I like to imagine that at some point Mondo was trying to act cool like “yeah I run a biker gang it’s a pretty big deal” and Kiyotaka is intrigued so he’s like “oh wow I have a bike too!” and Mondo’s genuinely surprised so he asks if Kiyotaka maybe wants to ride with them and Kiyotaka gets all excited because he doesn’t really have friends he can hang out with so he agrees and then like a week later he shows up where Mondo’s gang hangs out riding a bicycle with both a little bell and a basket on the front and he’s just staring at all of these guys with huge motorcycles like “I have made a grave mistake.”

When that one dude from your class is screaming-crying due to witnessing his only friend who he even called brother being horribly executed by a robot bear for killing the small one that had self esteem issues respectig his strength.
