To All Writers And Readers

This is just a vent/rant post so if you wanna skip you can.

To All writers and readers

Can people who write stories PLEASE PLEASE stop saying it's _____ x reader then in the middle of me reading it I see a description that could never be me. I understand you don't know what all your readers look like but at that point it isn't an x reader it's x oc and I'm sure the writing is still great but I don't have straight hair, I'm not 4'11 or 5'7, I don't have freckles, I don't have beautiful green eyes, and not everyone is curvy. Nothing is wrong with these traits they are all beautiful traits but they aren't all readers it would be easier if you put oc at the top or something. It makes me feel a little sad cause it makes me think that the comfort characters or the character/person I'm reading won't want me cause everytime I see reader I see the description of someone that doesn't even look anywhere close to me. It's like hey it's a y/n story but she/he/they look how I want them to look.

And I know it's their story but a warning at the top would be nice and I'm sure it's really hard to write some of this stuff believe me I've literally tried. Kudos to those who actually still write and to those who write these types of stories. I'm sorry if this seems like a really harsh bash just please put a warning or something at the top that says "It's a y/n/ reader story but it includes my own description of the reader" yk what I mean

so if you've been here on my page, you will have noticed i dropped off the face of the earth. despite being fully vaccinated i have contracted covid 3 times, this has caused me to have damage to my lungs and heart, all of which i will need surgery for.

i am a college student who is raising five kids that are not mine due to family circumstances. the place i work has been temporarily closed because of a covid outbreak so i have 0 income at the moment.

i have to pay my own medical bills that insurance won't cover, college, and put food on the table every single night regardless of my physical or mental health.

this is not only my coming back on here post but i am reaching out to my friends here on tumblr and my gang.

Nah cause this I literally can't turn red

the slasher community on here & ao3 needs to be more inclusive towards black people because tell me why tf i keep seeing “your face turned red” “he carded his fingers through your silky hair” cuz no tf he didn’t 😂 literally almost every fic i’ve read had a variation of that face turning red line, it’s so hard to ignore when it’s constantly happening & none of you give a fuck about your black readers enough to care
