deku, i think you mean "boyfriend"
"Maybe he did mean to say that." A shrug. "Maybe not."
“I would not have allowed you to help me more than you already have for this ticket. First class would have been too much. Flying here was the important part. Not the food.” It was the truth. It was just flying from point A to point B. The comfort or the food could be looked over.
Rody was taking in his surroundings at any chance he got. He was always looking around, observing, but whenever Deku spoke, he always snapped his attention back to him. Rody looked over to where he pointed, taking note of what a nice looking car it was as they went to approach it.
“Oh, a classic around here. Hm...” Pino suddenly chirped in, literally. Looks like Rody already made up his mind.
“Yeah! That sounds good.”
It took everything in Izuku not to start bouncing up and down where he was standing. He was waiting outside of Gate 15 for an incoming flight from Otheon. Finally, after seven long months of waiting, today was the day!
Rody was visiting him in Japan!
They had been planning this for months. Instead of spending his extra money on All Might merchandise, he focused all of it towards Rody’s travel expenses and anything they’d end up doing while together for the week. They had practically talked every other day ever since Rody had saved up money to buy a cell phone. They had learned a lot about each other in that time, and despite the long distance between them, Izuku still felt as if they were becoming closer than ever.
So, really... it wasn’t much of a surprise that this was the most excited he’d felt in a very long time.
As soon as he spotted Rody’s face, his eyes lit up as bright as the sun. He couldn’t help but rush forward and pull the other young man into a fierce hug. He could feel himself tearing up, but he managed to keep the tears at bay. He couldn’t keep the grin off of his face even if he tried to.
“I can’t believe you’re actually here right now!” he exclaimed with a cheerful laugh. “It’s so great to see you again, Rody!”

you want a love potion rody? take pomegranate juice, add some lemons and sugar to taste, pulverize the pomegranate seeds and mix with crushed cloves, then toast them and add it to the juice. easy.
Oh, great, more juice talk- at least it wasn't about bones this time.
"There wasn't even a spell to that or anything. It just sounds like pomegranate juice with a few things added in. Anyone could do that-"
happy birthday rody! get anything special?
"Hey! Thanks!"
"Roro and Lala managed to get me some gifts; an aviator hat and..." Rody had to snicker between words. "...Airplane slippers!" What truly amazing gifts. "Those little rascals... I don't know how they hid them under my nose. Though, I'm kinda impressed with how they kept it a secret."
He wasn’t expecting such a quick response. It felt nice that someone wanted to genuinely see him.
“Woah woah, flying me AND Roro and Lala would be way too much to ask from you. The idea sounds nice, of course, but that’s three tickets to pay for compared to just one for you.” Rody would have loved for his siblings to see Japan, and to meet Deku’s mom, but that was definitely too much.

“Rody...”
“Don't you want to come see me?”
At least he got a laugh back. Now they were even.
“Sorry, hero, but I’ve already got one.” He playfully nudged the shorter of the two, sending a wink his way. “Might wanna hurry and catch up.”

"Maybe because you are one-" Rody mumbled real quietly, holding back a laugh. All tease, of course.
“Wha-?! Rody!” Izuku gasped, fake-offended. Unfortunately, his voice cracked over Rody’s name.
Ochako shook her head at Rody's words before glancing down at Pino. "It's not me not wanting to be a hero. It's just that ... no matter how many people I save, there's always people who are suffering and that I can't reach. And sometimes, I'm just wondering if there's ever going to be a 'symbol of peace' if there is no peace at all." (nuravity) (if you want me to make a new post, say it)
Rody leaned back in his chair, letting the words set in. They hit a little too close to home since he had no heroes there to protect him and his siblings. He was silent for a moment as he gathered his thoughts.
"It'll always be like that. You can't... really change that. There's never going to be citywide, countrywide, or even worldwide peace. But you can at least bring peace to those that you can reach."
"As much as it hurts to admit, you can't save everyone. That's the simple truth."

Finally, the green-haired boy’s smile takes a turn, teeth showing behind parted lips as he lets out an amused huff.
“You’re smart,” he comments, still not providing any confirmation or negation for the other’s guesses. Instead, he presses a finger against the edge of the plate and pushes it to the middle of the table, as if inviting the server to help himself to the fries. Then, he withdraws his hand, the wrist curled back, and lays his palms flat on the table before mirroring the other’s position. Now it looks like they’re both discussing some sort of secret— if they were actors on set of a cliché spy film, that is. That’s why nobody will really pay attention.
“You promise you won’t tell?” It sound like he’s joking, but when Izuku finally gives his answer, it’s clear he’s speaking the truth. “Humarise. Or whatever’s left of it.”
A heartbeat, and he adds one more thing: “I couldn’t be any further from associating with them in any way than I already am, before you accuse. They’re scum.”
"I'll take that compliment." From the smile to the simple action of pushing fries across the table, Rody was slowly seeing the real side of this guest. Technically, he wasn't supposed to sit on the job. Technically.
He sat down across from the green-haired fellow, amused. He sat comfortably, as if he was simply talking to a friend. The guy really didn't have to worry about any attention being drawn to him; everyone was eating, drinking, or watching whatever game was on the TV.
"Promise." Rody humored him with a smile. Who would he tell anyway? All jobs were secretive around here. But rumors always seemed to leak through the cracks.
His heart dropped at the name.
Now, Rody's done a lot of lying in his life, had to charm his way out of things often, so he did his best to keep a neutral reaction. At least the guy didn't want to join them.
"You're trying to find Humarise members?" Was the first question out of his mouth. He spoke low. "People around here don't like to talk about them, let alone mention them, so you might be out of luck, Freckles."
Eh, I'll figure this out later. Rody Soul RP Blog !!WHM spoilers!!
