Happy New Year!!!! 2020 is here!!! Final drawing of the decade. Had to draw my two main characters from my original story Eclipse. I felt inspired to draw them while I was listening to "Into the Unknown" by Panic at the Disco.

The Mansion- Oc snippet

The Mansion

              Coming to a stop, the group of seven teens took in giant gulps of air.  A girl with black and white hair let out a ragged breath and said, “We need to get somewhere safe for the night.  Those people are not going to stop looking for us.  We need to find shelter and fast.”

              The boy with spiky yellow blond hair (which seemed to have been electrocuted) spoke up offering, “My house isn’t far from here, Casper.  We could head there for the night, plus my mom might know what to do.”  

The girl, Casper, looked skeptically at him as she replied, “Alright, we can head to your house; but unless we all agree in sharing what happened in the caves back there, we are not telling your mom.  No offense, Quest, but we have no idea if she will turn us in or not, or if she will even believe us.  I know you and Journey might be comfortable in telling your mom, but she is a complete stranger to Zoe, Max, Phoenyx, and I.  I for one do not feel comfortable in sharing what happened in the caves to a stranger, no matter whose parent it is.”  The boy, Quest, started to make a comment, but was stopped by a girl with golden blonde hair that had a blue strip in it.

The girl cut him off by voicing her opinion, “I agree with Casper, Quest. She has a point about your mom being a complete stranger to most of the group, but you should all know that you can trust her. Quest and I knew about this stuff before the caves, and his mom is the one who helped us through it. We don’t have to tell her right away, but I suggest we do tell her at some point as she might be able to help.”

Looking at the rest of the group to try and see what they were thinking, the girl saw a mixture of emotions.  A girl with a lion’s mane for hair showed her fear of the situation they were in, while the tallest boy of the group stood close to her trying to comfort her in a brotherly manner. The girl who had jet black hair seemed to be deep in thought, while the boy with white hair wore a perfect poker face.  Finally, the boy with white hair spoke up, “Since I doubt anyone has made up their minds about what Journey said, I say we start heading over to your place, Quest.  We don’t need those guys to catch our trail and follow us there.  Max, Phoenyx, Zoe are you guys good to go?”  The tallest boy, who also had light purple hair, nodded at his name.  The lion’s mane girl, Phoenyx, nodded as well.  Finally, Zoe, the one with jet black hair, nodded in agreement; and with that they headed off.  Quest and Journey were in the front leading the way with Max, Phoenyx, and Zoe in the middle; while Casper and Orion took up the back.

After a long walk through the woods, the teens found themselves in front of two large iron gates.  As they stood there, the seven looked up to see dark storm clouds rolling over head.  Breaking the momentary silence, Quest said, “We should head inside my house to get out of the storm that’s coming.  I have a feeling it’s going to be bad.”

              Journey nodded in agreement, and soon the group was heading down the drive.  When the house, or rather mansion came into view, most of the group was taken aback as they had never been to Quest’s house before.  As they stopped and stared at the building, it started to rain, at which the group started sprinting toward the house.

              Reaching the door, Quest entered first and was quickly followed by Journey, Zoe, Phoenyx, Max, Orion, and Casper.  The teens were soaking wet from the torrential down pour outside, but they didn’t really notice as they were to busy taking in the massive inside of the mansion.  To their left was a grand living room with a ginormous flat screen TV and Christmas Tree.  In front of them was an amazing double staircase that was separated in the middle to make a path towards the back of the house, and to their left was a music room with all the instruments one could imagine. Most of the group remained shocked until they heard a stern voice call out.

              “Quest Xavier Zander, where have you been?  Oh, hi Journey dear.  I have been worried all night waiting for you.  No text, no call, no nothing from you,” stated the woman, almost yelling.  She hadn’t seemed to notice the rest of the group as Quest meekly stated that his phone had lost charge.  She proceeded to ask, “Why then did you not use Journey’s phone or not charge your own phone?”  

At this point, Quest looked like he wanted to disappear into the floor; but before his mother could go any further, Phoenyx let out a sneeze that caught the woman’s attention.  She finally seemed to register that there were more teens in her foyer than she had first thought.  Quest’s mom quickly scanned the group and saw that they were all soaking wet.  She quickly regained focus and said, “Quest, take the two young men up to one of the spare rooms and lend them some of your clothes to change into.  I will take the girls and have them borrow some to Journey’s spare clothes that she has here,” and with that she led the girls up the right staircase while Quest lead the boys up the left one.

Tiny 12 y/o percy, standing in the lake, wounded and exhausted after a game he knew nothing about, a game he spent stumbling around till he reached the lake shore, the subtle show of his fighting getting better near the water.

Tiny 12 y/o percy confused more than ever, looking up at the glowing trident, backdropped by the vast lake and the mountain range behind him, getting claimed by one of the most powerful gods, ruler of the seas and agent of chaos, a forbidden child. Reading this moment as a child who so painfully related to him was like, Ha! See? How dare you call him a loser! He's going to be the most powerful demigod, meant for all the glory!!

But watching this as an adult is like. Have you ever bitten off more than you can chew? Have you ever been part of a legacy you never wanted? Have you ever been drop kicked into a high pressure situation that can alter your life completely, With little to no guidance? Have you ever been subject to trauma simply because of who you are?

That's no glory. That's the world expecting too much from someone who's been told too little. Someone who's been made to feel too little. That is the story of someone who hasn't prepared enough, hasn't lived enough and hasn't experienced enough, being forced to handle the weight of the world too soon.

Elemental Miracle Box

The Elemental Miracle Box is one of the oldest Miracle boxes and is sometimes thought to be as old as the Chinese Mother Miracle Box.

This box, while not completely lost to time, has had multiple Guardians watch over it over the years. Each Guardian took the knowledge from the previous one and would add or twist or experiment with the miraculi and the rules that went along with it. Without the strict teachings from the Order of the Guardians, many of the strict rules and regulations slowly faded as time went on. Until it surfaced again with its current Guardian.

The Elemental Miracle Box has a lot of miraculi as like it's name suggests; the box contains the concepts of elements. Not the Periodic elements though, but the mythical elements that many have deemed to be things of legends.

The Elemental Miracle Box contains three layers, with each layer containing the more rarer elements as it descends.

Layer One:

-- The Emerald Dragon Miraculous: Dawwn, the Kwami of Energy

-- The Phoenix Miraculous: Duskk, the Kwami of Void

Layer Two:

-- The Gorilla Miraculous: Rockyy, the Kwami of Earth

-- The White Wolf Miraculous: Shardd, the Kwami of Ice

-- The Lion Miraculous: Flamee, the Kwami of Fire

-- The Otter Miraculous: Riaa, the Kwami of Water

-- The Spider Miraculous: Wispp, the Kwami of Lightning

-- The Wren Miraculous: Morro, the Kwami of Air/Wind

Layer Three:

-- The Firefly Miraculous: Lumoss, the Kwami of Light

-- The Raven Miraculous: Knoxx, the Kwami of Shadow

-- The Ghost Miraculous: Boo, the Kwami of Undead

-- The Reindeer Miraculous: Donner, the Kwami of Nature

-- The Red Panda Miraculous: Pabbu, the Kwami of Gravity

-- The Bat Miraculous: Songg, the Kwami of Sound

-- The Armadillo Miraculous: Guarrd, the Kwami of Metal

There sort of ended up being more miraculi than I thought would be, but most of the elements from this are drawn from about two other fandoms that I like. The names of some of the kwamis are also a little on the nose, but hey I like them.

In total, there are 23 miraculi in the box. I have a few ideas for what each of there special powers might be, but the concepts are still in the work and I could probably think of better names for a few of the kwamis too. Also, I know that the plural for Miraculous is miraculouses, but I personally don't like the sound of it, plus Miraculi just sounds cooler to me.
