Hi! Do you have any tips on drawing body figures? Especially the length of the legs? And do you have tips on drawing hands? Thanks!
Only way to learn figures is to look at them and draw them. I’ve taken figure drawing and anatomy for artist classes in addition to drawing a lot. Take them if you can! And I fuck up legs more than anything because I don’t draw them enough. Easy springboard though is searching for Andrew Loomis books.
Same with hands, though there are some fairly easy to describe formulas for hands so I drew up a couple rq
First of all, for probably 90% of the hand poses you’re gonna draw, think fingers like the petals on a pinwheel. They all curve the same degree, in relation to the previous.
While there is a lot of appropriate rage about Ferguson right now, the killing of John Crawford, III is getting less attention than it deserves. I put Shaun King’s tweets and history lesson on the matter in chronological order for easier consumption.

The whole “you have to earn a living” rhetoric is really toxic. Have we considered that maybe, in 2015, basic needs like housing, food, and medicine don’t really need to be “earned” but should, in any reasonably industrialized country, be guaranteed?
The fact that trans women have just been completely booted out of this conversation on police brutality smfh…

A bit late, but happy birthday you doof.
Athena picks fights on the playground from age seven Soon all the boys worship her At thirteen she learns to fire a gun And calls her sister’s longbow “ineffective” She destroys the competition in debates and wrestling matches alike, Learns to march but finds she’d much rather command, Climbs to the top of the military tree, Stepping on anyone who gets in her way Artemis is all scraped knees and bruised shins A fierce little girl who does what she wants A teenager with grass stains on her dresses and rage in her heart She dislikes the company of men At age fifteen she kisses a girl and decides she likes it almost as much as shooting At eighteen she knows that one girl will never be enough Aphrodite has always been pretty and she knows it She grew up fast but chocolate and flowers and favours were her rewards She keeps a notebook by her bed Hot pink like the marks she leaves on boys necks Filled with phone numbers, her own personal directory They’d do anything for her and that’s just how she likes it
Modern Goddesses (via morganaajones)
Many have heard me and other members of the Paizo crew discuss our constant efforts to make the Pathfinder RPG a welcoming place for gamers of all stripes. Regardless, I’ve never been comfortable with the idea of pointing out places where we get things right (or make an honest attempt to get things right) in a professional venue. To me, that sounds like corporate bragging, and, worse, it sounds like marketing, when really it’s just people trying to be decent to each other.
That being said, I’ve had many readers ask me what Paizo products they can go to if they want to see more LGBTQ characters in Pathfinder. The answer’s a ton of places, literally dozens of adventures, sourcebooks, novels, and more.
So, for my personal reference, for your use (because if you’re here you’re an interested, charming, wonderful person), and for the guidance of those about to ask, I’ve assembled this list of 50 LGBTQ characters from the Pathfinder RPG. These are the first 50 characters who either leapt to mind or were on hand, and as such the sources and dates are skewed toward more recent characters. That also means that this is incredibly far from a comprehensive list. If you’re interested in the particulars of a character’s gender, sexuality, portrayal, role, or other specifics, I encourage you to either check out the PDF of the book in question or ask your fellow gamers on the product discussions linked with each. Additionally, at the end I’ve included a few links to past (and one future) discussions about LGBTQ topics and inclusivity in the Pathfinder RPG and the wider RPG world.
Hopefully these will be helpful next time you have a could-be gamer friend who says “I don’t know if that’s for me.” Turns out, Pathfinder’s for everybody, so come play!

dear bisexual / pansexual women and political lesbians,
you need to immediately disclose to any woman you plan on dating if you are, in fact, a lesbian, or if you are something else. some lesbians are open to dating bi / pan / PL ladies. some are not. withholding this information is harmful, deceitful behavior that can make lesbians feel unsafe and devalued.
picture it: you’re a lesbian, looking to start a relationship. you meet a woman who claims that she, too, is a lesbian. this signifies that you have, at the very least, a shared sexuality, and you can bond about your experience as a woman who is attracted exclusively to women, which is outside of the patriarchal, heterocentric structure of the vast majority of societies.
now, imagine that you, a lesbian who is incapable of being attracted to men, get a confession from your girlfriend: she discloses to you that, yeah, actually, she could possibly be with a man and feel emotionally and sexually fulfilled. she, as a bi- or pansexual, is capable of thinking about having sex with a man and not feeling revulsion. your initial feeling of intimacy and security related to the sharing of a sexuality - one of the most basic aspects of your being, which is essential to you - is gone.
wouldn’t that hurt? wouldn’t that make you feel insecure? wouldn’t you get angry, if you were put into that position?
