tuesday, nov 17 • stills from an october diary
a collection of many small moments to comprise of my october diary. last month had a lot of happy moments scattered throughout, but also it was the month where my anxiety hit the peak(!) yoikes ;u; it just really felt like things (that i’m particularly happy about) are always changing and happening to me, and i have to “accept” them. but, at least i think this month i’ve finally stopped resisting as much, which has a helped a lil’ bit! maybe next month i’ll start feeling good about the changes?? haha baby steps u know (´・ω・`)
I start writing my dissertation officially tomorrow. However, currently I’m spending this evening writing up a dissertation micro-structure (consisting of bullet pointing every single thing I want to say on separate word documents designated to each section). I have also just sent off a couple emails about my abstract and also about having a consultation booked. I’m both excited and nervous. I’m also not sure if I have explicitly advertised my dissertation topic on here yet? Well, here is the text I am writing my dissertation on: Christine de Pizan’s The Book of the City of Ladies (1405).
Over 500 years before Virginia Woolf imagined a room of one’s own, Christine de Pizan imagined a whole city.

Finished the Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo in one sitting today, didn’t even notice the day go by. I looked out the window for one second, it was daylight and the next time I looked outside it was past midnight. Already got the next book on my kindle ready for tomorrow. Cant wait to see how the triology ends
