in case anyone else needs it :)
Hi, guys. šš
So someone asked me for the recording I have of Betrayal, and since I have it uploaded now I thought Iād share it here in case anyone else wants it, too.Ā
(Be forewarned that, as it was recorded by an audience member, the sound isnāt always the clearest but you can still hear most it.)
Odin: Can you come collect your freak of a man please. Odin: He's doing things. Sigyn: No I set him loose on purpose. Sigyn: He needs enrichment.

ok enough is enough. whichever one of you virgins invented instagram starbucks recipes, die 1000 deaths. I had a customer come in today holding out their phone (full brightness) and looking all shy and Im immediately like š fine ok, what does the instagram user want me to make for them this time. well this time it's a cringe harry potter themed frappucino. excuse me??? "can you make this for me?" I said excuse me??? -- I mean *customer service voice* "yeah it looks like I have all the ingredients, haha sure!"
ok cringe instagram harry potter frappucino drinker. ok. die. "Ive never had this drink before" yeah I can tell due to the fact that it didnt exist until someone posted a #aesthetic photo of it to instagram 14 hours ago ok. ok,
but whatever, Im paid to put up with this shit. so I add the ingredients all up on my computer and congrats! ur harry potter cringe social media drink has $10 worth of syrup in it. are you happy??? is this what you wanted??? a $10 frappucino??? $10. for a drink. you doubled the price of this drink for ur off-brand "harry potter and the legend of the overpriced starbucks drink" drink. you doubled the price!!! is this how u imagined spending ur day? is this what u wanted to do when u woke up this morning? $10 for a 24oz drink?
and u know, you KNOW the influencer making this recipe doesn't even work at a starbucks cause when it was all said and done the drink looked like shit. my blender was straining against the weight of your sins (and syrups) and Im sweating, Im an animal, Im losing my mind and my blender is getting watered down frappucino syrups everywhere -- u put so much shit liquid in this blender it doesnt even fit in the cup btw. it's making a huge mess. but is it instagramable? no, its fucking ugly. #trending #foryoupage #cringe $10 harold potter drink for adult children,
so are you happy? is ur social media influencer bestie happy? I made ur stupid $10 drink for u. does it taste good? no? well I hope instagram shuts down tomorrow. I hope you read a different book. I hope I never get sober. there is no sign of land. I hope you die. I hope we both die.

Hey, thanks for replying!
I actually have been able to clarify that it was loki contacting me. I basically used osteomancy (but with cinnamon sticks instead of bones) to confirm. I was also gifted a wooden pendulum since then, and it had worked well so far.
He's also given me some wacky dreams when I have asked. I wanted to try and use the dreams to attempt direct communication, but instead he pranked me :(
Thanks again for the help, and I'm glad to have figured it out
hey! i've been having some experiences lately that feel like loki is reaching out that i dont fully know what to do with.
so as of late, i've been lighting a candle while doing schoolwork just as a "come and chill with me" thing (i do have protections up ofc), but i keep having these experience since i've started this, being less than a week.
so i have chronic back pain from scoliosis, and i've been having minor flare-ups of pain for the past week or so (which isn't why i started the candle thing btw). but since i have started this, i've been getting this strange sensation in my spine. like it feels almost like a breeze that goes up my spine, but on the inside, like through my spine and muscles themselves. i wish i had a better way to explain the feeling, but since i've started this practice that's been happening, which has never happened before and i have been unable to find a scientific explaination for this.
the reason i'm thinking this is loki is mainly just based on intuition (whatever little of it i may have as a beginner). the action just feels like him in a way that i can't explain (which, as i am writing this, it is happening more so it almost feels like a confirmation :') ). i don't feel comfortable trying to read the candle flame bc its a shitty cheap candle that is behaving in the way that a low-quality candle would behave (according to my meager research in trying to find an answer to this). i also am very bad at tarot/runes at the moment and don't feel truly confident in getting an answer from them due to my inexperience.
do you have any suggestions as to what i can look into to possibly confirm/deny what's going on?
thanks so much for your time :)
This is a late reply so idk if youāre still figuring things out, but if tarot/runes are still evading you, you can always ask for dreams, signs, or portents. Deities are usually pretty chill about proving themselves and offering clarification.
Farewell, Wanderlust is such a perfect song for the character
3, 43, and 50 for whichever version of Loki is your favorite?
I'm not shy about Blood Brothers Loki being my fave Marvel!Loki (and only second to my idea of myth!Loki), but as my last ask was very thorough on old comics!Loki and included Blood Brothers, I'll pick another one.
Also, is it Marvel!Loki or any? I'll pick two that were formative to me and aren't as conceptual as "my idea of myth!Loki": MCU!Loki and Alan Cumming's Loki in Son of the Mask. They're not necessarily the best or accurate to the myths, but they were formative to me. I don't know how to explain it but they do have a similar vibe despite the different tones of their movies. Their characterizations are not mutually exclusive.
3. What first drew you to this character?
SOTM!Loki: He was the first Loki I ever encountered and introduced my monotheistic Catholic child brain to the idea of an imperfect deity. I'm an Atheist, but in a way, he helped me. I was always freaking out over going to hell for thoughts I had, or lies I told, or things I broke by accident. To find out there was a god of pranks and lies was very neat to me. The idea a deity out there wouldn't condemn me over lies and was as imperfect as me was appealing and interesting to a child that broke everything.
It was a new concept to me, because I only knew a god to be a perfect being. And Christian-influenced portrayals of patriarch deities such as Disney's Hercules, tended to code Zeus as "good" and Hades as some sort of Devil figure in a sort of hellish underworld. So they didn't challenge my idea of a god (i.e. the idea that Hades was also a god did not register to me; plus the plot kinda went over my head cus I didn't have a good grasp of language yet). Also, he dresses like a 2000s mall goth!!!
MCU!Loki: His paranoia in Thor (2011). I am a very paranoid person who has a bunch of unhealthy habits such as eavesdropping because I want to have a plan, if someone's going to act against me. I also associate him with someone I was infatuated with that I consider my first real friend.
My version of myth!Loki is more of a concept that lives in my head rent-free because I found Loki hilarious in the mythology.
43. What type of weather makes you think of this character?
MCU!Loki: A cold winter night.
SOTM!Loki: A hot Summer day.
My version of myth!Loki: Windy day. People sleep on the wind association too much for my taste. And I know they're not a wind deity. But the eating contest between Loki and Logi is about the association of the air that keeps the hearth burning. The windy weather also applies to the current iteration comics!Loki/Ikol, as they've tried getting closer to the myths. I think talking about my interest in the current comics!Loki wouldn't be very interesting because I got into Loki a few years before they existed. So if I know them know it was due to four other pre-existing Lokis (i.e. SOTM, MCU, OG Marvel Loki, and myth!Loki)
50. Link your fav song, playlist, aesthetic board, fan-fiction, reference pile, personal artwork, analysis post, meme, headcanon, or quote for this character. Whichever one (s) you are most comfortable with!
MCU!Loki: You and Not Me-Devour the Day from my MCU!Loki playlist.
My version of myth!Loki: The Jester-Badflower also from my MCU!Loki playlist.
SOTM!Loki: Slept So Long by Korn because he's this ancient being invoked into action by his mask falling into mortal hands at Odin's behest. It's also such a 2000s mall goth edgelord song and he's such a mall goth.
Also I'll give some songs for stories deity comics!Loki/Skald!Loki because I have those at hand and I like recommending songs:
Farewell, Wanderlust-The Amazing Devil
New Low-Middle Class Rut
Trust Me from The Devil's Carnival (fun musical) fits a lot of Lokis. I'm surprised I haven't seen many edits to this song lol.
Thor is a brother. A prince. King. Lover. Fighter. Avenger. His identity is wrapped so tightly around these fragments that if he lets go, heāll fall to pieces. But heās fragmented because he shattered. And he shattered because of what happened in Thor: God of Thunder.Ā
Thorās arc in the first movie, I believe, centers around the idea of consequences. Itās not falling in love with Jane, itās not Asgard, not someone slapping him over the head. Itās the fact that his choices suddenly have weight and meaning.Ā
Thor gets banished for slaughtering Jotun unprovoked.Ā
Thorās relationship with Jane, Darcy, and Erik is poor because heās treating them like crap.Ā
Thor fails to capture his hammer because heās not worthy. (To whatever standard Odin has set.)Ā
Thor, as heās told, is the catalyst of his fatherās death.Ā
Thereās this moment in this scene when you can watch his face go from earnest to oh. That was me. I did that. Me. Not you. ME.
Thor is the prince of Asgard, which is basically an empire of nine worlds. He is used to having diplomatic immunity. He could do no wrong. With that ripped out away from him, Thor doesnāt talk. He shuts down, and settles inside himself, thinking.Ā
Not reacting. Thinking.Ā
Thor isnāt an idiot. Heās impulsive, thereās a difference. His first reaction is violence, because he was raised in a society where slapping your enemies over the head brutally was just something that was done. As much as I love Frigga, when Thor was banished, in the deleted scene, she didnāt go to Odin so tell him oh my gosh, our son killed all these Jotuns, why didnāt we teach him better?Ā She complains that Odinās punishment was too harsh.Ā
Thor has never been told to stretch this much, and had it stick before. And Loki does it. He does it in a way thatās a little cruel, and cold, but he tells Thor to stop being such an idiot.Ā
And Thor, miracle of miracles, actually listens.Ā
This is not a story of Thor becoming worthy. This is the story of Thor realizing where his priorities need to be. Itās the story of him growing up.Ā
And this is where we get to my final point. I think that almost none of thisānone of itāwould have sunk deeply into Thorās psyche if Loki didnāt fall of the Bifrost when they fought.Ā
Look at them. Loki is dangling. Thor is being held onto by his foot.Ā
And Thor doesnāt care.Ā
Because the only thing heās focused on is his little brother. Hanging there. Dying. His best friend that just tried to kill all the Jotuns. His confidante that just disowned him. His biggest supporter that fought him. And Thor doesnāt understand. He doesnāt understand. He doesnāt know what Loki uncovered at that point.
This is just his brother who is going to die if he doesnāt do anything.Ā
And then Loki addresses his last words to their father. Not him. Their father.Ā And Odin rejects him. It always struck me that Thor sees Lokiās face close off and thenĀ immediatelyĀ knows what Loki is going to do. Heās not surprised, heās not shocked. He knows.Ā Loki lets go, and Thor canāt catch him.
Thor can fly. Odin didnāt let him go until Loki was beyond any chance of recovery, and Thor blamed himself. Heās solemn after Lokiās death. He rejects his parentsā and friendsā comfort. He goes to Heimdall to start looking out for Jane, because he is not going to let someone else he cares about slip beyond his reach.Ā
Thorās consequence for his actions in Thor 1 was his brother. And that nearly killed him. Thor 1 was never, never about becoming worthy. At least, not for Thor.
āHow is he?ā
āHe mourns for his brother.āĀ
