Stargazing - Part I ✨🥰

So cute! 😍 I love them dancing! 🤩

If you scroll down all the way to the very bottom of my blog, you'll find a colored version of this dance scene, one of my very first Voyager/JC fan art pieces! It occurred to me that I never posted the initial B&W version(s) (one with Chakotay serious, one with him smiling), which have a completely different vibe 🖤 Hope you like them!

(Sidenote: if you're wondering why he's in civvies and she's in her dress uniform, it's because the sketch was originally inspired by a scene from my fic Louder Than Words 😉😋 One of my favorite first-kiss scenes to have ever come out of my head LOL 🥰)

I love the complexity of feelings in Resolutions. In my opinion, they were happy to return to the ship, because even if they were stranded with their Love of their Lives, they still need & want other human interactions e.g. with friends and family. (I think being condemned to see only one person for the rest of your life is a torture, even if you love that person). I interpreted their sadness at the end of the episode as being sad that they didn't have enough time to experience and build up their romantic relationship. Do you think it is reasonable to be sad not being stranded with only 1 person for the rest of your life?

A while back jmsaw2 suggested that I add illustrations to some of my fics - that's a fun thought because most of them are extremely vivid in my head (providing ample inspiration) and they offer interesting technical challenges. I'm finally at the point in my learning-how-to-draw journey where I feel I can do a decent job of it, so here's a set for you!

Memorial - Shoe Polish, Remembrance and True Love 🤭🥰

Janeway exchanges a bit of flirty banter with Chakotay before she starts remembering fighting in a brutal conflict...

...and needs to be sedated. Luckily her loyal first officer is always there to catch her...

Because in the end true love is finding it endearing when your captain drools in her sleep (and of course insisting to carry her to sickbay yourself).

"Memorial" is not a particularly JC-heavy episode, but I like the concept of this ep and every time I watch this scene (which I like a lot) THIS is what it goes on in my head 😆

A couple of things: 1) I'd definitely wear those earmuffs! Someone has to make them for me LOL 😆 2) Notice how Chakotay is already planning his revenge on Janeway in No 4... 😉🤭

While Tuvok makes the acquaintance of an intriguing holodeck character, Harry leaves to sulk in his room, and B'Elanna continues to be unimpressed with Tom and Vorik, Janeway and Chakotay have a wonderful time, safe with the knowledge that it was definitely NOT a date... 😆❤️

❤️😆 I always chuckle a little bit to myself when I work on these "cartoon Voyager" drawings, but this one actually made me laugh out loud, especially as I worked on Chakotay's sweet hula hoop hip move! 😂

So silly!! I hope it brings a smile to your face too! ❤️

Not much of a story or punch line in this one, but they're both so cute in that scene and in their luau get-up I just had to make one for this episode!

I don't think it is insulting to Prodigy/Kate/writers to ask for live-action Janeway on top of Prodigy. It is not "OR", but "AND". Kate Mulgrew herself said many times she wants live action Janeway and told the fans to let Paramount know if they want it too.

I love that Prodigy understands that Janeway has moments where she is absolutely reckless and makes batshit decisions because that is what (real) Janeway has always done. She hasn't grown out of this just because she's an admiral.

And I love that Admiral Jellicoe (Ronnie Cox) told her off for it, and she STILL is like 'let's sneak in.'

Prodigy writers absolutely understand Kathryn Janeway- far better than any other new Trek that has brought back legacy characters have.
