He doesn’t realize until a tear slips from his eyes mid thrust during one particularly steamy night. Your hand on his cheek only encourages more tears to float up within those pretty eyes. When asked what’s wrong, he can only stop and stutter out with adoration filled eyes, “I… I l-love you.”.

He doesn’t realize until he finds out you work beside a guy with a bird quirk as well. The amount of jealousy and need to publicly mark you as his has never consumed him to such a point in the past, but he doesn’t have the brain cells to evaluate and realize that when he’s dramatically dragging you by the wrist out of your office, wings predatorily puffed out, chest high, pupils narrowed, only to pull you into a public restroom a floor below and fuck you stupid.  He’s fucking whipped. He knew that. But he can’t help but fear the bird instinctual emotion that settles deep within him. He fears it because it’s then that he realizes with his instincts, his love for you is the only think he can’t keep suppressed or controlled.
