Queenโs day๐ธ๐ซง๐๐๐
Would you ever post a process video? :O I love your style and I'm so curious as to how you put together compositions! Especially the lil story doodles on Instagram! How long do the doodles take you compared to full pieces? THEY ALWAYS LOOK SO GOOD BUT YOU MAKE IT SEEMS LIKE YOU DO THEM SO FAST :OO I LOVE YOUR WORK AHHHHHHH
haha this is a total of 15 hours of drawing (2 days) in a minute. i was free so i had all the time in the world to draw this so donโt worry too much
for the doddles i always go with the most simple compositions where i quickly sketch out the pose and then fill it with colour. that way itโs much faster then any work i would put time into to hash out the details. i only had to google the reference for lumine&aether and for the cats, since it makes work much less stressful
amd THANK YOU

First years.
HI I LOVE YOUR ART i really like your art style especially the colors >< if its ok to ask, how do you pick your colors?? or like how do u get ur colors to be Like That?? does that make sense sorry im not great with words but im seriously in love w ur coloring
HI and thank you! okay i'll try to explain it as best as i can but i must say i'm very inconsistent and sorry if it doesn't make sense sometimes
- so first i choose a colour that will represent black colour, so basically lineart colour (i usually go with either more brown or more blue tones)
- next i choose background colour, because that affects the way i perceive colours on canvas (i usually go with white or some more bright colours)
- then i get white which is always a bit more yellowish and then pick the colours as i go (it sounds a bit weird but i decide which colour palette i want and then go with it, so i usually i pick one colour and make all others closer to it)
- i can make shadows either with overlay/multiply layers or i handpick them and if i do that i always follow the same pattern when picking shadows for different colours
-in the end i always play around a little with gradient maps (mostly because colours on my computer look completely different than those on my phone), so correction layers that can help regulate colour
and that should be all, sorry it's long because i tried to sort it out in my head too
