reblog if you’re a queen or a beatles fan I want to know how many friends I have out there
is this how one makes beatles memes?
(inspired by @harrisunn‘s recent post)
So if you isolate (and make it a few decibels louder) vocals on ‘you never give me your money’ you can here Paul (at least I’m pretty sure it’s Paul) sing along with the music, the music overpowers paul in this bit so when I first found it I was smiling like an idiot.

R.I.P. George Harrison (February 25, 1943 - November 29, 2001 ∞)
I would assure all his fans that George was just as beautiful as they picture him. And maybe more.

Paul: the stars look pretty tonight
John: no, they look the same every night when we look at them. nothing has changed.
Paul: you were supposed to say i was prettier
I’m not gonna be a hypocrite and say I don’t ship McLennon considering how I was reading a McLennon fic on Wattpad just a few hours ago, but I more ship the concept of McLennon.
“But you’ve got to remember, John and I knew each other when we were teenagers. We listened to the same records. We grew up to those records. We wore the same clothes. We admired the same kind of people. We had the same tastes. That informed the whole business. John and I were like twins. To find someone like that is pretty impossible. And hey, we were also damn good. We just got it on. We were hot. You can’t replace someone like John, and I don’t think he could’ve replaced someone like me.” - Paul McCartney
I respect Paul McCartney and John Lennon enough to acknowledge their friendship and how they had a very close and intimate relationship as best friends. As much I might want them to be more than best friends, I know the two men were only best friends and that’s it. They really did love each other, but not in the way some wished they did.
The concept of McLennon though, is something I enjoy and I can stan it, but I know it wasn’t actually real. Well, maybe McLennon was real, but Paul and John wanted to keep it on the down low because everyone in the 60s and 70s weren’t the most accepting of LGBT+ folks. I can certainly entertain that idea of being the case, but until I know for sure with facts and confirmation from Paul or Ringo themselves, then I’m not going to treat Paul and John like they were actually dating.
“In fact, after he died, the thing that helped me the most, really, was talking to Yoko about it. She volunteered the information that he had… really liked me. She said that once or twice, they had sat down to listen to my records and he had said, ‘There you are.” - Paul McCartney
