HIDE AND SEEK

they found you lost in the middle of the forest, crying under the tree. feeling pity, they brought you into their house for a couple of days until your parents found you, by now you being taken care of by Tokitos family.

at first, you feel anxious being around them, feeling bad cause you're not really a part of the family.

But as your bond grew, you began to talk to them a lot and play together with them; most importantly, in the game hide and seek, you usually being the hider, while Mui and Yui were Seekers. While you try your best to hide when things like this happen, they, somehow, always find you.

You and the twin are 2 years apart, and it creates a dynamic as a responsible older sibling while the twin is the mischievous youngest.

While it was fun playing, life wasn't always about just playing; you and they have chores to do, so you help each other with chores.

Weeks went by and finally, your parents found you, your mother crying and saying thank you to the Tokito family while hugging you, as your dad having a conversation with them.

As both of your parents are watching their children play, they can't help but think to themselves both of you look so cute together.

But sadly you have to move abroad to another country for some reason, so you parted ways and lost contact.

Years passed by you slowly forgot about their faces and the voices, only sharing a transparent childhood bond together.

While it makes your heart ance for the forgotten memory, you try to think about the relationship and hope for them to have a delightful and lively future.

As you decided to go back to Japan for a few years you had a slight hope that you'd meet them even though you don't remember what their faces were.

As you step again into Japan, your hometown. you feel absolute nostalgia as you look around the town you used to live in.

As you walk around the town, you don't realize that a certain long black hair boy is just walking past you...

He did notice your similarities to someone he knew though, but quickly forgot about it.

As the days go by, you Are inside your hotel room; feeling bored, you go out of the hotel and take a midnight walk to let your brain have its own thoughts.

as you walk in the middle of the road, a demon tries to eat you, but before they can, you hit them in the head. As they get stunted, you run away from them and get yourself back to the hotel.

but to your idiocy, you forgot your way to go back; you turn around to meet the demon again. They're getting closer to you, and their nail begins to look like a claw ready to stab you; you close your eyes and wait for it to end.

But it never comes; as you slowly open your eyes, you see the demon's head and arm were cut off by a certain young Hasira boy...

As you were stunned to speak, that long-haired boy looked at you with his emotionless eyes. He gave you his hand to stand up, and you took it. As you began to stand up, you looked at him with gratitude. "... thank you, euuuh miste-." " It's noting. " He cut your word and began to walk away.

The next day, you begin to meet him again and again, and you always talk to him even though he doesn't remember you nor do you know his name; he doesn't particularly even know why he was there in the first place.

At first, it was kinda annoying to him for you to have around but he was strangely fond of you.

But you didn't meet him for a few months because of the mission; of course, you didn't know about the mission, so you thought he left feeling a bit saddened.

Until he comes back to you by himself, as you begin to do your morning walk, someone familiar called your name... "(Y/N) I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK." You turn around in surprise to see the long-haired boy running after you; you stay there in shock, not expecting him to know your name...

You smile awkwardly as he begins to hug you; you hug him back before asking him, "Ehhm, hello again, mister... I know we may have talked a lot over the past few months, but...how do you know my name?" You asked him, he looked you in the eyes in shock for a few minutes before screaming his name "IT'S ME, MUICHIRO TOKITO"you thought to yourself for a moment remembering this familiar name "Mui...?,mui..., MUICHIRO IS THAT YOU ?! HOLY SHI-" you hugging him a bit tighter, the regret of you forgot his name is overflowing you.

He is still a bit angry that you forgot his name, but he doesn't say anything since he forgot about you, too.

As that awkward reunion ends, you begin to have a little conversation with each other; as you sit on a bench drinking your tea, you ask him, "So...., what do you do for a living?." You said, trying to stir up the conversation. "Killing demon," he said bluntly. "Wait wha-."

So your friend, Muichiro, is a demon slayer who slays the demon. As he says by himself, as the conversation continues, you finally catch up that his twin, Yuichiro, is dead.

A bit saddened by the loss of his twin and your childhood best friend, he swore to himself that he would protect you and the close friends he ever has.

As the days go on you become close again and completely forget they don't remember each other.

But as the day flew by, he became a bit overprotective of you. Always follows you around whenever he can; if he can't, he will send someone to watch over you.

He tries his best to convince you to come to his estates to keep you there forever, have a visit once in a while. but you usually have to refuse because you feel bad for having to visit him or you are just busy because of work.

When you do visit him, you usually help him do his chores; sometimes, you get to practice your sword with Muichiro when he has spare time. but you like to watch him when he practices his swords with his other comrades.

Sometimes you like to go out of the backyard just to watch the sky with him, with his head on your thigh while petting his head, saying random things that come out in our head.

Someday, some people are insulting you, but you brush it off another, but not him. For a couple of days, the person was missing until being found in the middle of the wood with their face, almost unidentified.

And you begin to notice some of your stuff is missing. from something small like a hair tie and some of the stuff you planned to throw away, to something that creeps you out like a novel that you finished since few days ago or a family photo you had with your family got stolen to..

you tell this to Muichiro, and now he insists that you have lived in his house for a while, you reluctantly agree and move to his house.

While you do visit his estates a couple of times you still a bit hard to navigate the house, so you sometimes do not stray far from him.

While you live at his home now, there's one room that you can't ever go in. When you asked him why he just simply stated that there are a lot of swords for only him to used.

You Respected his wishes, so you walked past them but when you heard a strange sound from it. You couldn't help but be curious.

But as you are about to open it, feel bad for breaking his promises, but as soon you open it you'll be surprised by the missing stuff be found in here.

Your initial shock turned into a scared one, you need to get out of here as fast as you can but it's pointless now...

"I've told you not to be in here..." Muichiro is right behind you.

You are a fan of kimetsu no yaiba, despite for being on tight money you still can buy some of the manga and a movie.

Imagine you buy an RPG game of your favorite anime as the player is a sidekick and a friend of the MC, Tanjiro Kamado. To your surprise, the game is quite excellent with the character's design to the story that still relates to the manga despite being a fanmade game.

To your bad habits, you became quite addicted to the game that you always Stay up late cause of the game.

Imagine, to your surprise, when you just play the game at midnight, and then the game just buffers, and the controller won't move; you are about to restart it before your laptop screen is blackout for a couple of minutes before turning blank white, hurting your eyes in the process because of sudden bright, you about to turn it off before realizing your hand being dragged to the laptop, sucking you into it. (ejejeiwmbe basic ik).

When you wake up you realize that you're in different places, not in your room but in someone room, the player room; you're replacing the player.

The player room isn't too much just a traditional Japanese home and a futon you have woken up with.

You were here before the event of the game started; if you remember the reason why the player is a demon slayer it's Because the player needs the money after so many job rejections.

After you wake up, you tidy up your room. You and about contemplating your life choices. You wanted to get out of here, so you have no choice but to follow the story of the game.

You either thought yourself or were taught by a member of Demon Slayer.

Either way, you pass the final selection somehow.

After becoming a demon slayer, you slay some demons in the night, but one day, your kasugai crow instructs you to the mansion in the forest;this is when your story begins.

You're on the way to the mansion when you notice a certain boy with a certain green and black plaid haori and a blond man on the same mission as you.

As both of you went inside, the room began to change with a drum sound synced with it. Tanjiro noticed that you weren't that surprised but he ignores it.

Then a drum sound is heard again and you're in a different room with a certain boar head right in front of you...

In the end, you survive with the other 3 demon slayers, and the two victim.

As the story progresses you begin to notice some odd things begin to merge, like some of the demon slayers began to say/act something outside of the script, have a weird talk about you.

Little did you know they began to gain sentience little by little.... also you might also reconsider your choice because ending the story won't help you.

(first writing for one shot, man I hope is not cringe but I might write a fanfic about it)

Master Ubuyasiki sent you to a serpent hashira, Obanai Iguro. while he refuses at first he finally agrees with some courage from the master.

While you were confused as to why the master chose you over thousands of demon slayers who are better than you, but you can't defy the master after all, he knew what he's doing.

As you walk to his estate with your new teacher, he lets out a deep sigh when he sees you, he can't believe he will have to have a stuguko to continue his legacy, and most importantly he can't believe himself to get to teach you a person who didn't deserve a title as a demon slayer because how weak you are.

His teaching methods are quite harsh; you get stabbed by the wooden sword despite how many you try to dodge it as if the sword that he holds doesn't follow the rules of gravity.

Maybe after a few failed attempts, you will be punished by his snake Kaburamaru running after you and biting you, or being hung upside down on the tree while your head is thrown a rock until you learn the lesson.

In turn, you became a fast learner and managed to dodge most of his attacks, and you almost managed to hit him with your wooden sword; while you are proud that your sword skill began to improve, Obanai is here to remind you that there's someone better than you.

Other than training you always tried to clean the estate when he was on the mission, sometimes you helped Kaburamaru shed his old skin.

You thought Obanai wouldn't notice what you're doing, little did you know he always watching you from a distance and Kaburamaru always tells him, it's quite endearing to see you helping around the estate while he was gone.

It's been a while now since you became his stuguko, your stamina and skill have drastically improved, and you are glad about it. Obanai is as proud as you, but in his eyes, he still sees you as a little weak. you kinda wonder why you are always given an easy mission when they can see you're an improvement in your skill.

Maybe a certain hashira was telling ubuyasiki to give you an easy task by telling him that you're a bit weaker than the other.

You slowly began closer with Obanai creating a student and teacher bond, as you began to open up to him you didn't notice a small smile hidden behind his mask happy that you were talking about yourself to him.

While your bond is close you still getting hit in the head by him while scolding you for not being careful on the last mission.

It's sometimes surprising to you that Obanai cares about the people around him and is actually quite a sensitive person.

You're sometimes going on a mission with him due to his demand by some changes, and usually after that mission he always asks you to join in one of the nearby streets food.

He sometimes gives you a gift and goes out to the places you like, and you always walk in the front feeling excited as you look around at the natural beauty of this nature; as Obanai is behind, he notice that you're wearing a hairpin that he gifted to you.

It becomes suspicious when you have fewer and fewer missions, you asked Obanai about this and he promised that he would ask Ubuyasiki himself that's been awhile though...

He just making sure that nobody hurting you, yeah sure you're strong but you're not strong enough to beat the demon let alone beat the upper moon.

"What are you writing?"you've heard a similar voice right behind you, quickly you closed your diary, not wanting for him to see. You quickly turn around as you yelled at him, " HEY! DON'T SNEAK AROUND LIKE THAT." he just rolled his eyes. he quickly gave you a hand as you slowly stood up. 

"What are you waiting for? C'mon, dad is waiting," he said as he excitedly ran into the kitchen, waiting for their dad to get their food. You signed as you slowly walk away from your room, where your brother abandoned you a few minutes ago.

After a while, your father is back from the kitchen, as he brought them a...cake?. You looked at c00lkid as he looked at you before returning our gaze to the cake, before turning up to your dad..."woah..., this-this is the best cake that I've ever seen haha-, right c00lkid?" you asked c00lkid, "uhhh, dad... is that a fire?" you looked at him with a surprised as you looked back into the cake... 

HOLY MOLY, THERE IS THE FIRE. You jumped out, surprised as the fire is expanding, "DAD, DO SOMETHING," you both said as the fire reached the table wood, with a reflect, your dad brought a fire extinguisher, finally pulled the fire out...

007n7, began to sit down into the floor completely exhausted and battered up, "kid, are you okay??" your dad said as your brother responded with that we were both alright. He sighed before laying down and beginning to close his eyes. 

"I'm sorry kid..., I should just buy some instead of making it" he said apologetically, we all stayed quite for a long while until you proposed something "uhhh, how about we watch something on the TV?, yeah?" you said as a thing to forget this...

Remembering that day, although a bit chaotic, but at least you have your family together to share those memories....

You prefer that memories happen again, then having to suffer now..

My brother is still missing after years of searching,

I'm afraid that we won't find him very soon. Dad keeps telling everything is alright, that c00lkid will come back very soon.

You finished the writing and began to close the book as you went to the kitchen to find a note on top of the sealed food. You came closer, picking up the note and reading it as you see your father won't be here for a while, and he wants you to know that.

You sighed as you crumbled up the note to the trash bin before eating the food. Your mind began to wonder what would happen if you tried to help your father? Would you find him? If it does, does he remember you? It's been years, is he really gone?

A sound of a phone ringing behind the red telephone, making your thought cut off, you sighed as you stood up and walked closer to the telephone, and picking it up, " hello?"  the caller said before continuing, " is 007n7 is here?" he asked, " no...sorry he's busy,..but I'm his child do you want to tell me something so I can assist you." you answered solemly before contently respond. 

"Uh- no I'm fine kid, I- " you cut him off. " please, I insist." the caller sighed. " fine,but you must talk to your father after this." you nodded even they didn't see you, he took a deep breath "we...we may have find your BROTHER."

You went quite for a moment "...where is he?" you stated....

and that was all you took to find him.

You finished your food halfway done as you began to pack up, 'You do it now or never, ' you thought. You pack your food, medkit, clothes, some essentials into your bag and begin to walk out before looking back...

You pick up the paper and begin to write...

The sound of a door closing echoes through the empty house...

You don't know how much longer you stayed in this bus, all you know it was already late afternoon when you see a town where the caller lives, you immediately walked out of the bus after you paid and left you in the bus station, instead of coming to the caller home, you make a sharp turn to the left where there's an abandon park filled with a dead houses and moss...

You quickly sign up for a cheap hotel room and begin to eat at the nearest cafe, waiting for the night to come...

DIFFRENT POV:

It was already dark when I got home...

'Why is the light still off?' I asked myself before shrugging that (y/n) must be tired...

I walked closer and closer to the door and finally unlocked it only to reveal an empty place. I pulled down my bag into the nearest counter before roaming into the kitchen, before realizing that the table had half-eaten food on top of it...

Okay, this is freaking me out I said as I ran into (y/n) bedroom only to reveal an empty room with a few places are now gone...

'GOD, WHERE ARE THEY NOW'
