RPG Maker 2003/2000 Masterpost

Since there’s been a spike in people asking me 2003 related questions lately and I know a lot of different tutorials out there, I made this beginner’s masterpost to help some newbies out.  This is the engine that OFF, Yume Nikki, Ib, & Pom Gets Wifi were made on, feel free to purchase it on Steam or the official RPG Maker website for 20$ (or for like 4-5$ on a steam or humble bundle sale).

FINALLY SOMETHING ORIGINAL FROM ME!!!

I have had this thought of these OC's for a bit and I wanted to share them all to those who are interested. I am not an artist so a lot of these are just descriptions. they are also a work in progress. LETS GO!!!

⚠(WARNING: MENTIONS OF DEATH, IMAGES OF BLOOD, AND MENTIONS OF SUICIDE!)⚠

{STORY/BASIC BACKGROUND}

The characters take place in the 2000's/early 2010's in purgatory, where the place is a mix of black, white and grey. They are mostly designed to look like they were drawn with chalk or something pretty similar. Purgatory itself just seems to look like a normal, everyday neighborhood just like on earth. The only difference being the obvious looks and feels of it, and the people being there being VASTLY AND EXTREMELY different.

{THE MAIN CHARACTERS}

The characters are all roommates that live in the same apartment together.

XAVIER

Background: Xavier was/is (the characters are forever the same age from when they died) a 20 year old man that used to be constantly bullied and abused by people (and his parents) because of how "weird" he was. Because of this, he got really depressed and one day, he killed himself and got here in purgatory.

Character design: in purgatory, A lot of the people there have unique looks. For xavier, he is 5 foot 5 and has the look of one of those really emo and "edgy" art styles back in the 2000's. Examples:

he would also, of course, wear emo clothes from that time period. His main outfit looking pretty similar to this, but the shirt just being a broken heart, the sleeves being longer and his hair black:

Personality: he is pretty sarcastic with the others and likes to mess with them a bit. He likes drawing emo images (like the ones from above) and loves to listen to music a lot. There is one person he loves to hang out with the most though...

EREN

Background: Eren was a 22 man who was always afraid of death because of his toxic Christian beliefs from his family, especially with how much of an outcast he felt he was. until one day, he got cornered by some unknown people from a bad part of town and was brutally killed by them.

Character design: Eren is a very tall (8 feet tall) monster that looks like a very dark shadow with big red eyes. he can open his mouth to show he has razor sharp teeth, but he only opens them if he gets angry or overly excited about something. He is very skinny, sorta similar to the look of Tim Burton's works:

Personality: Despite how he looks, he is a very paranoid and anxiety filled person. Always worrying about lots of things and how people might think of him. He also likes cute things like plushies and cute cartoons. (His favorite color is even pink) he really likes to hang out with xavier a lot which confuses the other two roommates.

JAVEY (no seriously, that's his name)

Background: javey was a 22 man who would always spend most of his time on the internet. It was his safe haven from the cruel, outside world. But sadly, it all came to an end when he got hit by a car in the middle of the street.

Character design: His head is an old 2000's computer that constantly changed based on his mood. (He really likes to make these types of faces the most: : 3 ; b UWU (he's a...interesting thing) but on default, his screen just showcases a constantly moving rainbow hue.

His entire body is mostly pretty human, (cept for his computer mouse tail) his style is pretty similar to the 1st season of adventure time!

He LOVES to wear extreme scene kid outfits like this:

Personality: he is CHAOTIC! He loves to hang out with the others and go on lots of places with them. He is happy almost all. The. Time. He likes making lots of new friends and eating tons of sugar that can kill a man. (Yes, he can eat with his computer head. Don't ask why.)

DUSTIN

background: Dustin was a 23 year old man who used to be part of a metal band that broke up out of frustration with dustin's rude behaviour and constant fights with them/others. One day he got into a awful fight when he got drunk which caused him to get beaten up so badly, he got a heart attack and died.

Character design: his design is close to homestucks artstyle, specifically these:

He is a white, anthro cat that likes to dress up in metal outfits like this:

He also likes to wear makeup:

He also has a lip piercing and some piercings on his left ear.

Personality: he is an asshole to a lot of people and is very crude wth his words a lot of the times. Often playing loud metal music in his room early in the morning (?) but despite this, he truly does care about the others and will FUCK you up if you even lay a finger on him or the others. (Fun fact: he also likes to cook for the others like sweets. They really like his cherry pie ❤)

AAAAAAND that is it! I hope you guys like what I made so far with them. Despite how few I did with them, I am really proud of what I've made so far since these are the first NON-AU characters I have made. I would LOVE to talk more about them!
