read a fic the other day that talked about Leo’s fire “eating at him” and it makes sense . if you think about it . percy , he controls water , but not water he produces , water from around him . jason does the same with air . Leo doesn’t control fire around him , he takes it from his own body and manipulates it . no WONDER he isn’t all that great at using it in combat + has low stamina with it . he produces the flames , himself .
