ur au idea is killing me i can just imagine - diego: oh you found vanya? Five: yes, i found my *throws an arm over her shoulders* it was a miracle *glares at diego from behind vanya* i haven't been so happy since our *kisses her pointedly on the cheek* diego: ... klaus, walking in: oh sweet my favorite sister! five: sIsTeR-iN-lAw YoU iDiOt.
Anon, I love your mind. The hijinks that could take place would have me in absolute stitches!
My other idea surrounding the same theme would be that Five does actually say he’s her brother but the rest of the family being ginormous assholes convince Vanya that Five is lying to protect her from feeling pressured into anything.Â
Queue Vanya trying to subtly imply that she’s cool with it (brushing hands, kissing him on the cheek frequently) meanwhile Five is just like wtf and stressin’
I need a word for "not a secret relationship, our friends are just idiots." Like, is there a tag for that? Because I know there's a tag for "not in a relationship, our friends just might be smarter than we are."
erm sorry my art style KEEPS CHANGING (also i made this on a whim lol)
ive been playing a lot of regretevator so uhhhhhh
To me, the craziest thing about this panel isn't the extremely charged handshake, nor the intense eye contact, but rather the perspective.
Furudate is really good at toying with perspective to convey the story's motifs and themes. Here, thanks to the perspective, it looks like the net is above Hinata and Kageyama, when in fact it isn't that tall. In fact, I know it's right between them. But with the way this panel was drawn, it looks like they're facing each other with an unobstructed view.
The imagery here is clear: it doesn't matter that they're on opposite sides of the net now, there's nothing keeping them apart anymore. They stand on even ground, on equal footing, face to face.
3 generations of yaoi in one panel
“Those two things can exist at the same time. Like you said, it's all—it's all tangled up together, you and me.”
double page spread for one of my favorite luzo fics of all time, poly philtatos (the most beloved by far) by my good friend - @swordsmans!
I knew I wanted to do a double page spread the second I finished this fic and I drafted abt a dozen ideas before landing on what would ultimately become this. There were so many snippets and moments I wanted to illustrate but I ended up doing more of an abstracted version of the fic as opposed to 1:1 drawings of scenesÂ
funnily enough while the fic itself is told in zoros pov this spread is framed mostly through luffy’s eyes - his tears literally frame comp for their reunion, the moment he loses zoro, and the centerpiece of the first page which is this weird abstraction of him on the beach seeing zoros corpse-not-a-corpse in the waves just beyond his reach.Â
gyro put the crane wives’ never love an anchor on the playlist for this fic which i heavily used as inspiration in picking ornamental things for the spread (the anchor, the fleet of ships by luffy, and the nautical rope splitting the second page). also just like. overall really heartbreaking lyrics guysÂ
there are smaller elements throughout the spread that are 1:1 references though (all i will say for these is if you know, you know hehe) i wish i had more time to do a lengthier piece for fanart for this fic bc it's one of the few luzo fics that have been rattling around in my brain forever now - once again please please please read poly philtatos if you haven't. gyro is a masterful writer and they deserve all the love! ok byeee
100% would happen with them đź’€

thinking about how none of the strawhats have ever known a luffy without zoro.
everyone joined the crew to witness this oddly content and peaceful, terrifying duo. their dynamic is sweet and funny, almost gentle, something you would expect from childhood friends who have been next to each other for so long they don’t always need words. and then again, they are something else when they are in battle.
they trust each other like they are extensions of themselves, they know each other inside and out like they are telepathic, they get each other so completely.
i’m sure everyone who joined the crew looked at them and must’ve thought at one point that there has never been a time where they have not known each other. until nami tells them, oh, they met a few weeks before i joined.
the shock that must come from learning their bond is nearly as young as all of theirs, and not a product of existing next to each other for years.
how baffling it must be to watch them save each other like it’s breathing, to rely on each other without question or thought in fights, and to realise they only spent such a marginal time alone before everyone else began to join them.
to never know a luffy without zoro, or a zoro without luffy, it must be hard to ever imagine a time where they weren’t by each other’s side.
It's actually depressing to do things in your own time, way and opinion. Mostly because people often disagrees with you and they prefer to do what's more popular now, and if you don't follow the trend, you're just a weirdo trying to fit in. A block in a jigsaw puzzle. But don't let it bring you down. There are still people who will accept you for who you are.
