Judgement should lead to solution

Dear Psychology Today,

No need to monetarily spend it to value your time, but good for you to discover the term intagible. Oh the extra letters we all indulge to express how sophisticated we are.

Zsolt Hlinka Features A Profile Of Symmetrical Buildings On The Bank Of River Danube

Zsolt Hlinka (previously featured here) is an artist based in Budapest. To express himself as an individual, he has always referred to his lifelong passion of photography as an outlet. His art focuses on urban landscape and lighting and his prime obsession is with finding geometry and symmetry in structures. Unlike other photographers who collectively take in the entire scene in urban photography, Hlinka focuses on a singular subject and captures a moment.

In his latest project titled Urban Symmetry, we probe into Zsolt Hlinka’s display of luxuriant buildings banked on the River Danube. He intelligently eliminates all other distractions of the environment and isolates the building in a uniform space to bring the audiences’ eyes to the lines of the building. Surprisingly, none of the buildings are exhibited in their complete form which hints why the artist wants to create curiosity in the spectator’s mind and condense the nature of the framework into a single shot. With the use of matching the background color to the building itself at a point blank view, the artist creates a profile - a unique identity to the building giving it character and life. Zsolt Hlinka’s Urban Symmetry series proves that symmetry in architecture does not make a structure dispassionate, but gives it freedom to set its own attributes.
