I love the prompt about with the spouses already being friends before they meet their Bridgertons. I wonder about Colin and Eloise's reaction to seeing Pen again. I can only imagine the scene they'll make. As you wrote, their not subtle. Poor Penelope trying to get away from both but espacially Colin, and Philip trying to distract them, only to be distracted by Eloise.

i can imagine that when almost everyone is with a Bridgerton they’re just making fun of each other and when the last couple get together everyone just find it an hilarious coincidence!

also i don’t know between Sophie, Kate and Lucy being the most anti - posh and so they just keep throwing shades at each other

As you can see I have a very popular request for this au.

I like to think that they still fall in love in the same order they did in the books, or start hooking up that way at least.

At the very least Simon and Daphne are the first ones to get together. They're the friendliest and don't have a weird block/history between them the way polin and franchel would have.

They might be what also gets the two groups to come together as one.

The friend group is hesitant when interacting with basically the definition of old money and posh Bridgertons with Simon being the exception. Michael and Phillip are the spares, Gareth was treated like a spare, Penelope left high society years ago, and Kate, Sophie, and Lucy were never part of that life. So when saphne started dating Daphne was determined to formally meet the people her boyfriend considered his siblings, he's met her's after all.

The boys were easy enough, all of them were gentlemen, and Simon was there to help.

Daphne was determined to meet the girls on her own and invited them over for tea. It was pretty awkward to say the least when it started. None of them were mean or anything but it was hard to find common ground. That's when Penelope took pity on Daphne and dug through her head for a common topic.

She landed on music. Daphne lit up talking about it and in turn it helped bring out the other girls artistic sides with Kate's watercolors, Sophie's tattoos, Penelope's writings and Lucy's photography.

This tea time is how the points game started. In a way it was Daphne asking for the others to let her know if she starts doing something posh and she would try to lower her score each time.

Then with Daphne coming around more often her siblings followed behind until they were all one giant group hanging out and giving the Bridgertons posh points.

Imma go ahead and say it: there's nothing homophobic about not liking what they did to michael's character!!!!!

It's just sad for us book readers, who have read about Francesca, and Michael, plus adored their dynamic to see how they butchered him, and basically robbed Francesca of her storyline and wish which was "wanting a child and the desire to be a mother."

I have no issues with them casting poc as actors/actresses instead of keeping the canonically white folk as they were. My issue is just how they turned a canonically male character into female for no apparent reason, by all means I would have clapped and cheered if they cast a poc actor as Michael because that wouldn't really affect anything regarding him and Francesca's story, as we see with Simon and Daphne.

And If they wanted inclusivity why not just make new characters, and give them plots of their own instead of messing with og characters, and their stories?

Yep EXACTLY!! someone give me regency era Schroeder yearning for Lucy.

Like maybe they were engaged to marry when they were kids ny their parents. Lucy was happy about it obviously but Schroeder wasn't.

So it's the same dynamic between the two as we are used to. Then one day, either Lucy's parents changed their mind and cancel to engagement to marry her with someone more powerful. Or another gentleman start courting her and Schroeder get jealous. And Lucy is hesitant at first but them when she get to know her new suitor she realised she liked the attention and she's so sure Schroeder isn t interested that she just start moving on.

Oooh the angst when Schroeder realises it.

And now I NEED to know their children’s full names!!! It seems the Omatikaya inherit the family’s names from the father, but Norm’s wife is Olangi, so we don’t know if it’s the same for them. If it is, they would need to “Na'vi-fy” Norm’s name like they did with Jake. And I need to know his wife’s name as well, and more info about Popiti and her sibling, if they’re friends with the Suli kids and they bond over the fact that they have an avatar/human father as well. I already love this little family so much

Thinking about how Spider finally became what everyone wanted him to be. A "traitor", and it only took every adult neglecting, socially isolating and keeping him at arm’s length for sixteen years! 😀

You were an art child, a lover of painting, best friend of dance and everything related. Perhaps to compensate you for the trauma you just experienced, they gave you what you never asked for or never had.

You were the creation of an infinite love, the love of your parents was something you admired that despite the years, no matter if your mother had wrinkles and her makeup looked strange, your father still loved her so much. You wished that a love like this would find you when you were a teenager, an adult, or old enough.

But it didn't happen, it really didn't happen and your parents weren't there to see you grow up, you ended up in the orphanage for many years, without the love of your them and without properly experiencing all the effects of your childhood.

Suddenly a strange man, with a dark and strange aura, found you among all the lovely children. You, you were the only thing he had left of his old friends, the little matriarch of the family, the last descendant of (surname).

And so you ended up in the mansion, growing up what remained of your almost childhood with some children, you vaguely remember having arrived at a critical moment in the Wayne family, they had lost a loved one. You would have liked to have gotten to know him properly to feel more for his loss, but all that was left was to grieve and wish for a good rest. You didn't have many details but it was understandable, you were a stranger who had just arrived, you seemed like an easy replacement but you knew that no one can replace anyone else.

That was some bullshit to make the person feel more guilty.

You feel like your memories are lost, some you remember very well and others are as if your mind has blocked them. It frustrated you because you currently didn't remember much about your past, your origin or your own parents, that billionaire man who was kind enough to adopt you made sure that you have some things of the (surname) family, enough for you to be aware that you were someone and not just nobody, that your name and surname had weight in the present.

Anyway, that didn't matter in your current plans.

More children were coming into the family, some old enough and others still perhaps pre-teens. This wasn't your family completely and you didn't really make an effort to remember some names, you knew that somehow, you were never welcome enough at their events.

You were just someone someone else left and that was it. Bruce never took the time to get to know you properly and you realized he only wanted you to keep the memory of his deceased friends alive. You were the last thing they left behind apart from their legacy and fortune.

This family was broken, so broken.

And a broken person can't fix this family, they can only make it worse.
