Let me give you, the internet, and mostly myself, some executive function advice.
Sometimes, when you find yourself somehow unable to do a thing you need or want to do, one issue might be that your brain has subconsciously tacked on extra tasks, and those tasks are making the whole thing too overwhelming!
Tl;dr: don't do that!
For example, I like to track the books I read and I've been meaning to add a few books I've recently finished. But my brain has added that I should also write a review, and the exact dates I read them (which I can't even remember) and oh by the way I should finish moving my stuff over to storygraph and before I know it that 1 task has turned into 4! And my executive functioning says no.
In fact, while I was getting the idea to write this post, my brain went "wouldn't it be nice to also write a post about y and tag them all properly and go back through my posts and find all mental health posts and tag those too" and wouldn't you know it. 4 tasks.
Discard those extra tasks. Don't even write them down. They don't matter. Strip it down to the 1 task you started with and only do that.
Sure, you won't have achieved some theoretical better end result but that end result was never gonna happen anyway. It was paralysing you from getting the initial task done. And maybe once that initial task is done, you can get to one (1! not 4!) additional task. Later. Not now.
Half-assing is better than no-assing.
Hellooo Peoplee !
I'm just a girl in her last year of school time flies so fast wth preparing for NEET (an entrance exam to get into med school in India) trynna survive. I started this blog to document my journey, hold myself accountable, and stay consistent—cuz God knows I need to.
A little about my journey so far:
- Joined an online coaching institute in 11th and, well… fucked around and as a result have the whole 11th syllabus as backlog🤡
Sooo basically, my plan/goals are to:
» Stay consistent with my 12th-grade coaching (attending live lectures, tests, workbooks, the whole deal)
» Slowly cover my 11th-grade backlog (maybe a lecture each day— not sure yet..)
» Crack NEET on my first attempt and secure a govt. medical seat.
So if you’re also on the grind, let’s keep each other motivated! Feel free to drop a message or an ask.
Here’s to staying disciplined and getting that govt seat 🥂✨

DRAGGED myself to school even tho I was the literal embodiment of a walking corpse. Ended up crashing after school and woke up 5 mins before coaching.
Have chem hw to do which I'll get to soon (hopefully). Did math hw in class itself yaaay . I'll revise the stuff taken at school in the morning bus ride to school as usual :')

Deep cleaned my room
Completed eng notes + some math hw I had left
Rev chapter 1 of bio for tmrw (yet to do)
Woke up at almost 12 today. Stayed up till 3am watching Grey’s Anatomy (I love this show so much it’s actually insane).
Since school starts tomorrow, I’ve decided to pause all the reading and shows for now. One thing I really struggle with is balancing them with school and studying, so I’m cutting them off—at least temporarily. Might let myself watch a movie or two on weekends though.
Unit tests begin tomorrow, starting with bio. I haven’t revised yet, but I had gone through it before the break, so the plan is to watch a one-shot, read the textbook, and skim through my notes again tomorrow morning.
Also really need to catch up on coaching stuff, but I have no clue how I’m gonna manage that right now. Gotta sit down and plan everything before I go to bed tonight.
Take careee

Staying consistent even when it’s not immediately rewarding is where the shift happens.

~ 2:20 AM ~
After school, I studied from 2-3 PM, then took a nap till 5:30 PM, which was a W move cuz I woke up feeling energized and not sleepy at all (till 2 AM, bro).
From today onwards, we were supposed to have class till 1 PM, but smn happened, and we got to leave early—same for tomorrow, I think not complaining wuAHahhAH. Sooo, we lost our chem class and hence the test. UGH just wanna get it over with atp. And for math? Surprise, surprise—postponed AGAIN.
~ Things I did ~
Made notes for Lec 3 & 4 of Solutions and studied them (yaay)
Completed Bio SRIFP notes (will do the studying tomorrow ig)
That’s it hehe >°<

Woke up at 4 today with like 4 hours of sleep, and my first thought was hell nahhh. So after fajr, I knocked out again for 1-1.5 hours and woke up at 6:30, except I actually fell back asleep, and my mom’s loud-ass alarm had to drag me back to reality 🤡.
Slept on the way back home, was still dead tired when I got to my room, so I decided to nap for an hour… which somehow turned into 3 hours without my consent. Woke up literally 10 minutes before my class. But hey, at least I’m more awake now, I guess?
Loved today, though—understood everything in every class so easily, and that’s a rare win.
I’ll try to sleep after I’m done studying, but if I can’t, I might just keep going.
Ughhh.
Stuff to do:
Math HW
Chem: read text + review notes + hw
Review today’s lecture + read the text
Finally finish that damn solutions lecture + write notes + study it
Let’s hope I actually get through this.
Byeee for nowww ( ˘ ³˘)💗
