are a bonafide prohero who's about to hit the top 30 barely two years out of highschool, you are not a loser."
Izuku turns to you with a wobbly smile, forehead still lying on the steering wheel. "U-Uhm no, I totally am. Hero work aside."
You giggle, his heart stutters again.
"Well you're my loser then."
"Yours?" Izuku flushes.
"Mine."
And well, being a loser isn't so bad if it means he gets to be yours. Your boyfriend. Your guard dog. Your puppy. Your loser. Your anything. He can be anything, as long as he's yours.
Love men who are losers and very smitten for their sweethearts, what can I say

Izuku is completely back in business now…. Which is lovely, really… but you really miss having him around all day; drawing without him judging every single shade of yellow in All Might’s costume is just way too boring.
“When are you coming home?” You moan into the phone, as you stare at your boyfriend through the screen because of course you are video calling, even though you’ve seen each other just a few hours ago.
“Well, I’ll be really late today…” Izuku mumbles as he shoves the rest of his bento into his mouth. There is something really cute about the way he speaks with his mouth full, his two cheeks poking out like a little hamster’s as he tries to make a sentence. It’s disgusting and also… really domestic.
“Stop talking with food in your mouth, you fucking weirdo!” Katsuki yells in the background, his mouth also full with food by the sound of it. Eijirou giggles somewhere. Izuku rolls his eyes.
“But… I’m on holiday from tomorrow!” He smiles cheekily as you gawk at him.
“What?!”
“Hey, it was supposed to be a surprise! But you looked so sad I had to tell you now!”
“You are not leaving until your paperwork is done.” Katsuki sits down next to Izuku like he belongs there. Sometimes it feels like Izuku and Katsuki are a package deal and you are actually dating them both. Katsuki does not understand the word ‘privacy’. Also, Eijirou and Katsuki also comes as a package deal. So now you have a handsome, massive redhead staring at your tired face as well. Great. “My secretary has been bugging me for two weeks because you jump out of the window every time she knocks.
“I hate paperwork.” Izuku mutters.
“No, you don’t.” It’s Katsuki’s turn to roll his eyes now. “You love paperwork too much and you end up word-vomiting for hours and hours until the sun comes up the next day, but every time you do that your Sweets yells at you hence you hate doing them now.”
“Wow. You really do know me well.” Izuku looks at Katsuki with such wonder you almost get jealous. Then a lightbulb switches on in your brain.
“Actually, I’m kinda bored being at home.” You admit sheepishly. “Mind if I come over and do my work in your office? I really-really need to get out of here. I don’t mind sleeping on the office sofa tonight.” You sigh, utterly bored out of your mind.
“As you two like to live in each other’s fucking asshole twenty four seven, I guess the small size of the sofa won’t be a problem.” Katsuki gives Izuku a shit eating grin. Izuku gives him a side eye.
“Keep teasing me and your new cleaner will surely be traumatized when she sees the naughty state of YOUR office sofa…” Izuku keeps the eye contact with him, fired up, and he doesn’t even flinch when Katsuki smacks him on the head.
“Do anything inappropriate in my office and you are both dead. I’m really good at torturing, you know. Too good, actually.” Katsuki looks feral so you decide to step in before these two boys kill each other.
“Okay Katsuki, I get it, no doing the cheeky in the office, can I fucking come or not?!” You yell, half standing already. You are so ready to get out of this flat…
… so in an hour, you end up on Izuku’s office sofa. The sun goes down, the sound of the other heroes and staff members disappear.
Izuku is a different person here, in his personal workspace, illuminated by the shine of the moon and the artificial light coming from his laptop. He sits by the window and types and types and types, small wrinkles appearing on his forehead as he tries to recall every single detail of his last fight. He looks tired, fed up with the words, with all those minuscule details, but still, there is a weird happiness in his posture, like he knows that the reason he’s even able to be annoyed and fed up with this is a blessing; he could still be quirkless, he could have died when he was only 15, in the war that took so many, he could have died just a few months ago during that attack that ended his career for a while, yet here he is, tired and angry, angry at words instead of being angry at himself for not being good enough to make it as a hero. As tiring as it is, this is everything Izuku had ever wanted; being a hero and being someone’s number one. He is both, right now in this office that’s a bit too cold for it to be comfortable yet somehow his heart is warm, his soul content.
You should freak out by the fact how much you know this man in front of you; how a single glance can tell you a book worth of tales about how the other feels, how you can tell Izuku is thirsty from the way he keeps licking his lips and looking sideways, staring at the empty cup with want, how you can tell Izuku wants nothing but to be over with this so he can cuddle up next to you and exchange soft kisses until your tiny, content gasps became soft snores, how he craves to be with you right now but the fact that you are even in the same room as he fills him with so much joy he can barely contain it…
You smile to yourself under the comfy blanket Izuku has given you; you look like a sack of potatoes but a really cute one at that. You take a deep breath and push yourself up to refill that wretched cup before Izuku passes out of dehydration.
The office is silent; there is no music playing, no background noise, only some cars speeding past once in a while but somehow the silence isn’t uncomfortable; it feels right, like you are meant to be here, right by your lover’s side as he works into the night, clearly far away from the end of it. You could take your iPad out and draw; you could finish that silly fanfiction you started about pro hero Deku being your roommate but this silence is gold and you don’t want to ruin it by letting your mind go somewhere else instead of living in this moment, in this peace, in this perfect silence that makes you want to kneel down and put a ring on his finger, right here, right now, while his tired face is illuminated by that stupid blue light coming from his work laptop.
He is the one. You’ve never been more sure of anything. He is the person you’ll marry one day. He is the person you’ll drink tea with once you both get too old to do anything else with your spare time. It’s his hand you’ll take when the most important person comes for you to take you to heaven, hand in hand, fingers interlaced.
You’ll never touch another hand this way. Nothing will ever feel so right than being his second half.
Izuku drinks the water in one go. He doesn’t say thank you, doesn’t say anything, hell, he doesn’t even look at you as he stands up from his chair and makes his way to the sofa.
Normally, you would ask what’s wrong, but… you know him well enough to know there is nothing wrong at all, it’s quite the opposite; Izuku is as comfortable as he can be, he’s happy and sated albeit a little tired and probably has a plan to make this night even better.
Izuku pulls the sofa without a single word; it opens up into a small, cozy double bed. He shuts down his laptop and pulls out several other blankets and pillows from the in-built dresser on the side. He cuddles into the far corner of the sofa, one hand propped up on the arm, opens his phone and keeps typing. You stand in the middle of the room, a little bit disoriented from all the sudden movement, but after a few seconds you smile to yourself as you crawl into your perfect boyfriend’s arm, head resting on those solid but surprisingly comfortable pecks you love so much. You cover the both of you with the blankets, you snuggle into him like a baby koala and you both make a contented sigh, right at the same time.
You stay silent for a few more minutes, or maybe hours, you are not really sure but at one point, you can’t keep all these bubbling feelings inside and you explode; the words come out without a filter and while you probably should feel a little bit ashamed for not being able to contain yourself, in reality, saying it out wasn’t even necessary as your touch, the way you smile, the way your whole face lights up when you are with him says it all anyway; every day, every hour, every minute it’s written your face, your want, your dream, your plans…
You are just stating the obvious.
“I can’t wait to marry you, Izuku.” You mumble with zero shame, half asleep in those hard working, warm arms. “Having you is already a dream but I’m selfish. I want to be called the same name as you are. I want to become a part of you in every single way. I want to gnaw a heart shaped hole into your soul and make sure no one else but me can fit in it.”
Izuku doesn’t say anything. He keeps typing, with this stupid, lovesick smile on his face, a knowing, secretive smile that means no good but really, it’s probably something really fucking good because this man can not do anything wrong anymore when it comes to you, so you know whatever is in his head right now, whatever he’s hiding, it will all make sense eventually and will make butterflies erupt in your chest when the right time comes.
Izuku did not have to say a single word for you to know he feels the same way. It’s all written on his face and in the way his one arm tightens around you possessively.
“Once I feel worthy enough… I’ll make your dream come true.” He puts his phone down for a second to press his forehead into yours. “I’ll make you the happiest woman in this whole wide world.”
“You can’t.” You state confidently. “You can’t, because I already am.” You mumble as you close your eyes and drift off from all the warmth, in and out.
Izuku leaves a big smooch on your forehead then leans on the arm of the sofa once again.
“Good night, Sweets.”
The world becomes dark, but not uncomfortably so; because you know that even in the darkness, there is an arm around your waist, leading you towards a new kind of happiness you can’t even phantom yet.
As boring as today was, you’ll never forget this day; because today is the day when it finally clicks that you’ve made it to the right path; there is no right nor wrong from here, just one single road with no obstacles, a straight line leading to paradise… this moment, right here, right now… is what you can truly call “home”.
~•🥦•~
A few days later
“Izuku, what is this parcel and why are you shaking like a leaf?!” You gawk at your boyfriend who’s sitting on the floor right now, half fucking naked, in his favorite pajama pants - obviously All Might themed and super soft to the touch - clawing at the small parcel with utter joy and some weird … joyous anxiety. If that’s even a thing. Apparently, it is.
“Oh, you’ll love this.” Izuku beams, then becomes downright lethargic. “At least I hope. I kinda got carried away already, it will break my heart if you don’t allow me to do this.”
You can’t help but laugh.
“Izu, I’m not your mother… does your mother know?” You ask with utter entertainment in your voice.
“My mom… would not allow it.” Izuku blushes like a child who’s been caught in the middle of a cheeky act. “She’ll need to deal with it.”
“Is this your first time rebelling against her?”
You giggle. Oh my god, Izuku is such a sweet guy, honest to god. He’s closer to 30 than to 20 yet he genuinely feels guilty. Oh, you love this man.
“If you don’t count my vigilante days, yes, it is.” He admits sheepishly.
The parcel opens. Inside, there a few pine green boxes inside. No name, no hints of their true nature, just boxes. Izuku opens one of them. Your eyes jump out of their sockets.
“Izuku, why did you get a ridiculous amount of… nipple shields?!”
“They are not just nipple shields! Look!” Izuku ushers you closer so you sit down next to him on the floor.
Taking a closer look, it really doesn’t look like a normal nipple shield. (Not like you’ve seen too many of them during your life.) As usual, there is a bump in the middle for the nipple, but on the two sides, there are two more empty hills. It’s also rock solid. There is a single, tiny button on the right side. You push the button like an idiot while the weird device rests in your palms and…
Now it’s stuck to you. Completely. You try to shake it off; nothing. You try to pull it away; nothing. Izuku is laying on the floor, rolling back and forth from the aggressive laughter that erupts from him. You are quite sure you look like that cat from that meme, where the interviewer asks him if he knows he’s a cat.
“Can you stop laughing your ass off and tell me what the actual hell is this?!”
Izuku blushes. Deeply.
“Uhm… they are nipple shields… because uhm…” He is about to explode. His face is red, there is smoke coming out of his ears… oh boy. “I might, or might not have an appointment to get my nipples pierced today…”
Reader’s thought get a little bit dirty here. Just a heads up
Izuku. With nipple piercings. Those beautiful pecks, nice and full and so so comfortable… those beautiful little buds, two small dots of jewelry shimmering in the moonlight on the two sides, gorgeous and tempting, asking for your attention as you get down to kiss them, to love them…
“Sweets, not on the carpet!!!!” Izuku yells as he pushes the empty parcel underneath your nose.
A small pool of blood splatters into the it.
Oh. “Wow I can’t believe you! You are the one who came up with this rule!” Izuku snickers as he takes your utterly pathetic state.
“Izuku, I need to take a good last look before we go.” You crawl closer to your boyfriend like a feral animal. “Let me love them one last time…”
“Sweets, we should probably get ready… oh fuck.” Izuku whimpers as his hand grabs the back of your head. He has no more words to say.
… needless to say, your legs hurt like hell, but it was worth it. Izuku’s naked buds were loved one last time.
~•🥦•~
You can’t help but laugh at the scene in front of you.
Izuku is surrounded by not one, but two professional piercers, one on the each side.
Izuku is pale, terrified and utterly ashamed.
Why?
Because you are not only one who “had to see this.”
Katsuki and Eijirou are here too. Eijirou is streaming the whole thing into their friend group chat. Katsuki is streaming the whole thing to Melissa and Hatsume on a second device. The two piercers try their best not to laugh as Kaminari comments on every single thing. They are having the time of their lives.
“Also, I hope you won’t feel too bad after your piercing is done because we are having dinner tomorrow. Almost everyone is coming.”
“When was this decided?!” Izuku yelps as the piercers take the needles out.
“When Eijirou messaged me that you are getting your nipples pierced.” Kaminari laughs. “Dude, you were the last fucking person we thought will get anything like that! This is massive!”
“Seeing Izuku’s face right now, you might not have anything to see.” Eijirou adds as he takes in Izuku’s pale face.
“Don’t be a chicken, Deku.” Katsuki grins, clearly enjoying the terror on the green head’s face.
“I’ll be really mad if you made me invent those super cool nipple shields and you won’t even use them.” Melissa adds through Katsuki’s phone.
“You wanted it for so long, Izu, even if you change your mind you can always take them out.”
You also REALLY want him to get those piercings. But you can’t really say that because you are quite sure he would go through all this terror for you even if he doesn’t want it anymore.
“You are young, enjoy yourself.” One of the piercers adds with a smile. Izuku looks at him like he just grew another head.
“That’s a thick needle.” Izuku mutters, his voice unsteady. “I’ve never seen a needle this big before.”
Okay, something is wrong. Katsuki and you look each other with concern in your eyes.
“Deku-San… are you afraid of needles by any chance?” The second piercer, a lovely lady with black hair and several piercings on her face asks with an adorning smile on her face.
Yeah, you get it. Pro hero Deku is fucking precious.
“Am… am I?” Izuku stutters, pale as a sheet.
Everyone laughs… quietly.
“This is the best day of my life.” Kaminari adds. Izuku blushes.
You want to marry this adorable man.
You take one single look at Katsuki’s face; for the first time since you knew each other, he has an adorning smile on his face, the same one the piercer is wearing, but deeper. Izuku glances at Katsuki and for a second, then they just look at each other; the life comes back into Izuku’s face and he smiles at his best friend fondly.
You want to cry from this beautiful scene.
“Let’s get this shit done.” Izuku grins at the blond. Katsuki grins back.
“Want me to hold your hand, D-E-K-U?” Katsuki teases, making Izuku laugh wholeheartedly.
“Sure.”
You let them have their moment together; they deserve it. You might have secretly wanted to be the one holding his hand through it but seeing the genuine excitement on Katsuki’s face, you don’t have the heart to butt in. Katsuki’s phone ends up in your hand and you do your best to keep the video as steady as you can as the procedure goes forward; there is a loud scream as the needle goes through Izuku’s skin, but Katsuki looks paler than Deku which is quite funny to be honest.
“Katsuki doesn’t like big needles, either.” Eijirou whispers into your ears and you can’t help but giggle.
“Says the guy who needs to be blindfolded and distracted before getting an ear piercing because he hardens his skin every time the needle is about to penetrate.” Katsuki yells; you really like how Katsuki knows Eijirou so much that he didn’t even need to hear what was said to know what it was about.
“Yup. That’s also true.” Eijirou giggles then looks at Izuku who’s basically half asleep in the chair after all the “trauma”. “You okay there, bro?”
“Peachy… AUCH!” Izuku yells out once more when the barbell piercing is being put into place.
“WOW, that’s cool.” Katsuki mutters as he takes in the sight. Eijirou puts a tissue under your nose. Oh. Your nose is bleeding again.
Jesus, this is so much better that your daydreams.
The tissue gets replaced by two tampons by the lovely piercer lady. She takes the phone from you; oh, when did you start recording the floor? And aims the camera at you, making the whole team of heroes laugh hysterically. Then the camera is aimed at Izuku’s chest and the laughter ceases.
“Hell damn, bro.” Kaminari mutters with a blush on his face. Then you hear a slap and an “ouch.” “What’s your problem, Hitoshi?!”
“Behave yourself.” Comes a deep, grumpy voice. “Lookin’ sick, man. Lookin’ sick.”
“I feel violated by just looking at it.” Iida mutters, which is most probably a compliment…?
“Huh, the magazines will never let Izuku wear a top again.” Melissa giggles to herself.
“What if I make a piercing baby that shoots lasers? Or electrocutes when touched? A built in taser. A gps that can send signals about danger?”
“Hatsume, no!” Comes the answer from everyone, in unison. Everyone laughs. Well, Deku tries to laugh but then whimpers from the pain.
“Why…” Hatsume mutters, heartbroken.
The team of friends takes one good look at the new babies on Izuku’s skin then say their goodbyes to leave the green head to rest; they will be able to see it in real life tomorrow, anyway.
“Ready to go home, Izu-Izu?” You mutter as you swap your place with Katsuki who makes his way towards the two piercers to talk to them; you wouldn’t be surprised if Katsuki wants to have his own set in the future.
“I guess I don’t need to ask you if you like them.” Izuku giggles as he takes your hand and leaves a gentle kiss on it.
“Yeah, don’t ask.” You giggle as you help the hero up, not like he needs it, but it feels nice to take care of him.
“I’m a rebel now. I’m so happy.” Izuku adds with a giddy smile. He clearly needed this. It might sound stupid for some people but you absolutely get him.
“You are. And I love you for it.” You smile back, with butterflies in your tummy; it still doesn’t feel real. Not the piercing, but you and Izuku, as a pair, as lovers, as potential forever partners.
It also doesn’t feel real how your love just never changes; it’s constant and deep, only getting deeper as the time goes.
Life is great. Izuku is great. Katsuki and Eijirou are great.
Hell, you are so fucking happy right now; you might jump out of your skin and start break dancing on the ceiling.
Finally… almost everything is back to normal.

“So… see you after my shift!” Izuku’s smile is pure and happy, eyes full of excitement and love. It’s happening. Izuku is finally going back to work. You could cry from happiness; while it does hurt a bit to be alone in the flat after having this man to yourself for months, seeing him so full of life is worth those few hours of loneliness.
“Don’t forget; do not overexert yourself! You might only be on patrol for four hours, but you’ve been away for a long time. Let Katsuki handle the big boys for now. Okay, hero?”
“Anything for you, madam.” Izuku takes your hand and leaves a kiss on the back of it, his eyes hot and scorching as he looks up at you. It reminds you of another time you’ve seen that look on his face…
“Okay, go before I pull you back to the bedroom, you tease!” You tear your hand away, utterly embarrassed. Izuku only giggles.
“WOW, it’s only 7 in the morning and you are already thinking about being cheeky? I’m the luckiest chap in the whole world!”
Oh, that shit-eating grin…
“Not with you, sir, I’m waiting for you to leave so I can call…”
“Do not finish that sentence unless you want me to do my patrol right in front our apartment complex.” Izuku’s grin changes in a matter of seconds; the green eyed monster (pun intended) is back, the one with the dark, scorching eyes, the one you secretly love so much and has been feeding your dirty little daydreams for more than a year now.
“He might be a neighbor. I’m just saying.” You gulp, incapable to not stare into those eyes.
“Well, then it will be really easy to find his address. Being a hero comes with certain perks… like for instance, a knowledge of how to hide a body so it’s never found.” Izuku winks at you menacingly and points at your neck. “Also, there is a cheeky little hickey on your neck. I wonder who did that?”
The audacity. You can’t help but push him out through the door, utterly embarassed again.
“You are a fucking menace today. Go and think about what you’ve done and I hope to see my lovely, sweet Izu-Izu when you come back! Shame on you!” You close the door on the green head who’s laughing his ass off, even after you shut the door in his face. Just a second later, the door opens again, and you are being forcefully cuddled.
“I’m so fucking late, Sweets.” Izuku giggles to himself, back to his normal self. You sigh into his fluffy curls.
“Stop hugging me and go then!” You snicker back, secretly happy for these last few moments of peace. You are still a little bit traumatized by the last time Izuku went on a shift; the last time, when Izuku did not come home, when he was nothing but a shell put on several different wires to be kept alive… it’s the past but the past can repeat itself; you know it’s really rare these days to get into that kind of trouble, but you can’t control how you feel; you’ll always be worried for a loved one, no matter the circumstances; they might only go out to buy groceries for the week but you would stress your ass off if the “mission” takes too long. It’s a stupid love thing, as Katsuki would say.
“I’ll be careful. I promise.” Izuku leaves one last kiss on your lips and begrudgingly moves towards the entrance. You really want to tease him about not using the back door as he usually does, but you don’t have the heart to do that.
“I know.” You smile to yourself as the door closes.
~•🥦•~
The last few months were… amazing. Izuku got his temporary suit just a few weeks after your conversation with Melissa, Katsuki and Izuku then started to spar 3 times a week; Katsuki had to reduce his hours to be able to be with “the nerd” but it was absolutely worth it for the both of them; Katsuki’s dark circles finally disappeared while Izuku started to be less anxious and his confidence started to grow with every session. After a few weeks, Izuku’s recovery program came to an end as well, meaning he was finally officially free to do whatever he wants without the constant worry for his fresh injuries.
From that point, Izuku was a busy bee; he was taken somewhere every afternoon, sometimes it was Eijirou sometimes Ochako, or on one occasion it was Kouta who came to the door begging for a spar which needless to say, made Izuku’s little heart really fucking happy. You actually managed to persuade the two to let you come along for their training spar in UA; you almost shat your pants from excitement to be in that famous school and you also realized that Izuku will be an amazing father one day. Eraser gave you a stinky side eye when he caught you daydreaming while “watching the show”, but then he gave you a knowing half-smile, which only made the situation worse. Then the cherry on top was when he said “I hope you know I’ll have high expectations for your kid, quirkless or not.”
You couldn’t look that man in the eye after that.
So long story short… they were an interesting few weeks, no day the same as the other. Having Izuku out of your sight also made you appreciate him even more when he’s at home.
Now back to the present… needless to say, you are freaking out a little bit but you also know that Izuku is not alone; Katsuki and Eijirou are both next to him, keeping him safe for the time being, until he’s strong enough to stay on his own two feet. Izuku wasn’t too happy about being babysat like a fresh UA student but after a while he managed to understand that it’s all for his safety.
There are several different reasons to why Izuku is moving in groups; one, his re-appearance might motivate some of the villains to strike the old number one hero at his weakest, just to be able to say that they won a fight with him. Second, while the heroes are close to sniffing out who was the main villain behind Izuku’s attack, the investigation wasn’t closed yet. One single mistake and the history might repeat itself. And the third, probably obvious one is… Izuku is still technically healing and his suit isn’t completed yet. This is a trial run.
As today is Izuku’s first day back, the media was kindly asked to stay away from him for at least for the first week; that doesn’t mean you won’t put on the TV in the background, just in case. It’s a bad habit, but a habit every single significant other and family member does. “No news is great news” is the official motto, apparently.
You’ve learnt that in the “help, I married a hero” support group on Facebook. You are quite sure not a single person in that group is actually married to a hero and it’s more like a role play group but it’s entertaining nonetheless.
By the time your Izu-Izu comes back from his first shift (he actually managed to make his way back around 1PM, which is still 2 hours more than his original finish time but it’s still better than his old 14 hour shifts.), there is lunch on the table, the flat is clean, the plants are watered…
“Were you bored, Sweets?” Izuku laughs as he looks around the flat. Your cheeks are tinted red and you can’t look into his eyes.
“… no?” You mumble, still looking away. There is a comfortable silence for the next few seconds then Izuku finally says the magic word:
“Come here.”
You jump into Izuku’s arms like a feral animal on the verge of dying of starvation.
“Izuuuuuuuu!” You genuinely did not know you can make such an annoying, high pitched noise. It’s actually hurting your ears. Izuku squints for a second but welcomes you with open arms, clearly not as annoyed as he should be. “This was terrible! I can’t say these were the most excruciating 6 hours of my life because I saw you almost die in the TV before, but like… you were not here! I was cold and I had to put on a sweater! I couldn’t reach one of the shelves and I had to get the step stool! I had to use that fancy jar opener to open my jar of pickles!” You whine and Izuku shakes from the laughter under your arms.
“You are not getting sick again, are you?” Izuku reminds you of your shenanigans a few months ago when you basically lost your mind and forgot how to speak coherently or put a filter on your mouth. You two laugh about it right now, but back then, you literally felt your heart break into pieces when he came home hurt “because of you”. And that massive fight after? Never fucking again. Thankfully you are both extremely emotionally intelligent so you managed to use that experience to learn about each other instead of letting the temporary resentment darken your hearts. It was a good lesson; Izuku had learnt that his safety should always be a priority and that being honest about his feelings goes a long way. You’ve learnt how to set boundaries and how to speak up about things that are important to you; like for instance your crush of several months not coming home drenched in blood and on the verge of passing out from blood loss just because they were too worried about you to focus is really important. You didn’t think this is something you need to voice as it is common sense but it is not common sense in Izuku’s brain, apparently.
“No, I’m completely fine. I’m just happy.”
“Because I’m back?” Izuku beams at you then makes a confused face as you shake your head.
“I’m happy because your eyes have that shine in them again… the shine I fell in love with almost a year ago.”
“I was happy before this. You make me happy.” Izuku tries his best to reassure you but you only laugh at his antics.
“You were happy but now… you are content. And happy. You might be my Izuku, but you are also the Japan’s Pro Hero Deku. I can make my Izuku happy but Deku… I can’t give him everything. And that’s completely fine with me. You need your ability to save people just as much as you need me when you get home. You will only ever thrive when you have both… and I respect you for that. It’s what I love about you, Izu.” You leave a tiny kiss on Izuku’s now tearstained cheeks. Izuku doesn’t say anything just pulls you closer and hides his face in the crook of your neck.
“I don’t deserve you. But you told me to be selfish, so I’ll erase that thought from my head.” Izuku gives you a tired smile. “To be honest, these few hours were way too eventful for a first day. I’m really tired. All I want is eat and cuddle on the sofa.” Izuku states confidently. You are so fucking proud of this man, goddamnit!
“Sounds like a good plan to me, hero.” You smile back proudly. Izuku moves his head towards your ears, like he’s about to tell you secret.
“Also, I would really like a dessert for breakfast tomorrow.” Izuku slowly moves towards the sofa and pulls you down to sit in his lap.
“You mean like… a strawberry shortcake? Pudding?” You act like a fool, trying your best to hide your cheeky smile from him. Izuku giggles into your neck.
“Those sound amazing but I’m craving something much sweeter.” Izuku leaves a kiss on your neck. Your whole body shivers. “Softer.” He leaves another kiss, a little bit further down. you can’t help the content sigh that comes out of your mouth. Oh, how much you love this man.
“Keep doing that and I won’t let you rest today at all.” You retort as you slowly pull away from him. “Rest up then come to eat lunch. I’m staaaaarving.” You sigh as you jump off him and make your way towards the table, half-salivating over the lovely scent of your freshly made Katsudon.
Izuku doesn’t reply, his stomach does, with a massive rumble. You both laugh.
~•🥦•~
Izuku’s 4 hour shifts became 6 then 10. Slowly, life started to go back to the old normal, with Izuku being out and about for most of the day and you working on commissions and taking care of the flat. Having Izuku away for so long did some bad things to your mental health first, but Izuku, being as observant as he is, clocked it on the first week and made sure you are happy and being taken care of in those few hours he stayed at home. He also made sure not to do overtime unless he genuinely needed to. It meant the world to you. He even made sure he’s free on the day of your first anniversary; which apparently, in Izuku’s head was a year after your first accidental kiss on the mountain top. Needless to say, you had a “massive fight” after that, trying to make Izuku understand that your anniversary is a year after you two officially decided to be a couple, but Izuku was adamant that him choosing the day of that kiss was him being “sensible” as in his head, his heart was yours since the first time he stumbled through the door drenched in blood, when you two were sitting with your backs to the wall and he cried in your arms.
So now, apparently you have two anniversaries, and both dates must be celebrated with a super expensive dinner in that restaurant “in the sky” and with a hot tub full of roses or bath bombs or whatever silly thing Izuku comes up with. Then there is Valentine’s Day, which is, apparently also a day that must be heavily celebrated by staying home and eating that amazing Strawberry cake from Sato’s new restaurant and a chocolate fountain.
The chocolate fountain is for later.
Yes. It’s uhm… for the main celebration.
…
So yes. Life with Izuku has been great. Both of you are super happy with your relationship and even after a whole year of being a couple, you two can’t get enough of each other and instead of being bored of each other you just get more and more obsessed, making Katsuki fake-vomit every time you two go over to theirs for dinner.
Talking about Katsuki and Eijirou; they adopted a massive Rottweiler puppy. His name is Redrum, murder but backwards but they just call him Red. All Meowth wasn’t too impressed by the big, goofy puppy first but after a while he got used to being harassed by Red and those two together are the funniest pair; All Meowth just plays dead every time Red comes over while Red licks him and pokes him until All Meowth looses his patience and hides under the sofa for the rest of the day.
The agency finds the main leader of the group who attacked Izuku, just a few weeks after Izuku gets the official suit from America. Izuku, Katsuki and Eijirou left the country for 2 weeks to finally put an end to the terrible villain group that hurt Deku.
This brings us to your current situation - you, loosing your mind, alone for two weeks with a grumpy cat and a hyperactive, humongous dog.
~•🥦•~
It has been a bit less than two weeks since Izuku had left to get the bastard who ended his career.
You hate everything. The day is always gloomy, even when the sun shines, your bed never smells the way you like it, even if you wash the sheets over and over again, no one changes the settings on All Meowth’s automatic feeder and there are no new post its on the fridge with silly little drawings of heroes or super cheesy love quotes from Deku. The food tastes plain, your drawings suck, the whole world sucks, you don’t even understand why you woke up from your bed today. You made so much food this week, purely by accident, so used to having to feed a big bulky hero every day that you have enough leftovers for the next two weeks. Hell, even Izuku’s fake plastic plant looks sad. You swear the leaves are drooping, their color more yellow than usually.
You have no idea how is that possible.
You sit at the dining table, bumping your head into it over and over, thinking about getting some special vitamins that boost your serotonin levels, because you swear to god have depression, or some kind of separation anxiety or the hell knows, but something is surely wrong with you.
Your phone rings next to you; you jump up from your seat so quickly it makes you dizzy.
You take the call in 5 milliseconds. It’s a video call.
“OH MY GOD, IZU-IZU!!!!!” You yell to the screen as you take in the sight in front of you; there are several blood splatters on Izuku’s face and he’s also full of soot and dust, his hair matte and unuly. He looks tired, and by the look of it, he’s calling from a first aid tent.
“You should see the other guy.” Izuku grins like your heart isn’t just about to exit your body through your mouth. “Ouch.” Izuku mutters as someone pats his bloody arms down with a cotton swab. “Look, this is my girlfriend!” He points at you, speaking in English and now there is a random nurse looking at you. You are trying to decide between screaming and laughing. The nurse takes one good look at you and turns towards Izuku.
“She is really cute!” The nurse mutters with broken English and smiles. That makes your heart calm down a bit; these two wouldn’t be talking about you if Izuku or any of the other heroes would be in grave danger.
“I can’t wait to marry her.” Izuku blushes, the hint of pink visible even under all the dirt. “She’s the love of my life.”
The nurse makes a high pitched whine.
“Kawaii! Oh, uhm… I should be tending to your wounds, sorry, ignore me and take your time with your Sweets! You deserve it!”
“Does he?” You tease, but Izuku looks at you with a proud smile.
“Sweets, we won. It’s finally over. I’m coming home tomorrow. I can’t fucking wait to see you.” There are tears in Izuku’s eyes as he says that. You are not too far behind him.
“I can hug you tomorrow… fuck, Izu, I miss you so much!” You sniff, touching Izuku’s face to the screen.
“I miss you too. I can’t wait to snuggle with you. Oh my god, sleeping without you is a torture! I’ve never thought I’m gonna say this but I even miss your cold feet.” Izuku giggles to himself.
“I miss you suffocating me with your massive arms.” You try to tease him back but there is nothing to tease him about; he is fucking perfect. At least for you.
“Jesus, tomorrow can’t come quick enough.” Izuku sighs. “Oh, hi, Red!” Izuku waves at the unruly massive dog who just jumped up into your lap, almost tipping the chair over in the process.
“This dog is a menace. I’ll never moan about All Meowth again.” You let the dog lick your face as you smile fondly. At least he was keeping you company in these two wretched weeks. He might forget that he’s a big boy sometimes, but he’s the sweetest, kindest creature you’ve ever seen. Just like his parents.
“Oi, is that Red?” Katsuki yells at Deku from somewhere far away, probably getting treated himself. “Oi, Red!”
Red’s ears perk up, his tail wagging (or to be exact, hitting your body with full strength) happily.
“What?” Kirishima yells back from somewhere.
“Not you, you big dummy! Fucking hell, why did I choose that name…”
“Because you love me so much you wanted to have two of me.” You can’t see it, but Eijirou probably grins like a maniac while he says that.
“Gay.” Sero giggles, and by the big thump and several nurses yelling, Katsuki threw something at him.
“Tomorrow. I love you.” Izuku disconnects with a smile on his face.
Just a few hours after your phone call the news are full of Izuku and Katsuki’s victory. You can’t help the proud tears that escape your eyes; the world is a safe place once again.
~•🥦•~
You really want to go to pick up Izuku at the airport but you are too afraid to leave Red alone for such a long time so you end up staying in your shared flat. When the door opens, your heart makes a somersault in your chest; Izuku’s eyes shine with so much fondness, his bags hitting the floor with a loud thump as he runs towards you without taking his shoes off, which would usually piss you off but… fuck, you missed him so fucking much.
Izuku’s arms snake around you right away, pulling you up, and you manage to cling to him like a cute, soft baby koala, your thighs gripping the boys torso like your life depends on it.
“Fuck, I missed you.” You voice your feelings, your voice trembling from all the emotions; Izuku smells like heaven itself, pine with a hint of lemon, his hair puffy and freshly washed; you take a deep whiff, inhale deep and slow, your heart finally calming down after being on edge for two whole weeks. This is your safe space, those muscular arms, this scent, the feeling of his rough scars on your soft, sensitive skin… this is home.
“You are my everything. Everything, Sweets. I can’t live without you. Fuck, I’m so pathetic but this is what I realized during these two weeks.” Izuku sniffs, pulling you close, his arms so tight around you there is barely any space in your lungs for oxygen, but it feels so right…
“Red, you bastard!” Katsuki’s rough, deep voice ruins the mood in a fraction of the second; the big dog jumps into Katsuki’s arms, almost tripping the man, but Eijirou is right there to support his partner from behind.
“Oh, honey bun, look how adorable you are!” Eijirou coos, hopefully, to the dog and not to Katsuki, otherwise this flat will be in flames in just a few minutes.
Izuku, with his forehead leaning on yours, smiles into the minuscule space between you as he looks into your eyes deeply. He caresses your cheek with his right hand, slowly and gently as he mumbles;
“I’m home.”
“Welcome home, baby.” You smile as a few stray tears escape from your eyes; you put your hand on top of Izuku’s one that’s resting on your face… but there is something… on Izuku’s wrist. Foil?
Also… why is it so quiet all of the sudden?!
Oh, Katsuki and Eijirou sneaked out while you two were busy confessing to each other.
“Oh, that’s…” Izuku blushes as he moves away to show you the foil on his wrist. There is something under it… something small and colorful. “I had this idea for ages… then we met this cool tattoo artist who was willing to take me in right away… so I thought, why not? I hope you like tattoos.” Izuku looks at you with worry. You can’t help but laugh.
“Yes, I like tattoos. What is it though? The foil is too thick.” You smile at him and Izuku starts to rid himself from the foil.
It takes you half a second to start crying like a baby. Not more, not less. Half a single second.
The tattoo is of a bouquet of sweet pea flowers, held together by a thin, red thread. The red thread gets loose under the bouquet and it shapes the word “home”.
“This… this is…” you sniff, as you take in the sigh.
“This is you.” Izuku answers. “It’s you, because whatever happens, you’ll forever be a part of me. Just like this tattoo.”
“I really want to kiss you silly.” You mumble while crying into Izuku’s pecks.
“Let me change the foil, then you can kiss me as much as you want.” Izuku giggles, in seventh heaven by the look of it.
“You are not sleeping tonight.” You mutter with a tiny blush on your face. It has been two weeks, okay?!
“It wasn’t my intention to do that anyway, hence I slept on the plane.” Izuku sticks his tongue out then licks his lips while staring into your eyes.
Oh, hell damn.
Needless to say, you forgot to congratulate Izuku for winning this case, so you make sure he knows how thankful you are… in other ways.

Summary: Y/N learns more about the people who live in Izuku’s head. No, she doesn’t think Izuku needs to see a therapist. Izuku already does that anyway.
Izuku also acts weird when it comes to the Hero Gala… what is he hiding?
(Is this how you write a summary? Hell, I’ve been away for too long.)

Somewhere in the near future
Y/N’s Diary entry #145
Life has been great. Too great, to be honest.
I was loved and appreciated and my side hustle helped me to get enough money to feel safe in case something goes wrong. No more stress about being a burden or feeling useless. Sounds great, right?
It was… it was great. Everything was splendid.
I knew something will happen in the future. I knew it can’t stay this good forever.
But I didn’t think the reality will hit me this hard.
The funny thing is, that it isn’t even about me. My life is still… great. But seeing my loved ones in so much pain is worse than being in it myself. The tears, the loud sobs, the sound of choking on air in the middle of a breakdown… these things live in my head rent-free, they keep me up at night and mess up my mornings and I hate how I’m completely unable to do anything to help my loved ones.
~•~
“I know we usually go from number ten to number one, but tonight… it will be different.” The entrepreneur announced on the hero gala without a single smile, shaking and kinda broken. No one clapped. They just sat in silence, their eyes the size of saucers, their anxiety clear even through the screen of the TV. “I have a letter from our favorite number one pro hero, Deku. Now let me read it for you.”
I knew right at that moment… that things won’t be same anymore.

Back to the present.
“Do you think we went a bit unhinged in there?” You mumble to yourself as you enjoy the hot water of the onsen. Izuku looks at you questioningly, not really understanding what this is about; feeling his gaze on you after everything you two have just done it’s a little bit… well… embarrassing? No, it’s not the right word to use. It’s a pleasant feeling but it also makes you shy away a little bit. You feel like that meme that’s circulating the internet about wives getting shy around their long-term husbands after getting… well… loved hard. Now, there is two problems with this; first of all, it was your first time with him (plus you’ve only been together for a few months), second of all, your time together was anything but… hard. It was soft but scorching hot like a marshmallow being cooked by a fireplace. It was the exact opposite of what that wife was going through in that one meme.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean… we are a bit too much, aren’t we?” You try to make yourself a bit easier to understand and by the look of it, Izuku gets it; but instead of getting shy about it, he just gives you a massive, adorable smile then moves into your personal space to answer you while your lips are almost touching.
This man will be the death of you.
“Is it weird to be obsessed with my girlfriend?” Izuku closes the distance, his lips moving on your own as he speaks. It makes your heart beat out of rhythm and you feel the familiar warmth in your tummy again, only half an hour after your cheeky shenanigans.
You blame it on the hot water, because otherwise… How insatiable can you be?!
“I mean, it might look weird to other people. But I guess I’m no better than you and if you are okay with it then so am I?” You answer with your eyes half lidded, anticipating the kiss you are so hungry for.
“I don’t give a fuck what others think, Sweets. Not when it comes to you.” Izuku grumbles in a deep voice and finally puts his lips back on yours for a chaste kiss. You can’t help but giggle.
“Did Kacchan’s soul just infiltrate you for a second there?”
“Nah, but my answer was heavily influenced by one of the vestiges inside me. He doesn’t talk much but when he does, he has a strong opinion.”
“They… talk to you?” You look up at your boyfriend with pure wonder. This is the first time you hear about this; he told you about feeling the old wielders inside him but he never clarified on what level he can communicate with them. In your head, you thought it’s more like a second conscience, like you can feel it when they are angry or happy about whatever is happening around Izuku but that’s about it.
“Yeah, I…” Izuku moves his face away from you but his arm snakes around your middle to pull you closer. You put your head on his chest, ready to hear his story. It’s something you do quite frequently; you put your head on his chest or in his lap while Izuku tells you unheard tales about stuff he’s been through. “You see, it’s really embarrassing to tell someone that there are several other people living inside my head, taking over my own thoughts sometimes. I don’t want to end up in a mental hospital… not like you would ever do something like that, but… I’m sorry I kept this a secret.”
“How does it work?” You take Izuku’s free hand in your own and start playing with it, trying your best not to sound so nosy. You fail.
“They… well… uhh, this is so hard.” He giggles. “They aren’t constant… they jump into my head once in a while when they have a strong opinion about something but they let me live my own life and they try their best not to interfere nor influence my decisions. They talk to me during battles, help me with strategies, I can also close my eyes and talk to them if I want to or need to. During my dark days, right after the accident I sometimes managed to completely zone them out. They weren’t happy about that.” Izuku admits.
“What were they thinking about us?” You try to change the topic because there is no way in hell you want Izuku to start getting all nostalgic and sad right now.
“They teased the shit out of me for being a coward. They knew about my feelings sooner than I did. They haven’t said too much but when they did they were… let’s just say I have a full ass “SweetZuku” ship gang inside my head.” He giggles, leaving a tiny kiss on the top of your head. “Don’t worry, they love you. Especially the first wielder. And the second, even if he denies it.”
“Tell them I said hi.” You mutter sleepily, way too comfortable in this position.
“You made them really happy by saying that. Maybe, in the future we could try and talk to them together.” Izuku smiles, elated from being understood.
“I would love that. Thank you, Izu… and the gang.” You giggle, moving your head towards Izuku’s to give him another kiss.
“I hope this kiss is only for me though. I’m a really giving guy, but I’m not sharing you.”
You laugh out loud; this reminds you of the time when Izuku got so jealous of that poor fan who asked for a selfie with you that his black whip came out in the middle of a meet and greet, scaring the shit out of the staff while the fans just took it as “fan service” and wrote poems about how cool it was to see black whip in action.
“I’m aware of that, Izu. Way too aware.” You giggle yourself as you keep peppering kisses on your boyfriend’s mouth.
“Sorry, it won’t change.” Izuku announces proudly and you are so proud of him that you are about to cry; this might sound like a red flag from anyone else, but seeing Izuku finally sticking to his opinion instead of trying to change for other people is such a big step up compared to his old self you can’t help but feel pride swelling in your chest because hell, you did that. It was a long struggle but finally, your work has payed off.
“You have nothing to be sorry about. I know you wouldn’t harm anyone nor me and it’s in your rights to be protective over your loved one so please, keep being jealous, it’s kinda hot, anyway.”
“Wow.” Izuku looks at you incredulously, extremely entertained by your answer. “I’ll… do my best to be healthily jealous then. I love the way you looked at me when I said that. In your words - it was kinda hot.” He gives you a massive grin.
“Going back to our original conversation…” you give Izuku a knowing smile. “We are really weird, but I really fucking like it.”
“That’s my girl.”
… yeah, you are definitely insatiable. There is no other explanation to why are you two heavily making out in the scorching hot onsen right now, absolutely ignoring the dizziness from being in the hot water for so long.
“Jesus Christ, can you stop making out so loud?!” Comes Kyouka’s voice from the other side of the massive privacy fence. “I’m trying to relax here!”
“Wanna take this to the bedroom, Sweets?” Izuku looks at you with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“I heard that!”
“He knows!” You yell to your friend as you crawl out of the water, stumbling to your towel while Izuku’s eyes move from your head to your toes shamelessly, clearly enjoying the “5 star view”. You really want to comment on it but after doing the same only a few hours ago, you have no rights to do so. “Come on, let Kyouka enjoy her solitude.”
“Yes, madam!”
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
“Yup, they fucked.” Kaminari declares with a straight face, once he opens the door.
You really want to lie and say you have no idea why Kaminari thinks that’s true, because surprisingly enough, you did look into the mirror before and coming here and you did try to sort yourself out but… there are things you can’t really hide with make up; for instance, your eyes that shine like a fucking star got stuck in your irises or Izuku’s puffy lips and pink neck, still ruddy from all the kisses.
After the onsen… you two… well… uhm…
Let’s just say you couldn’t forget how Izu said he’s never done certain things in bed and that he was always on the giving side and never on the receiving side… So once you two were inside the four walls you decided to show him some other things he might have missed. You are quite sure you lost your voice during the “process” but it was absolutely worth it and Izuku got hooked on the new type of intimacy and came up with ideas of his own and… well, yeah. You are limping a little bit. Just a tiny bit. Mostly because of all the “leg training” but there’s also that other factor that you can’t even say out loud because you two are too fucking sweet to say those things. And all of these things had happened out of love so… there is no need to make it sound dirty. You two had a good time but maybe went a bit too far. Oh well, it happens.
“I really have an urge to yell about the audacity of coming to my humble abode looking like a wreck but if I would need to suffer another day with you two eye fucking each other at my table I’d probably explode myself to the other world, so just shut up and sit down.” Katsuki mutters, also with a straight face and Eijirou just sighs at that.
“At least they are not denying it. I remember you telling everyone a week ago that you got beaten up in a “secret mission” when…”
“OH MY GOD THERE WAS NO SECRET MISSION?!” Denki hollers out loud. “
“Nope. Just me. Sorry.” Eijirou gives the group the biggest grin known to mankind, not even flinching when Katsuki slaps him in the face with a kitchen towel.
After the group is finally distracted, everyone sits down to eat another gorgeous meal made by Katsuki himself, mostly talking about hero stuff and Rody’s shenanigans. The night goes well, until Kyouka brings up the hero rankings. Izuku’s whole body stiffens next to you as Kyouka starts to talk about the dress she decided on for the big event next week; the whole gang chimes in with their own choice of clothing, showing pictures on their phones back and forth, completely indifferent to the turmoil in Izuku who just stares at his leftovers and plays with a little pea in his bowl. You wordlessly try to console him by taking his clenched hand into yours; he clenches it so hard you almost yell out loud from the pain.
Something is wrong. Really wrong.
“What are you gonna wear to the Gala, Izuku?” Kirishima asks, eyes full of excitement but it changes into a look of concern once he takes a better look at the greenette.
“I’m not going to this one.”
Someone’s butter knife hits the table. Someone chokes on their drink. Everyone processes the information differently but one thing is identical; everyone looks at Izuku like he’d grown another head.
“You can’t be fucking serious.” Kyouka looks at Izuku, utterly dumbfounded.
“You are the Number One hero of this country.” Katsuki sneers. “It’s your fucking responsibility to show your cute little freckled face and make sure people know you are still there for them.” Katsuki said these words with venom in his voice; you are extremely surprised to hear Katsuki’s tone so harsh.
“I’m not there for them though, am I?” Izuku snaps back with his eyes full of tears. “I can’t fight their battles. I can’t help them. You can’t possibly ask me to show up and be all smiley and “cute” when my whole fucking career is in shambles!”
Everyone steps back for a second. There is an awkward, tension-filled silence at the table and you have no idea what to do; Izuku’s words make sense but they also don’t and you really don’t know who to stand with.
“Like it or not, he has a point.” Eijirou puts his hand on Katsuki’s shoulder. “As you can see, he’s still not okay. Let him sit this one out. It’s not worth ruining his amazing day.”
“He ruined it for himself when he started fucking yelling at me.” Katsuki stands up from the table, clearly shaken up by the whole situation; Katsuki might look like a strong person but he’s actually really sensitive; you can clearly see how wet his eyes are when he stomps into his room and slams the door on everyone.
“Kacchan!” Izuku is the next one to leave the table, running after the blonde with nothing but guilt in his teary eyes. Everyone just stares at the drama in utter silence, not really sure how to help or what to do to save this evening.
Thankfully, the fact that everyone at this table is an grown ass adult, the drama sizzles out after half an hour; Izuku and Katsuki emerges from the bedroom after some yelling and banging is heard from the other side of the door; their eyes are red rimmed and cheeks blotchy but they have their arms around each other’s shoulders and everything looks “okay”; or at least for the rest of the group who sigh happily when the two joins the Netflix-binge on the couch. Not you, though. You look at Izuku intensely, you look at the way his mouth smiles but the edges are still facing downwards, and you realize that something is still wrong; Izuku is hiding something, from the group, and from you.
Something is wrong but everyone ignores it, too happy to have the “good vibes back”.
You really feel the urge to yell at the group to look closely, to find a solution for the problem before someone gets hurt but all these heroes worked their asses off to have these few days off and you don’t have the heart to ruin their good time nor ruin Izuku’s only time where he can be out and about, far away from those four walls he is not used to be surrounded by for more than a few hours.
Will this decision bite you in the ass in the near future? Probably. Will you regret this decision a few days later? Yes… But you can’t help but smile when Izuku’s weird half-smile becomes a real one as he sits down on the sofa, snuggles into your arms while his legs end up on Katsuki’s lap who plays with the hem of his trousers in a weird, affectionate way.
“Are you okay?” You mutter into Izuku’s ears.
“No.” Izuku admits and your whole world turns upside down. “But one day…” he looks around his friends, who are all snuggled together on the sofa enjoying each other’s company, not knowing when the next time will be when they can be together like this. “One day, I’ll be okay. And that’s good. I’m happy with that for now. Sometimes, it needs to get worse before it gets better, you know.” Izuku smiles at you with a sad, but genuine smile and your heart skips a beat once again. You are so far gone for this man it’s ridiculous.
“It will all make sense, eventually.” You leave a tiny kiss on Izuku’s fluffy curls and turn back towards the TV. “I’m not worried, because if you ever get lost, I’ll be there to show you the right way.”
“And I’m counting on it.” Izuku smiles, but somehow, the sentence brought some weird eerie vibe into the room.
You try your best to read between the lines but you feel like there is a missing piece to this puzzle.
Ahh, let’s not overthink it for today. There is always a “tomorrow” to sort that shit out.

Potato ramble:
- Long time no see, guys. I know I have a lot of explanation to do but I’ll spare you from the gruesome details as I genuinely think no one deserves to even go through all the shit I’ve suffered even through another person.
But if you want to get a short version then here you are, but you don’t need to read it if you don’t want to.
The short story is: I’ve had two traumatic experiences in the last 3 years which made me extremely weak mentally but I always pushed through by saying “until this one person is with me I’ll be fine.” Well, this person stabbed me in the back in the most evil way, while I was the weakest, which ended up completely ruining me and traumatizing me once more (therapist’s words, not mine, I’m not being overly dramatic, just factual.) I live far away from my small family (2 hours with a plane) and I didn’t want to run away from my new home as I knew I’ll never have the balls to come back all alone so I had to endure all of my mental struggles without my family’s support. The only reason I’m still alive is my friends and my family who worked their asses off to keep me alive through the phone, and my work colleagues who never let me out of their sight and called me over so I don’t have time to think. I also have a therapist now which does wonders. So yeah, I literally didn’t have the mental energy to even give you guys a heads up.
I’m still struggling and I’ll probably never be the same but I’m trying my hardest; I gained all the weight back that I’ve lost (I was 45 kg to start with so me losing weight really wasn’t a good thing, I literally looked like a skeleton it was a nightmare), I started working out (in a healthy way) and I’m trying to get back to my old self. Please be patient with me.
- I have 3 or four chapters already written hence I decided to start posting again! I wanted to wait until the full story is done but I miss communicating with you and I also like to hear your thoughts before I write a chapter hence I decided to yolo it and start posting but please be patient with me. I still have breakdowns sometimes and I’m having a hard time writing about romantic things as my whole life is in shambles. But I really like this story (and the Kirishima one too! You will need to wait a little bit longer though 😭) so I decided to try and finish it.
- On a more positive note; look at my new rainbow flat! There is MHA in every single corner, even in the toilet btw, I’m living that best single life right now with my purple sofa, a magenta rug and fairy lights! With that said, see you in the next chapter! Please send me your thoughts 🩷 (Also, there is some angst incoming but this is the last one. Only good things after that!)
I have a work in progress right now, every version of you, that is a sci-fi multiverse story wherein Tobio, who feels he has both had and lost his chance with Shoyo, decides to go looking for a different world where they can be together. Along the way, he meets this Shoyo. He finds out they like camping. He finds out they smoke weed.
I commissioned @drawnbymabel to bring him to life because I love him, and because he's important to Tobio's story!
Currently on chapter eight; I anticipate two, maybe three chapters before we come to an end. So, if you're open to checking out a sci-fi WIP, it's waiting for you! If you're not interested in WIPs, maybe come back later. :)
Read it on Ao3.

Summary: Deku’s worries float away with Rody’s surprise visit. Literally.
Izuku’s lips get loose after a few pints. (It was one single pint, but don’t tell him I told you that.)
Warnings: mentions of depression, really brief mention of suicide but I swear it’s a cute, fluffy chapter! 😂 also… alcohol. Drink responsibly. Don’t be a Deku.
First Chapter Master List
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
“Rody?!” Izuku shrieks, completely dumbfounded.
You can’t help but smile fondly as Rody hugs Izuku and starts muttering death threats into his ears.
“If you ever pull that shit again, I’ll come over on my helicopter and kill you myself, you fucking asshole. You understand, buddy?” Rody mumbles while Pino cries on Izuku’s shoulders, snuggling into his hair. Izuku was right. Rody has the most interesting quirk you’ve ever seen.
“I’m so happy to see you, buddy.” Izuku sniffs because that’s who he is; if an emotion is even a tiny bit stronger than his normal, he cries about it, positive or negative. Rody rolls his eyes, but Pino still cries a river. Honestly, this guy a perfect example of how different humans act in front of of others. It’s mesmerizing. And sad. “I have so much to tell you, oh my god! You know how I got a roommate thanks to Jirou? She’s so pretty and so sweet, Rody, I fell in love with her right away, she’s also a big fan of me and …”
“Izuku, I’m here. I can hear you.” You giggle as Izuku starts to blush aggressively. “Why don’t you have this conversation with him after eating something? You can have a cider or a beer in the garden?”
“What about you?” Izuku gives you his biggest puppy eyes. Rody laughs fondly at your shenanigans.
“Oh boy, you have it bad.”
“Oh boy, he really does.” You giggle to yourself with a slight blush on your face. “I need to finish my commissions, Izu. I’ve been neglecting it in the past few days.” Izuku looks so heartbroken; he’s little libs wobble, his eyes are full of tears and… fuck, you are way too weak against his puppy eyes. “Okay, I’ll leave you two alone for an hour, then I’ll join. But let’s eat first. Rody must be hungry.” You sigh as Izuku attacks you with kisses on your cheeks, because this guy has no shame.
“I guess I don’t need to ask how the rest of the story went.” Rody gives you a knowing smile. Izuku is abssolutely out of it, literally floating around from the happiness. Floating. Like, for real. By the time he makes it into the kitchen he head bumps into the ceiling.
“Wow, are you sure you are not in love with Rody? You haven’t kissed the ceiling before.” You tease your man who only moans, incapable of getting down by himself. “I’ll get the ladder, you keep him away from the window.”
“Yes, sir!” Rody smirks.
You have no idea what’s happening, but one thing is for sure; you haven’t laughed this much in your whole fucking life. You really thought Izuku can not surprise you anymore, but clearly, you have a long way to go before you actually get to know this man. Thank god you have your whole life to get to know him.
~•🥦•~
“So…” Izuku scratches his head awkwardly as he comes back from the bedroom. He decided to call his doctor, just in case. “Apparently, my floating might be the after effect of my meds. The ones I got for my mood.”
“So you got overexcited like those puppies who pee themselves when they see their owner?” Rody chimes in with a smirk on his face. You swear you heard his tummy rumble, but you decide not to mention it yet.
“Basically, yes. I got some meds to lift my mood but I didn’t really need to take them today but I took it out of habit, then… a lot of good things happened and… yeah.”
“Well, at least you didn’t pee yourself.” You tease, tapping the seat next to you with a fond smile. “Come on puppy, Rody is starving.” You giggle as Izuku puts his pretty little bum down on the seat. Rody is so fucking ready to eat it’s actually quite hilarious; you don’t need Pino’s help to know he will devour whatever you put in front of him, even if it tastes like shit (hopefully, it does not.)
Just as expected, Rody jumps on the food right as you pop the serving in from him; you brought a little bowl over for Pino as well, not entirely sure if she eats human food or not, but you definitely did not want her to feel left out. You also brought over some seeds Izuku kept for the birds in his garden, just in case.
“I hope you payed for your ride this time.” Izuku looks at his friend with suspicion. You have no idea why this is the first question that comes out of your boyfriend’s mouth, but there is probably a story behind it.
“Yes and no.” Rody answers honestly and you can see Izuku’s frown deepen at that. “Wait! Jesus, just because I haven’t payed for a bus ride doesn’t mean I’m going to sneak on a fucking plane! That’s actual crime, Izuku!”
“Not paying for a bus ride is also a crime, Rody!” Izuku retorts. At this point, you are just blinking at the two, utterly confused.
“I haven’t payed for the ride itself, because I was the pilot. Your bestie, Katsuki, was nice enough to let me park at your agency’s helipad.” Rody admits. “Some of my friends wanted to visit Japan anyway and as you know, I work at a private jet charter company, so… they chipped in. Every pilot is allowed to use the planes once a year for personal reasons, I usually use mine to take my siblings away from the city but after I heard what happened from Katsuki, I decided to come over.”
So he was worried. That’s so sweet!
“Why didn’t you bring Roro and Lala over?!” Izuku pouts. Rody only laughs at that.
“They have school. They are big enough now to stay alone for a week but I asked my girlfriend to stay over at our house, just in case. They are probably having the time of their lives without me.”
“Your girlfriend?!” Izuku shrieks, almost choking on his soup. You gave him a proper bowl this time because you didn’t want him to feel like a kid in front of his buddy but he still managed to look like one, so all your efforts were in vain.
“Yeah, uhm…” Rody and Pino’s face reddens. “She’s works at the company. Super cute. I had a crush on her since day one. Then we went out drinking together with the guys and uhm… yeah. It’s not too romantic but we haven’t left each other’s side since. Life is great, you know… and I can only thank you for that. You opened my eyes and made me realize I can live a proper life and get money in a respectful way. I wouldn’t be here without you, you know. So thank you. I will bring my siblings over next year. They also want to thank you.”
Needless to say, Izuku cries again. Then he floats. Everyone screams. Thankfully, you manage to grab him before the whole table flips.
~•🥦•~
“Life has been hectic. I don’t… I don’t know what’s going to happen, you know. With my career, I mean. I might lose my spot… hell, I probably will.” Izuku mutters, playing with the condensation on his almost empty glass.
Saying that Izuku is okay now is an overstatement. The last few weeks were terrible. Everything felt empty, like he’s only a shell, an empty vessel with needs and desires, but they all felt so distant, so fake, he had to force himself to actually eat and shower. It was a struggle to keep himself alive, especially in the first week. The pain was excruciating, being unable to move was frustrating the hell out of him and not even the hot bubble bath and the massive amount of medicine could soothe his troubled soul and broken body. He hurt the most important person in his life, daily, he made Sweet Pea cry every night; he could hear it sometimes, barely there but loud enough for him to notice during the sleepless nights. He has so much atoning to do, so much to make up for but he also needs to heal so he can save people again and it’s really hard to find the perfect middle ground. He’s so happy but he’s also not… it’s like he’s in the pink clouds, but with weights pulling his legs down and he needs to work hundred times harder with to stay up there while before it was easy as breathing. Izuku wants to be his old self, he really wants to; he misses his old, silly self, or to be exact, he misses when he didn’t feel dread after every laugh, thinking that be should be out on the field, fighting instead of having fun with his girlfriend. Izuku knows this is something every hero needs to go through at least once; All Might himself told him he also felt the same when he had to retire, this constant guilt and dread every time he dared to feel happy about something. It’s normal but it doesn’t make it easier to endure.
“Does she know?” Rody gives Izuku a sad smile.
“Of course. She also knows I’m genuinely happy when I’m with her, I’m glad we can have some time together, to finally talk about our future and get used to each other properly. We didn’t have time to do that you know.” Izuku sighs. “I could barely be home. All she’s done in the past few weeks was waiting for me to come home and see me for a few hours. I couldn’t ruin that time with talking about deep stuff, but now we can actually… talk. It doesn’t make it that much easier though. I can’t lift this glass with my other hand, you know. I’m aware of it and it’s killing me. I would be completely useless if it’s not for black whip. But then she looks at me like I’m the most perfect human being on this whole planet, her pretty eyes shining and… I almost believe it’s true. That this is temporary and I’ll be back to my old self in a heartbeat. It’s not the truth though. I’ll get my heart broken several times before I make my way back to being a hero… and I’m not ready for it. I’m not ready to give up on being the number one. I worked my ass off for it. I cried blood, I sweat blood, yet here I am, on the verge of loosing everything. It makes me question if it was worth it, leaving my mother alone in that house, leaving Sweet Pea alone for days, weeks, breaking her heart over and over because I couldn’t make it home.” Rody is about to say something but Izuku stops him. Rody stays quiet but he slowly moves the glass of cider away from him, even though it’s already almost empty. “I know I’m being stupid. I know this is all in my head. The vestiges tell me that every day. They were talking to me so much when I was in my deepest, darkest phase. Whispering into my ears, telling me I did well, telling me this is not the end. I know that. I know I’m going to work my ass off again and again to get back where I was, it just sucks that I need to.”
“It’s normal to be frustrated when life isn’t going the way you wanted it to.” Rody mutters. “It suck even more when you loose your path thanks to something you can’t control. I know, I’ve been there.” He sighs. “When I lost everything after my father disappeared and I had to take care of two kids when I was supposed to be enjoying my youth, I was really frustrated. It only got worse once I realized I can’t make any money legally thanks to my age. There was a point when I wanted to end it all because I didn’t see the point in fighting. I felt like every step I make just makes the situation worse. But then I thought about my siblings. I thought about their future and about how I can at least make sure they have a good life. Without me, they would’ve been taken away. That kept me going. Then I met you. This is not the end, Deku. Once you fall deep enough, it’s only up from there. That’s what I want you to remember when the hero ratings are out.”
“You are right. I’m being an idiot. I have a roof above my head, enough money in the bank to cover my absence, I have amazing friends, family and an amazing girlfriend.” Izuku admits. “My friends are amazing heroes who can cover for me. It’s not the end of the world.”
“You are an idiot, yes, but I would question your humanity if you wouldn’t have thoughts like that. You are not a robot. You are doing really good compared to your circumstances, but don’t let that stop you from feeling like shit sometimes. Let the frustration out. Don’t bottle it up. This is your one chance to be a real human being without any consequences. Enjoy it. Heal yourself. Let us help, we are here for you.”
Izuku can’t help the tears, and he doesn’t want to; he lets them out, salty streaks trailing down his cheeks as he cuddles into his friend, body shaking like a leaf.
“I’ll be fine, because you guys are with me.” He cries. He feels weirdly dizzy all of a sudden. Hm. Interesting. “I’ll be fine because I want to have fun with everyone. I want to live my life with no regrets. I’ll do my best so I can welcome Roro and Lala with a smile on my face. I’ll do my best, Rody. I will!”
While Rody is clearly laughing at Izuku’s sudden shenanigans, Pino is bawling together with him so Izuku knows he’s not actually being laughed at.
“Okay, sweetheart, you had way too much drink.” Sweet Pea comes into Izuku’s view, giggling with teary eyes. Did she hear him? Was he yelling?
“I’ll make you happy!” Izuku yells into Y/N’s face, because… well… because he can. “I’ll make you really-really happy! And I’ll marry you! We will have five kids! You hear me?”
“Three kids max, Izu. Now let’s put you to bed.”
“But I don’t wanna!!!!”
“Hm.” Rody snickers to himself. “Only two more to go, you clearly have one kid already.”
“HEY!!!!!!!!”
“Why are you yelling?” Y/N giggles.
“Because I will make you happy! Can we get that dog now? I’ll name him All Bark.” Both of them burst out laughing. Why is he being manhandled right now?! He’s completely fine! He can make his way towards the bedroom himself, thank you very much! Okay, maybe once he started crying the booze went into his head a tiny bit but he’ll get better in no time!
“Okay, sweetie, it’s bed time. Rody’s staying in my room today, you guys can chat some more in the morning! Rody needs to sleep, he had a long ride.”
That’s fair. Izuku can live with that.
“Okay…”

Shouto: What’s the point if I can’t be the driver?
Eijirou: You can still call names and be in charge!
Amajiki-kun: Why am I here?
Eijirou: Because Izuku likes you and you never come out drinking! You can bring your support animal!
Katsuki: You are here because Eijirou’s been moaning about not seeing you for ages.
Mirio: I’m the support animal! And I’m in!
Iida: Sadly, I can’t make it this time! Send me photos, please!
Mina: Ahh, such a bummer! I also can’t make it 😭
Katsuki: Nah, not coming

Katsuki: That was not the point, second hand Pikachu.
Amajiki-kun: I was too scared to mention that.
Eijirou: Don’t worry about the details. You’ll see! Bring warm clothes!

- Hey guys! I made a Ko-fi page just in case you guys would like to support me! Don’t worry, I’m not going to stop writing if I don’t get any donations nor will I start writing quicker if I do! (I literally can’t. I’m writing every day after work already 😂) I also don’t do prompts for money, so please don’t send me any on that site! I’ll make a proper post about this in the future! My main reason to do this is that I really wanted to start digital drawing this year but I ended spending my iPad money on getting my stupid laptop repaired so… every penny helps 😂

"Sorry, blacked out again," you reply, vision starting to return to normal.
"Don't apologize. Are you okay? Do you need to sit back down?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowing in concern.
"No, I'm okay, just stood up too fast," you reply, a reassuring smile on your face as your vision was finally normal.
"You need to stop doing that," he sighs, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
"I'll try," you giggle softly in response.

men who are so sentimental and sappy it's PAINFUL
You’d always dreamed of your wedding—the venue, the bouquet, and, of course, your first dance.
you grew up watching your parents fall deeper in love with each passing year. spent days watching back through old family CDs of their wedding. of their first dance.
the video was practically worn out from the countless times you’d replayed it, watching their first dance over and over. you've practically ingrained it in your brain. every step, spin, dip, rhythm, the look of pure unbridled unadulterated love, that they shared between them. it was burned into your memory.
and naturally, you imagined yourself in their place. your arms wrapped around the person you'd spend the rest of your life with. your love. so when you met him. the man you couldn't envision a life without, you mentioned it. only once, in passing. and you never brought it up or thought about it again further down the line with planning.
so imagine the shock on your face, the venue packed with friends and family when the first notes of their song began to play.
he took your hand, his grip steady and warm, guiding you into the first step. for a moment, you hesitated, the familiarity of it overwhelming. but then he smiled, that soft, knowing smile that told you everything without a single word, and you let him lead.
the steps were the same. every turn, each twirl, the way he dipped you so perfectly, as though he’d practiced it for months (spoiler: he did). and you realized, as the music played on, this wasn’t just a dance—it was the dance.
when the song ended, you stood still, holding onto him tightly. “you’re unbelievable,” you said, your voice shaky.
“no,” he whispered, pressing his forehead to yours. “I just love you.”

Izuku being obsessed with you hcs
Genre: Fluff
This is around 3rd year of UA and he has had a crush on you since 1st year. Who knew everything there was to know about you.
Your favorite color, animal, food. What you were allergic to, your favorite movie. The cafe you went to once a week. The years he spent writing about heroes, being able to pick up the littlest of details from afar, has helped in this moment.
Ochaco thinks it’s cute, Tenya thinks it’s extremely efficient, and Bakugo thinks it’s downright creepy.
Izuku understands that you would probably agree with Bakugo, but he can’t help it. He just wants to know everything there is to know about you. So that, eventually, when he does confesses, everything will go well
He had a 6 step plan on how to ask you out and contingency plans just in case, though thankfully he didn’t need them.
Everyone thought his…tendencies will calm down once you guys get together.
Oh how they were wrong, so, so wrong.
In fact he gets worse. Always wants to be around you, but as long as you are okay with it. He doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable or anything, possibly ruin the relationship.
Literally, he’s the first thing you see when you wake up. When he walks you down for breakfast to the cafeteria because he just so happens to be around right when you open the door. He is the last thing you see when he walks to your door and gives you kiss on your cheek goodnight.
Obviously, he wasn’t at all subtle about his crush on you, not that he was hiding it either though. You knew that he was getting all the information on you long before he confessed. Honestly, it made you feel seen in a weird way. To know that someone was so in love with you, so obsessed with you, that they memorized everything about you.
And that was Izuku Midoriya for you, your obsessed boyfriend
