so systemic oppression and state-sanctioned witchhunts of grisha leads aleksander to create a sanctuary for other grisha but because of how shitty the world treats him, he drives off the moral event horizon and tries to gain more power and put a stop to the endless wars while the "good guys" show up at the last second and decide he's evil and must be killed but after they kill him things are worse for grisha and the wars continue and all the systemic issues that led to aleksander being the kind of man he was still exist so....wtf did they accomplish or even learn?

Look, I’m not saying that showing Thomas and James “adopting” Abigail Ashe is something the show should have done, but if it had then that would have been the 2nd show I was into in which two men unofficially adopt a teenage girl specifically named Abigail after one of them killed her original father, which I will say, would’ve been pretty fucking hilarious.

this pride month, please please please do not let the black lives matter movement go ignored. the lgbtq movement owes so much to black members of our community. we are not free until all of us are.

what is happening now is change in action. if you care about activism, and you should, you know that blm deserves to be seen, their voices to be heard.

pride matters, and we should still celebrate, still fight, still demand our place in the world. but black and indigenous people need our support right now. cops are not our friends. oppression is never okay. privilege is never comfortable. if you are white or non-black, refuse to let support for blm die down.

this pride, let’s fight for each other. demand spaces for lgbtq people of colour. let their voices be heard. listen.

If you feel like you’re disobeying God, questioning your faith, or feel wrong and dirty for loving who you love, there’s this fantastic site I found today called hoperemains that accurately and thoroughly combs through scripture and its (many) mistranslations, validates your orientation, and basically let’s you know that you’re not pissing off God. It’s insanely thorough and after reading through every page on the entire site it’s super helpful. Go check it out!

we’re doing marx next week in intro to philosophy and i for one can not wait to hear the takes from some great classmates such as 

dude who sits in front of an NRA flag every week and talks about Liberty and how proud he was to serve in the army. (he’s the one who for some reason thought socrates was christian. guaranteed to voice his opinion at length about how evil communism is)

girl who wears a MAGA hat every week despite being indoors and on a zoom call. likes to chime in at least once to bring up jesus. i will acknowledge that she does make decent connections between what we’re discussing and the bible and she’s definitely getting participation credit in, but really you dont need to say “Jesus said that God loves us and we should be nice :)” every time. we get it. (honestly i think she might agree with the passages we’ve been assigned so im interested to see that happen)
