a/n: Just a lil something based on my adventures last night haha

The first crackle of thunder sounds throughout the house and Katsuki takes the headphones off his ears and pauses his game. He stares at the door to the game room with a tiny smirk.

“Yo Blasty, you good over there? Why are we paused?” Denki says over the headset.

“Just gimme a damn second Sparky. I’m waiting on somethin’,” he says, eyes still locked on the closed door.

Lightning lights up the sky a few minutes later and right after, a large crack of thunder shakes the house so much Katsuki winces slightly. His smile widens as he hears the commotion in the house.

A door being wrenched open, a pair of soft stomps getting closer to the game room door and then finally, the door bursting open to show a very terrified you standing in the doorway looking at Katsuki with wide eyes and your hands cupped over your ears.

“Ahh there she is,” Katsuki says, chuckling to himself. He holds a hand out to you and very quickly you tiptoe over to him, grab his hand and slip onto his lap to bury your face in his neck.

“What’s going on man, you good?” It’s Kirishima’s voice this time, a hint of worry in his voice.

“Tsk, yeah I’m good. Will just have a guest with me for the rest of the time we’re playin’,” he says, wrapping an arm around your back to maneuver you so he can comfortably reach the mouse. Another rumble of thunder and you whimper and tighten your grip around his neck.

“Where are your headphones Sweets?” he asks softly in your ear.

“Dead and charging,” you reply in a muffled voice from his neck.

He chuckles again. “S’alright. I gotcha,” he whispers.

You’re so goddamn cute when you’re like this. You’re usually not this clingy. Sure, you like to hold his hand when the two of you are out, or you drape a leg over him when the two of you are sitting on the couch watching tv, but usually you’re to yourself, quiet and vibing.

“Tell the guys I say hi,” you say, as your breath tickles his neck.

“They can hear ya,” he replies ”Don’t be rude fuckers, say hi to my girl,” he bites back.

A chorus of hellos ring out from the headsets and you smile at the screen before another thunderclap hits and your back to hiding in Katsuki’s neck.

Katsuki won’t admit it aloud but thunderstorms are his favorite. It never fails. Whenever the storms start you find him wherever he is in the house and cling to him for dear life. He knows you’re strong, knows you don’t usually show this vulnerability around anyone else but he loves that you show it with him. He loves the idea that when you’re completely terrified you run to him, you seek him out, you trust him enough to protect you.

So he holds you and rubs your back as you koala onto him during the storm. He places soft kisses on your forehead between cool downs and breaks while he’s gaming with the rest of his friends and when your headphones are finally charged, he plays with one hand so you can sit at his feet and squeeze his hand when the thunder is too loud for the music to drown out.

“Alright fuckers, don’t think just cuz I’m gaming with one hand you’ll be able to beat me. I’ll dominate you all,” he says as he gives you one last peck on the forehead and unpauses the game.

boyfriend!katsuki is the biggest grump ever, until he eats. He’s already rough around the edges but his pout is most prominent when his stomach is empty. His eyebrows are furrowed together, the crease between them worse than ever. Feed him his spicy food and he may or may not calm down, but the pout and pinched eyebrows are no longer there. 

boyfriend!katsuki who is the worst person to shop with. You want his opinion because, hello! his parents are in the FASHION industry, it would be so nice to have some kind of input??? He’ll straight up sit there in the dressing room with you (because he will be damned if he’s not in there with you) on his phone, mindlessly scrolling through emails or playing some kind of shooting game. Katsu, if you’re not even going to give me a yes or a no then wait outside! You can argue with him but babes it’s falling on deaf ears. I just don’t understand why you need my opinion, it’s all coming off anyways. He’ll give your flustered face a smug look. He catches a shirt you throw at him for his suggestion before pocketing his phone. Once you have his full attention, he’s actually really helpful. May be a little….honest with his opinions but it’s always followed up with some advice on what would work better. 

boyfriend!katsuki who likes to cuddle you quietly. If he’s had a long day or is annoyed with all the extras in his life, the only thing he wants to do is lay on top of you and bury his face in your tummy. He’s bigger than you and he’s always aware of how much of his weight he’s putting on you but he just likes to be on top because it gets him extra close to you. Not to mention it feels like he’s protecting you even when falling asleep. Run your fingers through his hair if you want to but be careful if you catch a knot. He’ll bite at the chub of your hip if you pull too hard. 

boyfriend!katsuki who feels awful if he ever makes you cry. Especially if it’s during an argument where the two of you failed to see the other person’s side. His shoulders will drop and he’d still have his signature angry pomeranian look but now he’s more upset with himself for making you cry. He takes a deep breath and closes his eyes, trying to calm down before he even approaches you again. He likes to make it up to you with actions rather than words (makes you your favorite meal, runs a bath for you, AND gives you a massage at the end of the day). The next time the argument is brought up, he’s a lot calmer. Still annoyed at the subject itself but has an easier time communicating his point. 

boyfriend!katsuki who hates to have photos taken of him, but loves taking them of you. He has a folder in his phone with so many pictures of you. Unfortunately, not all of them are flattering pictures of you but don’t even think about deleting them because they’re his favorite. He will make fun of your double chin or your drool when he comes across from them but deep down he’s so happy that someone trusts him enough to be this unguarded around him. You’ve tried retaliating, but he’s got fast reflexes so you can really only get them when he’s sleepy or already sleeping. Looks too cute and soft in them for you to make fun of him >:(

boyfriend!katsuki who claims to hate that you include him in your skin care routine, but does nothing (aside from grumble) when you’re working his hair into two little pigtails on top of his forehead. The same boyfriend that claims he will bite your hand if you put that damn cream anywhere near his face, and the same boyfriend that closes his eyes when your fingers start to massage his cheeks. He claims to hate it, but his cheeks that squish themselves against your working hands claim something else. Does not have the patience for face masks, don’t try it on him. You’d scold him for taking it off as soon as he realizes what you’re putting on his face: Katsuki those were expensive! Leave it on or it won’t work. You can beg all you want, but it was your fault for picking a panda face mask, I’m not wearing that shit he’ll grumble stubbornly and actually bite your hand (playfully) if you get close to him. He doesn’t mind clear face masks as much because they don’t look as “stupid”

Bakugou Katsuki, as you’ve come to learn, is a very animated sleeper.

It all started one night when you blinked yourself awake in the quiet of your moon-kissed shared bedroom, a heavy feeling pressing down onto your body. You took a few moments to orient yourself, the vague remnants of a lingering dream winking out before your eyes. You weren’t sure why exactly you’d decided to wake up at this moment, but you were feeling a bit overheated. Summers were always brutal. When you glanced over at Katsuki, you realized that the heavy feeling you’d been puzzling over was actually his arm… and most of his torso. And one of his legs. He was splayed out on his stomach, the side of his face smooshed into his pillow as faint snores left his slightly open mouth. His head was close enough that you could feel the gentle puffs of air from his mouth against your cheek, see the small movements his eyes made as he probably dreamed a dream worthy of pro-heroes.

You blinked at him for a moment, then lifted your head slightly to look down at your body, the way Katsuki was nearly rolled on top of you. This wasn’t even the position you’d both fallen asleep in; no wonder you were feeling a bit stuffy. Katsuki always ran hot, which made him an absolute nightmare to sleep with in the warmer months of the year. You huffed out a breath of air through your nose, then tried to shift away from him a bit — at least so that you could wiggle out from under his torso.

You’d just moved a few centimeters when you heard a break in Katsuki’s breathing, his head shifting slightly as he blinked blearily at you with tired crimson eyes.

“Wuzzwrong?” he slurred slightly, lifting his head a bit from his pillow so that he could peer at your face. His hair was a bit flattened on the side he’d been resting on while the rest stuck up like a spiky dandelion.

You shook your head, a small smile on your lips at the sight of his lopsided hair. “It’s nothing,” you whispered to him, lifting up a hand so you could gently press the side of his head back onto his pillow. He let you do so with little protest, still blinking hazily all the while. “Just feeling a bit hot, is all.”

He watched you carefully for a moment, and you wondered if he was even fully awake to process what you were saying. Then he mumbled something indecipherable and rolled over onto his other side. You breathed out a sigh of relief when his body moved off of you, shuffling to make yourself comfy once more as Katsuki started snoring again almost immediately. It didn’t take long for you to fall back asleep after that, though once you woke up again in the morning, Katsuki had somehow managed to end up halfway splayed over you once more.

The next time something like that happened, you weren’t so lucky when waking up.

You were jolted awake, blinking rapidly as you stared up at the darkened ceiling of your bedroom. It took you a moment to process that you weren’t dreaming anymore, your vision swimming slightly before you blinked a few more times to clear it up. You were confused, a slight stinging sensation on your cheek making you furrow your brows. There was a weight pressed against your face, and upon turning your head, you realized that it was Katsuki’s hand. Your brows furrowed, the pieces clicking together.

The fucker had slapped you in his sleep.

You sighed, using your hand to gently move his own out of your face. He twitched slightly as you did so, his leg moving along your stomach. It was then that you realized he was splayed out like a starfish on his back, one of his thick legs resting on your torso while his hand was stretched out towards your cheek. Like this, his head was just on the edge of the bed, his opposite arm hanging off towards the floor. He seemed none the wiser to his position, slumbering peacefully away without a single care in the world.

Good for him, you thought only a little bit grumpily, glancing at the small digital clock on the nightstand next to Katsuki’s side to see it was well past two in the morning. Good that he gets to sleep while I’m awake. Bitch.

You huffed, then decided you couldn’t just leave him in this kind of precarious position; you didn’t want him to hurt his neck, after all. So you sat up slowly, turning your body so you could carefully reach over to his head to snake a hand underneath it. You’d just barely managed to squeeze your fingers under his big head before you heard a break in his breathing. He blinked himself awake, lifting his head up slightly as he gazed at you confusedly. His expression almost made you laugh, especially with the way he squinted up at you through the dim lighting of the room.

“Huh?” he eloquently asked, sleep still addling his brain as you waited for him to somewhat process what you were doing.

“You’re gonna hurt yourself like that,” you told him gently, and he wordlessly moved his gaze to see that he was very much close to possibly rolling off the bed. He grumbled under his breath, raising his body so he could shuffle back into a proper position next to you. He moved his leg off your stomach, and you lowered yourself back down onto the bed. The moment your head hit your pillow, Katsuki threw an arm over your chest and tugged you closer to him, burying his face in your hair. He breathed in deeply, then exhaled, increasing his grip on you. Within a few seconds, he was out cold once again, his breaths ruffling the small hairs on your face.

You really had no idea how he kept switching positions like that through the night. You always fell asleep together with him holding onto you, pressing your back to his chest as though he could force you into himself if he tried hard enough. It was kind of funny to you that he moved around a lot in his sleep. It was even funnier that he never seemed to remember when you told him about it in the morning. But even if he kept waking you up at night, you found that you really didn’t mind too much. Not when he held you like this, one of his legs coming up to wrap across your thighs in a way that made you feel safe. Secure.

You sighed, closing your eyes with a small smile on your face.
