This is the fucking reason for my disorder
It was about the little boy that'd do anything for his best friend. The boy whose only wish was to be a hero with his best friend. It's about Izuku's inner child standing in the river waiting for Bakugo to take his hand.
A majority of us BKDKs never believed the ship would become canon. That was never really on the table.
What it is about, is 10 years of character and relationship development completely nuked for the establishment of a different relationship that had faded into the background at best for a lot of that time.
Izuku and Katsuki are important to one another. There's zero denying that. Katsuki died for Izuku. All of his scars come from protecting Izuku in one way or another. Katsuki was devastated when he learned of OFA's loss. He worked for eight years to make sure Izuku could live out his dream.
Izuku has looked up to Katsuki since they were children. He lost the plot multiple times when Katsuki was insulted or in trouble. Shigraki himself said Katsuki was closer to Izuku than anyone else.
And all of that development brought us zero discussions about what they've been through. No talk about the impact of Katsuki's death. No talk of Katsuki's apology. No talk about Izuku's feelings about the demise of his dream. Instead, we got Izuku rejecting the idea of being partners with Katsuki, something his character for the entirety of the series would have undoubtedly loved.
Yes, people can grow apart. But show me that. Give me background on why. Give me something, anything that would explain why the Izuku at the end of the epilogue is in diametric contrast to the Izuku we saw at the end of chapter 430.
These two characters mean so much to me. I don't see myself in their story, but the love (whether platonic or otherwise) and care that they show for each other speaks to me so deeply. Katsuki's growth as a person and Izuku's acceptance of and willingness to forgive Katsuki no matter what speaks to me so deeply, and to see that thrown away stings.
It's not about the ship. It was never really about the ship.
Quietly scopes up and runs off with
I’ve recently been so obsessed with him for no reason, and I’ve noticed there’s really a lack of Ethan content in the fandom. So I thought: why not make it myself? Please tell me in the notes what do you think, and, if you want to talk about the one and only, terminally underrated Ethan Nakamura, please slide in my asks! :)
(Part 2 coming soon because I have TONS of ideas)
at some point you have to realize that you actually have to read to understand the nuance of anything. we as a society are obsessed with summarization, likely as a result of the speed demanded by capital. from headlines to social media (twitter being especially egregious with the character limit), people take in fragments of knowledge and run with them, twisting their meaning into a kaleidoscope that dilutes the message into nothing. yes, brevity is good, but sometimes the message, even when communicated with utmost brevity, requires a 300 page book. sorry.
Hes so pretttty
WIP of a special project I’ll hopefully get out by Jason’s bday
You knew the truth. There were plenty of supplies, they were slowly weeding out the undesirables. The queer. The disabled. Anyone who didnt fit the cut and dry rules in the little black book. Jokes on them though you figured since the surface, while dangerous and wild is perfectly livable and habited. Guess the fucking cult lied about more then just the resources.
The underground society known as the Community, the last known surviving humans on Earth, are facing a serious resource crisis. In order to survive, they must make a grim decision, one person must leave each year. You got the least amount of votes. You must now go up to the unlivable surface.
its rude to reblog things from people you arent mutuals with fyi. :/

A thats why its important for women to write women, Queer to right queer, and so on. We see the issues. For a cis person making it to adult hood, good job but Trans individul? We bein throwing a fuckin party.
i think what bothers me about a lot of "girl power" narratives is that they function on the implicit idea on the idea that women can become worthy of respect. and i happen to think that really caring about women means believing they already are worthy of respect. that historical seamstresses and soccer moms and forgotten sisters and sweet polite little girls and someone's weird grandma matter just as much as the warriors and politicians, even if they, personally, never accomplish anything "cool."
pls find this, i need to know juni.
does anyone remember which fic it was where izuku was ummm... abused? homeless? maybe a bit time-traveling or dimension traveling? and im pretty sure there was dadzawa as well (of course-)
and that sounds like a hundred different fics but the important detail here is that izuku had a pet/friend slug named juni. juni the slug. juni was amazing. juni had a quirk im sure, like she could speak with izuku and all. im fairly certian izuku also often wore scarves, and juni liked to hide in the scarves to always be with him??
anyway, does anyone by chance remember which fic this was?
