My point is that depression is not universal and while there is a general cluster of symptoms, it manifests differently in everyone. You can’t always spot depression on the street, in the grocery store, or at them gym. Depression doesn’t always jump out at you and let you know that there’s a person who is hurting deeply. Don’t contribute to stigmatization.
Not the worst view to have dinner to. So grateful that I get to drink this in. And to share with good people. @franko472003 @geminijaime https://www.instagram.com/p/B2r1cUUB2D8/?igshid=m6wszrk9bm8j
Don't try to be the person who you or anyone else thinks you are 'supposed to be'. Just do your best at being who you actually are. #bekindtoyourself #healingjourney #wholesomememes https://www.instagram.com/raistlinsghost/p/CXEEodtrl6f/?utm_medium=tumblr

Been getting a higher frequency of migraines lately. More anxiety + more insomnia = more migraines, and they're both triggers for me. Becomes a bit of a vicious cycle. Tried to make it through a work day but had to bail at halftime today. I came home to do a gentle yoga and meditation practice and got some help from one of my furry friends. She pretty much refused to get off of me. I think she believes that if she sits on me I'll feel better. I think she's right. #migrainelife #migrainesupport #therapycat https://www.instagram.com/p/B0RuGLLhOKb/?igshid=6ya9rnm7brja
Who you vote for is no one's business but your own. But it only takes a few minutes to exercise a privilege so many people in the world are denied. And if you don't vote, you don't get to complain about whatever government gets formed tonight, imo. #election2019 #canadavotes #dontvotedontbitch https://www.instagram.com/p/B35HWTRB56ZTDlK0xNA6tpAPX1R8ts5O8LB66o0/?igshid=4814v1acqtpo

I'd pick this one for sure. If only...
Me to myself, most days.
Beverly Crusher being a whole mood
We often see what we want to see, and we all have our own inherent bias and pattern recognition. That said, I went in cold turkey to the movie Thunderbolts* when my daughter and I went to see it recently. I didn't watch any trailers, avoided spoilers, etc.
And what I saw was me.
Here's My Short Spoiler-Free Review:
I was not at all expecting the amount of depth the story has
There are some very authentic-feeling portrayals of living with mental illness
It was fucking awesome
And My Slightly Longer And Still Not Very Spoilery Review:
As a person who lives with mental illness, I got to see A LOT of what I feel, have felt, have experienced reflected in a certain character's own experiences. And their journey isn’t just an inclusivity checkmark; it’s the core of the movie. I think a lot of people will see themselves reflected here, and by not explicitly stating this character’s diagnosis, they allow the story to include anyone who lives with mental illness, addictions, trauma.
And all of the thoughtful and nuanced handling of mental health notwithstanding, this is just a great movie all around. You should go see it.
