Ah, alright! So, here:

My take on the Photographer.

I like to think that the animal bots in the area, kind of like with fishbot and lonely wizbot, are cyborg beings that were once flesh. In the wasted world (haha) of Botopia, there's no place for flesh and blood creatures. Very little safety or care is given to ensure they even have land. Much of the once wooded island is even just.. a muddy, rocky expanse.

So wouldn't the person documenting and actively collecting proof life existed want to preserve it?

I designed him based on that purpose! Those fins allow it to work almost like a sonar, sensing around the area. The horns are like the antennae on a radio, allowing the Photographer deposit photos into a drive within Botopia. Not to mention pincers along his body that work like spider mandibles, that can trap and contain prey, but seem almost incomplete.

This is because it ran out of parts eventually. That's a large reason why there's so, so little of anything left near the cabin. It used up its resources. So he could only use bits of his body to complete that work. Of course, the fellow sees no issue with that. It can still complete its work by having strung itself up inside of its darkroom alongside the vines and moss, sending out a small drone to do the work they had once done.

The Photographer could certainly make synthetic skin and allow itself to become a beast-like being.. but it values the purity of life. It trusts and loves so dearly in the flesh and blood beings it once only preserved in photos.

I see edgy jokes about the Inside Out emotions like "haha they'd have to endure all your grossest fetishes" or "lol what if they were stuck in a serial killer" but both films repeatedly remind the audience that these beings *are* you and vice versa, sharing all your inclinations. No matter the depraved atrocities befouling your putrid soul I'm afraid it is established canon that those little Pixar Muppet people held a hilarious meeting about it and decided by popular vote that it was an exciting and productive direction to steer your wretched existence. Fool.

sorry im thinking about how vi spends her teenage years being discouraged by her peers & talked down to by her sister, having no support for what she wants to do because no one thinks she can do it, so when she leaves she's believed herself to be perfectly self-reliant and not needing anyone else, where the only reason she teams up with kabbu is so she can get her permit

how praise really does get her anywhere because nobody gave it to her before, and the only reason she doesn't ditch kabbu is because he called her a reliable teammate, how that was enough for her to feel guilty and come back in spite of her fear

and how fast-forward to the termite kingdom she says her dreams are coming true, how she welcomes the support of others when she used to think she didn't need it, how she reconciles with her sister & the hive because her friends teach her that it's not worth it to hold petty grudges, how her abandoning kabbu becomes a point of teasing bc they all know she would never do something like that again & i just

Hoaxe named his axe "Slayer" in the same way that a boy who has just learnt a language wants to give his favorite toy a cool name, I think.

So I am assuming that he has just learnt Bugnish.

This headcanon has created another headcanon, in which Hoaxe does not hate Fuff. Because Hoaxe gave Fuff a cool name, Ultimax.

Fuff is Wasp Kingdom general whom Hoaxe hates. So why is he not an object of hatred?

I assume that there are several Wasp Kingdom generals. And Fuff was not involved in bullying Hoaxe... maybe something trivial helped Hoaxe.

Fuff's arm collided with Hoaxe in hallway of the wasp hive, causing Hoaxe to fall. Fuff casually reached out a hand to fallen Hoaxe and said, "Sorry, are you alright?"....Such a really trivial thing, something that Fuff himself does not seem to remember anything about...

I think it would be fun, in my opinion, if what Hoaxe did for Fuff was a distorted repayment of a favour.
