Think if the Grey Terminal fire still happens in the baby luffy au, but Sabo manages to come back for his brothers.
Sabo, with a burn scar/mark in almost half of his face. Sabo, who fears that baby Luffy will be afraid of him after this new "thing" in his face. Sabo, who does not expected to Luffy just put his little hand on his now burned cheek, smiling so brightly as if his old brother was the same.

Big fan of headcanons where the "successful" four Germa children's modifications have detriments. Give me Niji's electricity causing him nerve pain and spasms. Give me Ichiji needing regular grafts to the skin around his "eyes," which aren't even flesh anymore because although enhanced, his body can't handle the sheer level of heat from his lasers. Give me Yonji being in constant danger of being harmed by the amount of shrapnel that ends up in his system every time he's damaged, or being poisoned by the leaching metal. Give me Reiju not only being able to process poisons but to some extent needing to, because her biological system is so re-wired it can't produce some of the chemicals it requires. Give me consequences. Give me mortals who were never meant to be artificially pushed to this strength.
never lose hope
why are we always talking about luffy changing ace but never about how ace changed luffy?
luffy's unconditional love for ace and ace's love for luffy dulled ace's cruel edges, very very precious YES but what about luffy having so so so much love for ace to be that younger brother instead of the angry, lonely boy shanks met at foosha
eating him tuesday
