I don’t know which fic writer needs to hear this but it’s unreasonable to expect of yourself to write all the story ideas that your mind comes up with. That’s not how creativity works! Unless you’re some kind of Productivity Georg that types at a laptop keyboard all day long, your mind just needs to rotate ideas and concepts like a room full of rotisserie chicken production lines. Some of them will end up being fully written, some of them will end up being 4 lines, some of them will be concepts inside a long list of fic ideas that will never get written, some of them will just fade. And that’s okay! You don’t have to beat yourself up for having a lot of ideas you don’t write, or a lot of wips you write a few lines or pages of and never finish. You wouldn’t expect an illustrator to just churn out full-ass paintings all the time, an artist will also just make sketches, line art, warm-up exercises, will just scribble some lines on a piece of paper. Your ideas and wips are just the same thing: warm-up sketches, exercises in creativity. And it’s also okay if you never really produce full fics, as long as your brain enjoys the exercise. Jogging across the neighborhood is not useless unless you win a marathon! It gives you endophins and strengthens your muscles and is healthy for you all around, right? Your fic ideas and pile of wips are the jogging. They give your brain the happy chemicals and exercise your creative muscles. You are not a failure for not turning your ideas into finished products. That’s just how it works.

Anyone else randomly remember a show you watched when you were younger and then scroll the tag for it and are reminded of things in it. Like plot or. Characters. Anything. And it just makes u laugh? I was just cackling over normal shot in a show i used to watch. Cause its funny.

Bonus points if, upon reflecting, the show was not appropriate to be watching at the age you were watching it.

One of the things that pisses me off most about this genocide and overall occupation is how many people say it's so complicated and there's so much nuance and there isn't one easy solution. This is one of the simplest things I have ever seen. Zionists invaded palestine in 1947-48. They have occupied it for 76 years while taking more and more land. And now they are committing another genocide against them. Where is the complication? What is hard to understand? "Well, Jewish people need a place where they won't be discriminated against" I absolutely agree. So make every country in the world safe for Jewish people. Fight against anti Semitism across the world. Don't commit a genocide and set up an ethnostate.

For those of you who want to lock all of your works with all the silly AI scraping of AO3 (which AO3 is recommending you lock your works, as stated in this post)

Here is a quick and easy guide of how to edit ALL of your works at once.

From your Dashboard click on “edit works” on the far right. This will bring up all of your works that you can select.

Select all the works you want to edit, then hit “Edit” at the bottom right.

Scroll to nearly the bottom of the page where you find “Visibility” and select “only show to registered users” and then update at the bottom.

That’s it, all of your works have now been locked without having to go in and edit each fic individually.

Hey queen. You seem v knowledgeable about pro-Palestinian charities. Would you mind making a post or giving some info on which ones are really effective and honest abt their work? I've been hearing some problematic things about UNRWA, and Save the Children seems to be doing very little (as far as I am informed). I donate to PCRF and MAP, but don't know any other, smaller orgs that may also need more awareness? Thanks ♥

hello, thanks for sending this in. so i've been trying to find smaller orgs for palestine that are specifically for helping gaza, but the issue is not much aid is being let in. PCRF is a really good org in my opinion, I'd always donate to them regardless.

There's also the Palestine Museum, which does really great cultural preservation work.

Palestine Legal is a legal aid group that helps palestinian and palestinian advocacy facing legal challenges.

Palestine Action is a direct action group that helps do disruptive protests.

Samidoun helps palestinian prisioners around the world and keeps and eye on them.

Within Our Lifetime is an NYC based palestinian led organization.

Palestinian Youth Movement is a favorite for Turtle Island led Palestinian resistance.

Palestine Feminist Collective is a Turtle Island feminist movement that works to spread culture and information.

Good Shephard Collective seems to be doing good work in Bethlehem as well.

I would mostly look for mutual aid groups for people from Gaza if you want to donate to them. Aya Ghanamah retweets mutual aid groups a lot.

I might share more groups in a second reblog after I hear back on best ways to help them.
