if tumblr was a forest i'd "re-log" posts ha ha
Man I just found your art and I love it!! It reminds me of Rosina Wachtmeister's cat sculptures and it's making me very nostalgic.
Ok ok here's my question: On your Patreon it says that you take inspiration from 80s toys. I'm very curious as to what toys, could you recommend/list some of your favourites? I'd love to check them out! :)
oh thank you! and omg, i had to look up rosina wachtmeister because i didn't recognize her by name but i literally have a print of one of her paintings on my wall! definitely love the vibes she's got going.
hmmm as for toys i'm honestly not like, a hardcore collector or super knowledgeable about them, i just appreciate those that i do come across! I really like early my little ponies aesthetics, and of course both vintage and modern kaiju figures. big fan of the knockoff "chinosaurs" (sorry about the name) that some of the first DND monsters were based off of too. unfortunately i think some of the coolest weird toys are the random unbranded ones which can be hard to find and harder to find info on. i lucked out and found the entire set of these "ugly wugglies" pencil holders(?) at my local grocery store a few years back, and i love them to pieces
Women!!!!!!!!!!!
Yoo I was wondering if you were chill with people using your art as tattoos. Looking at ur most recent Luna pic on Reddit
OH SHIT!! YEAH!! that's totally fine! If you end up getting it I'd love to see it! Here is a clearer image of the drawing:
my little… whimsical alien creatures, i guess

Unpopular opinion but style theft is real if you literally draw the same subjects that the artist you stole from draws. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE IP ART STYLES. But if you copy someone's unique art style to the smallest detail to the point where people are confused about who drew it, then it's pretty obvious that you're trying to profit from another person's creativity. There is nothing wrong with inspiration, taking details you like from another artist and adding them to your drawings, taking part in an art style challenge, or even imitating their techniques AS LONG as you add your own spin to it!! No one owns concepts, no one owns styles, but I would consider piggy-backing on a small artist just to get yourself seen and noticed WRONG!!!!! THE JOY OF BEING AN ARTIST IS EXPERIMENTING AND FINDING OUT WHAT WORKS FOR YOU!! You are literally hindering your improvement if you rely on the creativity and rules another artist has worked hard to develop specifically for THEMSELVES. Even young artists who start out copying other people always end up growing and wanting to make something that represents them instead.
This is why no one likes those white boy Basquiat impersonators on Instagram, even though they adore Basquiats' original pieces. The history and meaning are lost and replaced with a horrible attempt at gaining clout and recognition. Basquiat is not a small artist, but I hope you understand my point. It would be an original piece if, for example, a person made a self-portrait using the Basquiat art style, rather than just recreating something that already exists with absolutely no creative input on their end.
People get built different. We don't have to figure it out. We just need to respect it.
