Random explanation time for my (one of many- đ) self-indulgent design choices (/lh) yipeeee
I feel like the reason why Khan and Nori would be the only married drones to have an actual wedding band (and of course because that is a human tradition) is cause Nori (obviously) has been around humans for most of her life, and I like to think that (since she is a HUGE nerdy dork) she would definitely try to "research" stuff about them and find out about "cool stuff" (also she definitely would have gotten hyperfixated on the topic and started info dumping about humans to Khan lol-)
Basically what I'm trying to say here is that when Nori found out about the common human tradition of a married couple both wearing a ring, she wanted to do that kinda thing with Khan. And Khan just rolled with it because he loves her so much and would do anything to make her smile. (He loves his kooky wife <33)

:Authorâs Note:
A little something that I have been hesitant and a little shy to share, but this is a fic that I wrote a few months ago at this point, and since the Khori angst comic that I teased a few weeks ago is taking longer than I thought, I decided to treat yaâll Khori enjoyers with a little something while waiting for the finished comic.
I wanted to write a fic like this in the first place because we needed a Khan breakdown in the show (in my opinion at least), and I basically said, âFine. Iâll do it myself~! >:3â
(This is more of a self indulgent character study if anything lol)
By the way, a little disclaimer; if the formatting, wording, or pacing seems a little off in some spots, thatâs because I was VERY rusty at the time of writing this. I was just starting to get back into the rhythm of writing fics properly after not writing anything for a REALLY long time.
I hope yâall enjoy reading this fic as much as I loved writing it!!
ENJOY!!! >:]]
Breaking Point
A Khori (Khan x Nori) one shot
This story is intended to take place sometime after Episode 8 (post-canon). The Doormanâs are finally living together as a family again, and Nori has a new body now! :DD
TRIGGER/CRINGE WARNING : emotional breakdown, angst, hurt/comfort, implied self hatred, self blame, implied low self esteem, implied lack of healthy coping mechanisms/skills, repression of emotions, bottling up emotions

Nori and Uzi are having a mother-daughter conversation and Khan is observing the interaction from afar.
Khan is analyzing Nori and Uziâs expressionsâ Nori is smiling wider than heâs ever seen, and Uzi is genuinely laughing. He hasnât seen Uzi laugh like that since⌠forever.
Khan tries to ignore the scene, but he canât seem to look away. He slowly walked out of the room.
Nori was happily giggling until she sensed that something in the room was off.
Nori turned her head to look at the spot where Khan was previously standingâ he wasnât there anymore. Noriâs brows furrowed.
Uzi noticed that Nori was partially turned away.
ââŚWhatâs wrong, mom?â Uzi asks.
Nori snaps out of blankly staring into nothing and realizes Uzi was talking to her.
âOh! Uh, N-Nothing. I umâŚâ Nori replies with a reassuring smile on her face.
She glances at the doorway to the other roomâ which was a very small living area. She turns back to Uzi.
âIâll be.. right backâŚâ Nori says.
Uzi is confused, but she doesnât want to question it any further.
âUh⌠okay.â She says.
Uzi is of course clueless as to what exactly is the problem, but she does know that Nori doesnât stop everything like that for no reason. Whatever is going on, it canât be something good.
Nori pops in on the side of the doorway. She sees Khan sitting quietly on one side of the couch in the small room sitting with his arms crossedâ he looked distraught.
âHey.â Nori calls.
Khan looks up.
âWhatâs wrong?â Nori asks.
Khan looks back down.
âItâs nothing.â He says.
Nori lifts an unamused eyebrow.
âSo youâre totally fine when you suspiciously just left the room silently and now youâre sitting here in the opposite room lookinâ sad?â She asks.
Khan doesnât respond and instead nervously glances up at Nori but then immediately looks away.
Nori is not buying it.
âPff. Yeah, right.â
She walks over to sit next to Khan.
âAlright, whatâs going on with you?â
Khan sighs before he responds.
âWhy did you come back?â
Nori raises a brow.
âBecause I care about you and Uzi? Fricknâ duh!â
Nori thought that her teasing would faze Khan at least slightly, but he still stayed silent. He turned further away. Khan was not in the mood for jokes.
Nori switches to a more serious tone.
âI realized that Uzi still needs me. And it was selfish of me to not come back until now.â
She scooched closer to Khan.
âUzi still loves me, and I still love her.â
Nori pauses. Her expression softens.
âI came back becauseâŚâ
She reached to gently hold Khanâs hand.
âI still love you.â
Khan was looking up at Nori but he quickly looked back down. He pulled his hand away.
âYou shouldnât..â Khan said.
Noriâs brows furrowed.
âWhy..?â
She asked with a frown.
Khan tensed up.
âBecause Iâm a fraudâŚâ
His voice was almost a whisper. He could barely be heard.
âWhat did you say-?â
Nori asked, but she was abruptly cut off.
âI SAID IâM A FRAUD!â Khan blurted out.
Nori flinched at Khanâs sudden outburst.
âDo you not understand?! Iâm a horrible person!
I literally left you and Uzi for dead in some way shape or form. And do you know what my excuse was?! I blamed it on the Murder Drones!
Canât you see?! I only care about myself! I blame all of my problems on everything but myself!
âŚI never deserved Uzi. I never deserved you. âŚI made you and Uziâs lives a living hell. All Iâve done for both of you is make your lives unnecessarily harder.
All I am is a pathetic coward who would rather run away from their problems instead of solving them.â
Khan paused for a short moment.
ââŚWhen I saw you two laughing together, and.. being genuinely happy, it⌠made me see that⌠I canât make Uzi happy even if I try.
I should have been the one in your place, Nori. You and Uzi would have been better off without me. âŚIâm sorry.â
Khan went silent again like nothing happened.
âKhanâŚâ
Nori said.
âI know that youâve made mistakes. ButâŚâ
She reached to hold Khanâs hand.
âThat doesnât make up who you are.
We have all done something stupid in our lives at least once.â
She humorously snorted.
âI know I have. Donât beat yourself up about it. You set way too big of standards for yourself.
You tend to bite off more than you can chew. Trust me, Iâve seen you do that many times before.
Cut yourself some slack. I think youâve been through enough emotional burnout for one whole week.
The whole point I'm trying to make is that..â
Nori paused for a moment. She held Khanâs hand tightly around her palms.
âYou donât need to be perfect for me to love you.â
Khan was finally fazed.
Nori continued.
âYou have good intentions. You have shown me things in myself that I would have never seen if you did not come into my life. And I am incredibly grateful for that.â
Nori lowered her voice to make it sound as comforting as possible.
âYou are an amazing person, Khan. And I want you to know that.â
Khan was shaken by Noriâs words.
âI..â
Nori smiled as tears formed in her eyes.
Khanâs entire body began to tremble and he panted heavily. He clutched onto his chest, and pulled his other hand away.
Khan held the side of his head. A warning symbol flashed on his visor in the place of his left eye that said, âREPRESSED EMOTIONS UNSTABLEâ. His frantic panting turned into whimpering. He tilted his head down and sobbed.
Noriâs eyes hollowed for a few moments. She fully turned herself towards Khan and immediately pulled him close to her.
Khan sobbed in Noriâs arms as she gently rubbed his back.
Khan hasnât cried like this in a very long time. He has been hiding his true emotions for way too long at this point. It was about time he broke down.
Both stayed in each otherâs arms for a while. Khan eventually slowed down his sobs. He leaned against Noriâs chest, tears still streaming down his visor.
Khan blinked slowly. He looked, and felt, completely defeated. He felt like he didnât have any energy left to cry anymore. He was exhaustedâ physically and emotionally.
Nori had her hand gently resting on top of his head.
âAre you okay now?â Nori asked.
âIâŚâ
Khan paused.
âNo⌠I-Iâm notâŚâ His voice wavered.
Khan sat up and wiped the tears from his visor. He crossed his arms against his midriff. His eyes slowly drifted away from Noriâs gaze, and he turned his head away.
âHey.â
Nori gently turned Khanâs head towards her.
âYou matter. Never forget that.â
Khan sniffed. He finally cracked a small smile.
Nori smiled back. She fully embraced Khan. He actually hugged Nori back this time. Both stayed in each other's arms.
âNoriâŚ?â Khan mumbled.
âYeah?â Nori replied softly.
Khan lifted his head to look into Noriâs eyes.
âThank you.â
Nori smiled. âYouâre welcome.â
She gently grabbed either side of Khanâs face and gave him a small kiss.
Khan flinched as he felt his core whir in surprise. He was blushing so hard he thought he was going to overheat.
Nori didnât say anything else. She just smiled.
Khan finally snapped out of his flustered trance and leaned back into Noriâs arms.
Both held each other close.

:Authors Note #2:
If you have made it to this point,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING!! :DDD
By the way, it wasnât mentioned in the story, but after Nori paused the conversation, Uzi decided to just end the convo there and go her separate way lol.
I was just too lazy to describe anything further without accidentally making the sequence too long or making the pacing seem stiff and awkward lmao-
Much love to yâall! <3

erm- hi. hereâs whatever this is lmfao /lh
Uzi is caught off guard. She has never seen her dad cry before. It felt very strange to her. It was essentially the re-discovery of a side of Khan that Uzi only remembers seeing vaguely when she was very young.
The first thing that Uzi thought was âWoah..â but then she thought, âWhy?â
âWhy with me? What makes me of all people so special that he would feel comfortable to show this?â She thought.
Uzi already knows that Khan doesnât tend to show vulnerability. She doesnât know why. Although, from what Uzi has gathered, whenever Khan does, he seems visibly uncomfortable. Uzi canât fully tell if itâs embarrassment, or shame, but she doesnât need to be able to tell. She somehow already knows enough.
The other part of Uziâs thinking is realizing that she doesnât mind that this is happening, and is in fact more concerned. Again, she doesnât know why sheâs feeling this way. Was it because it was her father of all people? The overly optimistic door-enthusiast? Who seems to never let himself be bothered by anything? Maybe. Or perhaps itâs because--
No. Enough. Stop thinking so hard. She doesnât have the time or patience right now for a deep analysis on anotherâs emotions. Sheâll figure that all out later. But for now, she just wants to focus on the here and now; willingly for once. She wants to be here for her dad. If her presence is so comforting, and if that is what makes Khan feel better, then so be it. That is what she will focus on.

Something I drew last night.
Wanted to post this cause Iâm really proud of it.
Idk, I had a random idea of a scenario of Amanda learning how to control her demon form and being able to summon it at will.
Partly took inspiration from Eda finding out how to control her Harpy form. (Talking about a character from The Owl House btw lol)
Also something I feel like I want to explain; she looks surprised/shocked here cause she wasnât expecting it to work.
Basically Amanda experimenting with the formâ seeing what she can and canât do.
Uhh.. anyway- enjoy the drawing i guess lol- đ¤
made by somebody on the iid server
ever wanted to write khan? yes? good! here is my google slides ramble on how i think you should write him
slide in image format below if you want that!!
Uzi doodle that i drew in school today. >:3
iâm sorry but this audio is literally him, i had to
Oooooo yeah, the Murder trio desperately needs to talk. They got so much stuff going on between each other, bro. :(( /gen
Another mini post where i yap abt random things.
anyway- a few things (in my opinion) that at some point NEED to happen between the Murder Drones main cast;
A heart to heart convo between Khan and N,
A serious and long overdue father-daughter convo between Khan and Uzi,
A heart to heart convo between J and N,
And a heart to heart convo between V and N.
âIt was embarrassing, resorting to such primal threat displays to get N to back away from her, but right now, she couldnât care less. J felt cornered, trapped, like some kind of animal. A scared, pathetic, disgusting animal.â
