i wanted to draw this sooner but i got busy with work. i hope you like it! my favorite part of the design was combining pearl’s scar and gem’s eye :)

i like to think as her jacket gets damaged she sews on patches- so it looks like scarlet pearl is slowly creeping in ;)

improvement? i drew gem’s pumpkin patch! this was so tedious but it looks better than my last attempt! this took so so long

what i learned? background artists are incredibly patient. also! ombres serve an important role in creating depth and shadow at least through my observation and experimenting

the background and gem separated- i am proud of this but im still eager to keep improving!
