Double Trouble

The names Minnesota, in the US, and Winnipeg, in Canada, have the same meaning. Minnesota means “murky water” in Sioux. Winnipeg means “murky water” in Cree.

“I love Moana, she rocks her curly hair and looks so pretty doing it, I used to get called Hagrid as a kid for mine so it means a lot to me. It makes me not hate my hair. However I’m not a person of colour, so I’m too scared to tell anyone in case I get ranted at, as my hair’s not exactly the same as hers.“
